WINTER'S POINT OF VIEW

When I woke up, it is already 8:00 A.M., but I do not care because today is Saturday.

After leaving my room, I went to the dining hall for a meal.

After I ate my breakfast, I changed to jogging clothes. I am about to go out when one of our maids blocked my way.

"What do you want?" I asked, but it seemed like she heard nothing, so I didn't get a response from her that made me angry. "Tell me, Yaya, what do you want," I repeated.

"K-Kasi po si M-Master Jerome pinapatawag po kayo eh," our maid said while stuttering. "May pagu-usapan daw po kayo," she added.

She said something else, but I didn't hear it because I went to my dad's office. When I arrived in front of dad's office, I saw him looking in the distance and his face seemed in trouble.

"What do you want dad?" I said to him.

"I wonder what will dad say to me."

He suddenly went back to reality. "Anak come here," he told me, and I came closer. "Winter, our business is failing," he added. It shocked me when Dad said those words because I know that he's good at running our businesses.

"Don't worry, Dad, I will fix this mess," I said seriously.

"How will you fix it?" he asked.

"I will go to our bar on Friday," I replied. "Just please dad, trust me this time."

"Okay Win, please... just fix this mess," dad said as he diverted his gaze away from me.

After I left dad's office, I went outside to go jogging. As I was jogging, I saw Flinn with a new male companion that I think her new boyfriend.

I hope that she will not love him as much as he did for Marco because I don't want to see any of my genuine friends get hurt.

I approach them with a smile on my face. "Good morning, Flinn. Who's this guy?" I pointed at the guy that's next to her.

"Uh... him? That's Rye Kade, my childhood friend, and my new boyfriend," Flinn said shyly.

"Um... Can I talk to Rye? If that is okay to you, Flinn."

"Sure why not! Rye, I will wait for you here." She sat down on the bench.

While we're walking, nobody's talking between us. When I'm sure that Flinn would not hear us, I stopped that made Rye stopped as well.

"Rye, please be honest. Do you really love my friend Flinn?" I asked him.

"Yes. I love your friend and I will take the risk just for her to be safe," he said sincerely as he looked at the girl sitting on the bench. "Why?"

"I just want to make sure if my friend won't get hurt again because I don't want to see my friend crying just for a guy who hurt her. I don't want that."

"Don't worry, I won't let that happen again to Flinn. I promise that I will take care of her, and I also promise that I will protect her even if it cost my life." I saw a smile on his face.

"I will keep your promise. Despite all that happened to her life, I am happy that you are here for her to make her happy and to protect her. Thank you, Rye!" I almost cried after I said those words to him.

Before I can cry, I invited him to go back to Flinn, and he just nodded his head.

When we got to Flinn's place, I embraced her and whispered, "I am happy for you, Flinn!"

When I felt that she can't breathe I let go of our hug.

"Flinn, Rye, I'll leave. I just have to go somewhere," I waved my hand.

"Bye Winter. Take care," Flinn smiled. She was sitting next to Rye.

While I'm jogging, I can't help but smile when thinking about the promises that Rye said to me, which proved how much he loves Flinn. I just hope that it's genuine love.

My brain was so occupied that I didn't even notice that I had collided. As I raised my head, a familiar face that I could not remember very much faced me.

He was about to reach for my hand when I stood up and fixed my clothes. "It's you again?" I raised my brow when I realized that he's also the one who poured juice on my uniform yesterday. "Why are you here, Nerd Boy? Are you following me? Are you my stalker? If yes, I will say to you right now that you don't have a chance on me. Your not my type."

"Uh... I am not your stalker, Miss. I'm justㅡ" I didn't let him finish his sentence because I left him before he can ruin my entire day.

"Until here, I can still see his ugly face. Argh! I whispered to myself as I rolled my eyes.

And because I saw the face of that nerd. I lost my appetite for jogging. I went home because I was a little tired.

When I got home, I found Dad eating at the dining hall. He called me, but I just ignored him and I walked upstairs.

After I changed my clothes, I just thought about sleeping because I woke up early and I am tired because of jogging.

When I woke up, it's already 2:00 in the afternoon. I went shopping because I'm short of foundation and lipstick.

When I am satisfied with my looks, I went out to go to our driver. "Manong, can you come with me?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am," he answered politely.

When I got out, I met daddy, and he's looking at me like he's wondering where I am going. "Where are you going, anak?"

"I will just go to the mall 'cuz I don't have enough foundation and lipstick." When he noticed that I'm irritated, he let me leave.

When dad left, I saw our car with our driver. He opened the door for me. After I entered, I closed the door immediately before our driver can close it.

When he realized that it annoyed me, he hurried to the driver's seat. "Ma'am, saan po ba tayo pupunta?" I remembered that I didn't say to him where are we going.

"We're going to the mall." Hays! Why did I still saw him earlier? I'm in a grim mood because of him. I rolled my eyes.

When we arrived at the mall, I went straight to our shop in the mall selling makeup.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Schneider. Mukhang hindi niyo po yata kasama ngayon si Mr. Schneider?" asked by the guard after I entered our room.

"Oh, my dad? He is busy as always." I rolled my eyes. "By the way, where is Ana?" I roam around my gaze to find my favorite staff here, but I didn't see her.

"Ma'am wala po talaga ngayon si Ana dahil day off niya po ngayon," said by the guard.

I just picked the best-selling makeup here because I'm a little bored. When I'm finished, I leave the store.

I am about to go out of the mall when I saw Lauren at the Starbucks, sipping from her drink, Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, her favorite drink in Starbucks.

When I saw that she's alone, I sat in front of her and ordered Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Creme.

"What the hell!" she exclaimed, expression looked shocked after she saw me. I think she didn't notice me when I sat in front of her because it looks like she's busy at her phone, texting.

"What? I just want to be with my friend. What's wrong with that?" I said as I controlled myself from laughing.

"You just startled me and now you're asking me what. Seriously, Winter," she said as she sipped from her drink.

"I was here earlier and yet you didn't even notice me. Tell me, am I invisible?" I said that made her laugh.

"What wrong with what I've said? Argh, this girl!"

"Anyway, who are you texting and it seemed like you're busy with your phone? Tell me, is that the boy who has a crush on you? I didn't know that you are now interested in nerd," I asked with sarcasm.

"No! It's not what you think and I just want to clarify that I am not texting with that nerd who is so obsessed with my beautiful face," she said as she shook her head that made me laugh.

"So, who are you texting if it's not the nerd that likes you?"

"It's Dad, asking where am I because I didn't say goodbye to him when I left the house," she answered.

She focused on her phone again when it vibrated. So I just roam around my gaze. It shocked me when I saw who was the boy next to our table; it was the boy who poured juice on my uniform yesterday, he was also the boy who I bumped into earlier.

I approached him when I saw him looking at me too. "Hey, what are you doing here?!" I exclaimed. "Are you my stalker? Are you following me?" I repeated my question earlier while I was jogging because he didn't still answer me.

"Hey Winter, isn't that the one who poured juice on you yesterday?" Lauren asked, so I nodded as my answer. "And why are you talking to him?" her forehead twitched.

"As I have said earlier, I am not your stalker. And I am not following you. I think it just happened that we're here in the same mall and the same village," the boy explained.

"Winter, calm down. That boy isn't following you," Lauren calmed me. "Let's go back to our table because everyone here is staring at us. It is embarrassing, Winter."

I followed her because when I turned my back; I saw the customers staring at us, and the staffs here.

"Thanks Lau! If you hadn't stopped me, I might have done something to that boy," I thanked her after I calmed down.

"No problem! Also, I just stopped you because all the customers, and even the staffs here are already looking at you," she explained.

"I felt so embarrassed after it," I told her, laughing.

When we finished drinking our frappe, we left there.

As we walked, I noticed a familiar face of the man I think was in the 40-mids.

"Hey Lauren! Is that your Dad?" I asked, pointing at the man who I saw.

"Oh, god! I said to him to not follow me, but now he is here and looks like he will pick me up," she complaint./

Mr. Houston approached us and talked to his daughter. "Lau, let's go. Do you know that we were already worried about where you went and then you are just here at the mall?!" he shouted, looking angry.

"Dad, I told you on my text message that I am here at the mall with Winter and I am safe so there is no need to worry," she explained.

"Jin! Thank you for taking care of my naughty daughter," Mr. Houston told me.

"Dad, who's Jin?" Lauren asked, forehead twitched.

I rolled my eyes. "My god, Lauren! My second name is Jin, don't you remember?" I looked at her with disbelief.

Her eyes widened as her mouth formed into an 'o'. "Oh, yeah! Now I remember that your second name is Jin." I just winced by what she said.

"By the way, Jin, how is your dad?" Mr. Houston asked. I almost forgot that Mr. Houston and my father are business partners.

"My dad is just okay, Tito," I answered, smiling.

"Excuse us, Jin. I'm going to take Lauren home. Just say to your father that I want to talk to him someday," he told me, bidding goodbye.

When I returned, our driver was still there. When he saw me, he immediately opened the car door for me.

When we got home, a chaotic mansion appeared to me as if a storm had passed. "What is happening here?!" I shouted, worrying.

"Ma'am, si Master Jerome po kasi nagwawala. Kakapasok lang po niya sa kwarto niya," answered by one of our maids.

When I opened my dad's room, my dad's more chaotic room opened up to me again. "Dad, what is happening?" I asked as I approached him.

"This is nothing, anak. Just go upstairs to your room," said Dad, who is now massaging his forehead.

Fearing that he might scold me, I just obeyed him and went to go upstairs to my room.

When I arrived at my room, I went to my balcony. When I'm stressed, I will go here to my balcony because I felt comfortable here.

When I looked around the mansion next to our mansion, it surprised me because there was the man I hated.

I think he also saw me, so he smiled at me, but I just rolled my eyes.

Well, I guess what he said is true. We are in the same village.

Wait! What? We are in the same village and our mansions are just next to each other. Oh, I guess they are our new neighbor that moved there last week.

It looks like I will be in a grim mood every day.
