Will shifted slightly, laying beside Ironhide. Ironhide was snoring, in deep stasis. Will couldn't sleep though. his spark was hurting. he was trying to decide if waking Ratchet would be worth it, but as it got worse he decided he had to.

"Ratchet?" Will commed quietly. he waited a moment, about to do it again, when Ratchet answered tiredly.

"William?" Ratchet mumbled confused.

"I'm sorry to wake you. I was hoping you could tell me what I could do to make my spark stop hurting." Will said. it was quiet again, he was afraid Ratchet had fallen back to sleep.

"your spark or your chest?" Ratchet ask.

"kinda both." Will said.

"come to the medbay." Ratchet sighed. Will got up, making Ironhide shift.

"Will?" Ironhide mumbled, still half asleep.

"I'll be back." Will replied. Ironhide mumbled quietly and snored loudly. Will chuckled softly and headed down to the medbay, rubbing his chest plate. Ratchet and Wheeljack both were waiting for him. Will was extremely confused as he was told to sit down. Ratchet looked him over and nodded. he brought up the new scan and the previous scan from nearly a month ago.

"see this?" Ratchet ask, pointing to the much brighter little ball coming off the side of Will spark.

"uh, yeah I do.... it doesn't look so good." Will said.

"well it's not bad technically." Wheeljack assured. Will nodded slightly and Ratchet heaved a clearly tired sigh.

"I'm not going to hee-haw around Will. that is a sparkling." Ratchet said. Will seemed semi confused.

"um... I know I've heard that term but..." Will trailed looking between them. they appeared to be talking to each other through their bond and eventually Ratchet nodded, and headed to bed. Wheeljack plopped onto the berth beside Will and explained, even bringing up pictures from when he'd carried. he answered any questions he could, but insisted that he talk to Ironhide sometime. he did give him something to help with the pain in his chest plate, then sent him off. Will walked back to his and Ironhides room silently. Wheeljack and Ratchet hadn't said Ironhide knew, but he had a feeling the mech already knew, or atleast had his own suspicions. Will laid back down beside the weapon specialist, who mumbled and shifted.

"hope thats you Will." Ironhide grumbled.

"did you know about the sparkling?" Will ask. Ironhide grumbled.

"sparklings are our versions of babies." Ironhide mumbled.

"yes. I know. did you know about the sparkling?" Will ask.

"Will there hasn't been a sparkling in years. go to sleep." Ironhide growled softly. Will, semi satisfied that Ironhide hadn't known, nodded and offlined his optics.

*next morning*

Will shifted and onlined his optics, Ironhide was gone. that wasn't unusual, since his chest had started hurting, Will slept longer than Ironhide because it took him longer to get to sleep. he got up slowly, expecting pain, but he felt none. he relaxed slightly and got up.

"Ironhide." Will said.

"yes William?" Ironhide replied.

"did you know about the sparkling?" Will ask firmly.

"what sparkling?" Ironhide ask.

"Ratchet informed me of a sparkling last night." Will said.

"we will discuss this later." Ironhide said.

"where are you?" Will ask curiously.

"Autobot rec room, cleaning my cannons." Ironhide muttered. Will headed for the rec room. he was hoping to see Epps as he passed the human rec. he stopped in and looked just to see, but didn't see Epps. he frowned, but kept walking. he walked in a looked around, a lot of Autobots were in here, no wonder Ironhide didn't want to discuss that right now. "did you rest well William?" Ironhide ask.

"yeah. sure. you snore like a lawn mower." Will smirked.

"I do not!" Ironhide huffed.

"you really do." Will shrugged.

"do not." Ironhide scoffed.

"yes you do." Will shrugged. Ironhide stood, flipping his other cannon out and aiming them at Will, who had never been afraid of the cannons.

"do you want to die?" Ironhide glared. Will stared at him a moment before clearing his throat and reaching forward. Ironhide watched him surprised, until he pulled his servo away with the cleaning rag Ironhide had been using. he waved it slightly, then stood back.

"should I pretend to be scared now?" Will ask. Ironhide narrowed his optics.

"no now you should run." Ironhide offered darkly. Will gave a nervous chuckle and a small wave.

"bye." Will yelped running off. Ironhide ran after him. he made sure to let Will feel he wasn't angry or annoyed, he was amused. Ironhide turned the corner a moment after Will ran around it and stopped, Will was gone. Ironhide frowned slightly, looking around.

"you can't hide forever Will." Ironhide called.

"I'm not hiding I'm right infront of you." Will said. Ironhide was confused, using his scanners to check for him.

"no. I'm not even picking you up on my scanners." Ironhide said.

"you really can't see me?" Will ask, confused and semi scared.

"no." Ironhide said. he reached an arm out. "come on, I'll take you to Wheeljack. you might have an invisibility cloak." Ironhide said. he felt Will grab onto him. "Jack I got a problem." Ironhide commed.

"you and Will okay?" Wheeljack ask.

"well 'Jack, I'd love to say we're fine, but Wills invisible. we're kinda heading for your lab so you can fix him." Ironhide said.

"isn't his lab like a place we shouldn't go to?" Will ask worriedly. Ironhide had left the com open so everyone could hear Will was invisible.

"it's a little dangerous, thats why I warned him." Ironhide said. he pulled Will into the lab.

"hey guys. give me just a second. I haven't had to break this thing out in a long time. not since Mirage got stuck." Wheeljack said.

"Mirage?" Will ask.

"he's an old friend." Ironhide explained. Will nodded slightly, not that either of them saw it. Wheeljack pulled something out and held it out.

"here this will shock your cloak and turn it off." Wheeljack said. Ironhide grabbed it quickly.

"for a second here lets just remember the sparkling." Ironhide said, giving Wheeljack a dirty look. Wheeljack frowned slightly and thought.

"it shouldn't hurt it." Wheeljack said.

"your choice Will." Ironhide said.

"I mean it's worth a shot, Wheeljack said it was safe." Will said, taking it from Ironhide. immediately the device shocked him and he was standing beside Ironhide. he handed the device back to Wheeljack. "thanks." Will said. Wheeljack nodded and smiled at them. they left quietly. "so you're worried about the sparkling?" Will ask curiously.

"should I not be?" Ironhide ask. Will seemed confused.

"I don't know, I just assumed you wouldn't care." Will said. Ironhide looked at him.

"Will, of course I care, it's a sparkling. not to mention the fact your my bond mate and it's ours. I care. if it makes you feel better, and relax, I care about you too, so just relax. just roll with this." Ironhide said. Will nodded slightly.

"yeah right, roll with it. nothing like being human one minute and being a Cybertronian... what do you call this?" Will motioned to his chest.

"carrying." Ironhide chimed amusedly.

"yeah a carrying Cybertronian. nothing screams roll with it quite like that." Will huffed. Ironhide chuckled amused.

"just relax Will. everything happens for a reason." Ironhide nodded walking off. Will stared after him a moment, then followed quickly.
