Chapter 24: Dare

LOUIEGIE'S POINT OF VIEW

"Lauren!" I shouted when I saw her walking toward the direction of Aerin. She looked at me with a confused look.

"What do you want, Louiegie? Why are you here?" she said.

"Stop what you have to do with Aerin. Don't do it, Lauren."

She raised her brow. "And, why would I listen to you, huh? That Aerin right there..." She pointed at Aerin who's just sitting at our amphitheater. "...is the reason why you didn't brought Winter back here, okay? So, don't you dare stop me again from the thing that I have to do."

She was about to go when I held her arm. "It's not Aerin's fault because it's mine, Lauren. My fault. I can go to the counter and ask why is she absent, but I chose not to. I chose to talk to her than bring Winter back, okay? So, you shouldn't blame her." I let go of her arm.

"I have one word, Louiegie. If I said I will blame her, I will. And, why do you kept on protecting her, huh? You're playing the little hero now just for that girl that you didn't even know?"

"I know her, Lauren. She's Aerin Lyanna Villan."

She rolled her eyes. "You don't even know if that's her true name, Louiegie. You don't know where is she leaving. You don't know her behavior. You don't know what kind of person is she. You know nothing, Louiegie! Nothing, so stop protecting her because it would just be a waste."

"Okay, okay. I won't stop you, but can you just tell me what will you do to her? "

"I will break her whole body," she said that made my eyes bigger.

"What?! You will break her whole body? Don't do that, Lauren, Don't."

"I will, Louiegie and you can't stop me."

"Don't, Lauren. Don't." I just kept on saying it until she shouted.

"Fine! I won't break her whole body, but just let me break her right foot, will you?" she raised her brow.

I shook my head. "You won't also do that, Lauren."

"You will let me break her right foot or I will break her whole body? Pick!" she angrily shouted.

I showed her my hands, sign of defeat. "Okay, you can break her right foot, but you will take her to a hospital, right, Lauren?"

"And, what made you think that I will do that, huh, Louiegie?"

"Private doctor?"

"I won't."

"Nurse?"

"I won't."

"School clinic?"

"Fine!" she shouted. "Now, don't you dare talk to me because I have something to break," she smirked before she went near Aerin. I saw Aerin diverted her gaze to Lauren when Lauren stood up at front of her, smiling. I also went near them, so that I can stop Lauren if she's being too much.

"Hi. You are Aerin?" Lauren asked, still smiling.

Aerin had a confusing look when she stood up. "Yeah, I'm Aerin. How did you know?"

She smirked. "By a common friend."

"Oh, okay," Dixie laughed awkwardly. "You are?"

"I'm Lauren Ava Houston. Lauren for short." She offered her hand that Dixie happily accepted.

I also noticed that Aerin's eyes are sparkling. "I guess you know my name by a common friend. But, I want to introduce myself formally. I'm Aerin Lyanna Villan. Your mother is Mrs. Laurie Houston?" Lauren nodded. "I've heard how great your mother when it comes to law," she smiled.

"Yeah, she's great. You're not a student here based on your shirt, so what are you doing here?"

"I'm just finding someone that's here."

"So, did you already found that 'someone'?"

"Yeah and I'm so happy."

Lauren raised her brow. "Then, why are you still here if you already found that 'someone'? Is there anything else that you will do?"

"Yeah, there is. I still needed watch her even just from a long distance," Aerin said as she nodded.

"Whatever. So, can you walk even if you will only use your left foot?" she smirked.

Aerin's forehead twitched as she nodded. "Yes, I can. Why?"

"Close your eyes then sit comfortably. It will hurt a little, but you deserve it."

"W-What will you do, L-Lauren?"

Lauren thought for a second before she answered Aerin. "I will just break your right foot," she smiled. "Now, do what I said before I even got angrier, will you?"

Eve if she looks scared and confused, Aerin still sat and closed her eyes. I don't know why is Aerin letting Lauren break her right foot. Lauren got Aerin's right foot and twisted it until we heard some bones in the foot. Instead of shouting, Aerin just closed her eyes and smiled while Lauren did it. Something's strange here.

"I'm finished." Lauren looked at where I was. "Now, carry Aerin and bring her to the clinic, Louiegie."

Before Lauren can go, Aerin spoke. "I'm happy to meet you, Lauren. Don't worry, I won't be angry at you, instead, I'm happy that you did it because I can tell how strong are you," she smiled. Lauren just rolled her eyes before she totally left.

I went near Aerin. "I'm sorry about this, Aerin. It's my fault why Lauren did this to you."

She looked at me, confused. "You're the common friend that Lauren's talking about?" she asked and I nodded that made her smile again. "Thank you, Louiegie. Thank you." Even if I'm confused why is she acting like that, I still carried her to the clinic.

"Anong nangyari sa paa niya?" the nurse asked when we arrived at the clinic.

I'm about to answer the nurse when Aerin spoke. "I just had a sprained foot, Nurse." I looked at Aerin with a confused look because of her answer.

"Why didn't you told the nurse the truth, Aerin?"

She smiled. "Because I don't want Lauren to get in trouble just because of me. And what she did to me was just a little thing, Louiegie. This is nothing to worry."

"Pakitaas po ng paa niyo, Ma'am." Aerin followed the nurse's instruction and the nurse treated her foot. "Sigurado po ba kayong nai-sprain lang po ito, Ma'am? Mas malala po kasi ang lagay na ito kaysa sa mga sprain na nagamot ko dati."

Aerin nodded. "I'm a med student, so I know that this is just a sprain, Nurse." The nurse just nodded as I looked at Aerin.

"You're a med student?"

"I'm a med student in a med school near here."

"When will you graduate?"

"This month of May and, then I will do my first year training called internship."

I smiled. "How old are you then?"

"I'm turning 25 this April. I hope you can come, Louiegie"

"I'll surely will, Aerin." After the nurse treated Aerin's foot, we went to the amphitheater. "Why don't you want Lauren to get in trouble? I'm not saying that you should get her in trouble, but I'm just wandering."

Aerin smiled. "Because I'm happy that I met her even if she did this to me." I saw tears on the side of her eyes.

I looked at her. "I know that I'm not in place to ask this, but who is this someone that you're finding before because I heard that you already found that someone?"

"It's someone that's so special to me, but I don't even know if she knew me. Actually, I don't recognized her when she went near me, but when she said her name, my whole body became happy and excited."

"I'm happy that you found whoever is that. And, I'm pretty sure that she knows you," I smiled.

"She wouldn't act like that in front of me if she really knows me," she said as she shook her head.

"How did she act?" Aerin was about answer when I heard Flinn's voice.

"Is this Aerin?" she raised her brow as she looked at Aerin who's forehead is now twitched. When Flinn's gaze looked at Aerin's foot, her face became curious. "That's all what she did to this Aerin?" she asked me and I just nodded. She suddenly hugged Aerin. "Omg! You're so lucky, girl."

Aerin just laughed awkwardly. "You also knew me?" she asked.

Flinn faced Aerin. "Yeah. My friend Lauren said that you're Aerin Lyanna Villan."

I saw that Aerin's eyes are sparkling again. "She remembered my whole name?"

"Yeah, of course, she will remember it. By the way, is your foot now okay?" Flinn looked at Aerin's foot again.

"Uh, yeah. How did you know..."

"Flinn. Flinn Jane Azelart."

"How did you know, Flinn?"

Flinn chuckled. "Because I'm the one who told her what does you look like and where you are."

"Really?" Flinn nodded and Aerin was the one who hugged her now. "Thank you, Flinn. You don't know how happy am I because of what you did."

Flinn faced her. "Okay, okay. Now, can we be friends, Aerin?" She offered her hand and Aerin accepted it.

"Of course, Flinn. We're friends now."

"Since you already know Lauren and me, I assume that you also know Winter by now, right?"

Aerin thought for a minute before she nodded. "Yeah, I think she was the future wife that Louiegie told me?"

"Yeah, she is. And you're the reason why Louiegie didn't had the chance to bring her back here?"

I glared at Flinn and mouthed, "I said, it wasn't Aerin's fault."

"Pardon?" Aerin's forhead twitched.

"Omg! You didn't know?" Aerin shook her head. "Well, my friend Lauren did that to your poor little right foot because you're the reason why Louiegie didn't had the chance to bring Winter back here. He was supposed to go to Winter, but you talked to him, so this is the consequence," she shrugged her shoulders. "But to tell you the truth, this is not the consequence that I'm expecting from Lauren. I'm expecting that she would break your whole body and not just your right foot," she chuckled.

Aerin swallowed hard. "S-She can do that?"

"Yeah, she can, I can and especially, Louiegie's future wife and our dear friend Winter can do that without hesitation."

Aerin's mouth formed into an 'o'. "You three are amazing, Flinn. So if you can do it, Louiegie can also do it?"

Flinn laughed. "I assume not, Aerin. He's weak, you know?"

I glared at Flinn. "I can also do it, but I'm just doing it if it is needed, Flinn," I denfensed.

"Louiegie, do you know the saying that 'to see is to believe'?" I nodded. "Well, I want you to let us see if you can really do it."

"How? I can't just hurt anyone because you said, Flinn."

"Then do it to yourself, Louiegie."

"What?! I can't do that, Flinn. I said I don't want to hurt anyone, so that means I'm included," I said.

Flinn laughed as she looked at Aerin. "What do you want Louiegie to do for us to believe what is he saying, Aerin?" she smiled.

"He will just be hurt, Flinn. Amd it will be hard for him to do it because it's his own body. Our own body especially our health must be our always first priority, Flinn. Always."

Flinn winced. "What are you, Aerin? A doctor?"

She shook her head. "Not yet because I'm just a med student."

"Oh, is that so? Do you know that Lauren said to me that she also wanted to be a med student, to be a doctor?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. Her Mom is a lawyer and her Dad is a business man, so I'm wondering why did she wanted to be a doctor."

"My parents are the same as hers, but I also decided to take this path. Maybe, it's because I wanted to help other people save their lives," Aerin smiled.

"That's so sweet of you, Aerin, but what type of doctor you want to be?" Flinn asked.

"A neurologist," Aerin simply answered.

"That's the doctor of the brains, right, Aerin?" Aerin nodded. "Well, that's a great profession. You can save the people's lives by operating their brains."

Aerin smiled. "Indeed, Flinn."

Flinn nodded. "So, back to our topic. Louiegie, can you really do it?"

"Yes, Flinn, but I wouldn't do it to anyone," I said.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Louiegie. Why don't you just say that you're weak, huh?" she smirked.

I shook my head. "I'm not weak, Flinn."

"Is that so, Louiegie? Then, why don't you do it?"

"Because I don't want to, Flinn."

"Just say that you are weak, Louiegie."

"I said I'm not, Flinn," I irritatedly said.

Flinn smiled at me. "Since, I have something to tell you and you want to prove that you aren't weak, I dare you to see me on Friday, Louiegie."
