0.9: The Mischievous Cat Girl
(A/N: THIS IS A FILLER CHAPTER ! It is the story of Baek Ju-Mi, the coined "Mischievous Cat Girl")
The Story Of Baek Ju-Mi
Ju-Mi was always an odd girl. A being imbued with magic, a powerful magic that can't otherwise be manifested. Ju-Mi was a simple girl with simple aspirations. Ju-Mi herself having heterochromatic eyes; one blue & one yellow. Like a cat. She came from a far place within space called TX0304. This place had magic beings of all kinds.
Ju-Mi had no idea why she had this magic that can't be manifested inside her... So she did the only thing she could think of. She took a small oak chest in a frost white shade, marking the box with symbols even she wasn't aware of. However, it was safe to assume she wrote the symbols with in a trance of some kind. Trapping this excessive magic within the confines of the small chest.
"Take me to a place where I can transfer this magic elsewhere...", Ju-Mi muttered as she held onto the small box in her hands. A hole in space opened up upon her desperate call out for help. Without much thought Ju-Mi stepped through the opening.
Upon crossing, Ju-Mi was transported to Monzara almost immediately. The box in her hands burning slightly. Why was the box doing this ? Is it because of the magic she trapped inside it ? Quickly Ju-Mi covered herself in a cloak as she tried to blend in.
Ju-Mi got into the crowd easily as she heard all kinds of things about magic. Some despised magic. Some loved magic. Other was neutral & preferred to not pick any sides. This when Ju-Mi stopped a woman who belonged to one of the marked houses, Ben' mother. "Why is everyone so torn about magic ? What's happened ?" She asked keeping the chest in her hand hidden from view under her cloak.
Ben' mother answered he question with mixed emotions. Remorse & sadness. In standing by her views on magic, Mrs. Choi had lost her son. "마법이라고요? 우리가 그렇게 부를 수 있을까요? 그것이 가져다주는 것은 고통뿐입니다." (Magic ? Can we even call it such a thing ? All it brings is agony.) Ju-Mi could tell the woman was sad, but decided not to push her. After all this was a world she wasn't super familiar with.
She walked a while before stumbling across the market. She decided to set up shop, putting the chest she was hiding on display. Most avoided her before a man approached her. This man in particular having an intense magical aura, but clearly was completely human. J.C. immediately fell in love with the chest upon seeing it. He had no idea why, but he wanted to get it for the boys.
"This chest is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...", he said as he offered a smile in her direction. Ju-Mi returned his smile & rested a hand on the box. "I'd be happy to give it to you, but you'd need to answer a question of mine. Is that alright ?"
J.C. wasn't fussed. He had nothing to hide since it had become a known fact that he was affiliated with magic & the five boys who marked their childhood homes after their deaths. "당신의 질문은 무엇입니까?" (What is your question ?)
Ju-Mi sighed as she asked J.C. the question, "Why do you want the chest ?" J.C. found this question simple. He had nothing to hide, but could tell that Ju-Mi was trying to get rid of the frost white chest. To him, she was just a merchant in a cloak. "It has the same symbols as the marked houses here. I think it would benefit a few magical people I know..."
Upon hearing his honest testimony, Ju-Mi handed the chest over to J.C. Once she was far from the market Ju-Mi turned into a cat as she crossed a hole in space back over to TX0304...
She had a feeling that chest was better suited where it was now...
