KAIRO POV

Waking up in a lake was not as fun as you'd think. I quickly looked over my surroundings. Ben & J.C. were nowhere in sight, but the others were still floating unconscious.

Once out of the lake I wandered into the woods. My eyesight was a bit disorientated still. I ended up a little ways away from the new lake near our sanctuary. "Pssst !", I heard somewhere in-between the trees. What was going on ?

It probably wasn't the best option, but I answered. "What ? Who are you ? What do you want ?" The movement was quick as it moved through the trees. I managed to spot a pointed ear. What was it ? "보고 들을 수 있어요?" (You can see and hear me ?), it asked timidly still hiding a bit.

I sighed as I sat down in the grass. "It seems that I can..." My eyes were still disorientated. What was going on with me ? Slowly whatever was in the trees walked towards me. It was a boy. More specifically an elven boy. "Your eyes look hazy. What are you seeing ?"

"I see this symbol. It is all I see at this moment..." At this moment the elven by handed me a pail of water. "물을 마셔요. 도움이 될 것이에요." (Drink the water. That should help.) Mindlessly I did as he suggested. It didn't entirely get rid of the symbol, but it did make my vision clearer. "Who are you ? Why are you here ?"

The boy offered a smile, "My name's Hyun-Woo. As you can see, I am an elf..." He couldn't have been any younger than me. But it was also hard to distinguish age with him in general. "What was that water ? How did you know it would help me ?"

Hyun-Woo sat next to me as he sighed. He looked both impressed & horrified. What did he know exactly ? "당신은 재능이 있어요, 카이로아. 당신이 본 그 상징은 당신의 희귀한 능력의 시작이었습니다. 당신은 자연과 하나예요." (You have a gift, Kairo ah. That symbol you saw was the opening of your rare ability. You are one with nature.) What ability was he talking about ? I thought magical beings couldn't manifest rare abilities...

"What does that mean ? What is my ability ?" Hyun-Woo didn't say much else besides sit what I assumed to be a wand in my hands. Almost instantly I could tell what the wand was made out. Mahogany.

Then silence overcame us where we sat in the middle of the trees.

A while passed before I headed into the institute with Hyun-Woo drifting back behind the treeline...
