two weeks after the bond, Ironhide started feeling weird. not from his side of the bond, but from Wills. Will didn't seem to realize it. he seemed okay, but do to the bond, Ironhide knew he wasn't.

"Will." Ironhide said, grabbed him. Will seemed surprised and turned.

"uh, Hide?" Will ask.

"come here." Ironhide said. Will looked confused and worried.

"uh yeah. okay. give me a second Sam, I'll be right back." Will said, following Ironhide. he could feel that Ironhide was worried, so something was wrong. "uh... your worried? whats wrong?" Will ask. Ironhide let go and looked at him.

"have you noticed anything different with your systems?" Ironhide ask. Will shook his head.

"no not really." Will shrugged. "I feel the same way I have for nearly what, eight months? yeah just about. why?" Will ask.

"let me correct myself, do you feel any different with your spark?" Ironhide ask, poking at his chest plate. Will smacked his hand away.

"don't poke me. it feels weird." Will mumbled. "no I haven't noticed any issues with my spark, why?" Will ask.

"your spark has changed over the two weeks." Ironhide said.

"Ratchet said mine could change after the bond because I was human." Will explained. Ironhide nodded slightly. "I ask him about it, because my chest started hurting and you didn't seem to have any issues with that." Will said. "but you know Sams bonded and-" Will was cut off.

"Samuel is bonded?" Ironhide ask.

"yeah to Bumblebee. anyway, he said his chest hurt really bad after they bonded." Will said. Ironhide nodded slightly.

"okay, just keep an eye on that." Ironhide said.

"why? what could it mean?" Will ask.

"a lot of things, the biggest thing being an issue with our bond since your not completely Cybertronian." Ironhide said. Will nods slightly.

"okay I will." Will said. Ironhide let him go back to Sam, but something still didn't feel right. he turned and headed for the medbay.

"I'm coming to the medbay." Ironhide said. Ratchet looked up when the doors opened, looking him over.

"you're fine. what do you want?" Ratchet ask.

"something is either wrong with Will or the bond." Ironhide said. Ratchet straightened and dropped his tools.

"what do you mean?" Ratchet ask, turning to lean back against the counter.

"the bond was fine for two weeks now it feels weird. I've been bonded before Ratchet. something isn't right." Ironhide said. Ratchet sighed.

"well he couldn't tell me what it felt like, so you tell me." Ratchet said, crossing his arms over his chest. so Ironhide explained it to him the best he could. Ratchet listened nodded slightly, making mental, notes before something seem to occur to him. "wait, waitwaitwait." Ratchet said, putting his servo's out to stop him. Ironhide stopped.

"what?" Ironhide ask.

"two weeks in and his spark started feeling weird in the bond?" Ratchet ask. Ironhide nodded slightly confused. Ratchet frowned. "open your spark chamber." Ratchet ordered. Ironhide raised an optic ridge, confused, but did as the medic said. Ratchet looked his spark over. he stared at his spark a moment, studying it, looking for anything wrong.

"um.. what are you looking for?" Ironhide ask.

"cracks or tears." Ratchet replied. "call Will down here and let me look at his." Ratchet said.

"William." Ironhide said over their private bond. Ironhide waited for him to answer.

"Ironhide?" Will ask sounding confused.

"come down to the medbay, now." Ironhide said. Ratchet was watching the silent exchange.

"I'm on my way, is something wrong?" Will ask.

"he's on his way." Ironhide said. "Ratchet wants to look at your spark for tears." Ironhide explained. Ironhide stepped back and shut his spark chamber, stepping aside. Will walked in.

"come here." Ratchet frowned. Will walked over. "open." Ratchet glared. Will opened his chest plates, watching Ratchet. the medic studied his spark as well, but stood up shaking his head. "you both seem fine. it could just be because he was human Ironhide. give it a few more weeks or so, okay?" Ratchet ask. "if it doesn't change you may need to redo the bond with is no big deal." Ratchet said. Ironhide nodded. Will shut his plates and looked at them.

"alright." Ironhide said. he turned and headed out, Will following behind him. Ratchet up loaded the images of both sparks to his computer, looking them over. he frowned slightly, not looking up at Wheeljack walked in.

"Ratchet?" Wheeljack ask walking over.

"hey Jack." Ratchet mumbled.

"whats that?" Wheeljack ask, looking with him.

"images of Ironhide and Williams sparks. Ironhide is insistant that something is wrong with this bond. it's different from his last." Ratchet replied. he looked over the images. Wheeljack studied them as well before paused.

"so.... which one is having the sparkling?" Wheeljack ask. Ratchet optics widened.

"what are you talking about?" Ratchet ask.

"c'mon Ratch, I know its been a long time since you've seen one but you should remember. you should still have pictures of mine." Wheeljack chuckled. Ratchet frowned and searched through his memory banks, looking for the file. he uploaded it to the computer, compairing it and the other two.

"well slag." Ratchet muttered, looking at them. he could just faintly see what Wheeljack was talking about. "Ironhide, get down here now!" Rachet commed him.

"so which one is it?" Wheeljack ask looking at the pictures. "whose spark is that?" Wheeljack ask looking at Ratchet.

"Wills." Ratchet mumbled. Wheeljack nodded slightly. Ironhide walked back in looking confused. he noticed the images.

"are those our sparks? whose the third on there?" Ironhide ask.

"yes and the third one doesn't matter." Ratchet said.

"it was mine, a couple thosand years ago before the war." Wheeljack said. Ironhide snickered.

"back when you two were still younglins? what do you still have that for?" Ironhide chuckled. Ratchet shot him a dirty look.

"well it's not like I just had it laying around." he huffed. Wheeljack rolled his optics.

"okay so what does Wheeljacks thousand year old spark images have to do with anything?" Ironhide ask.

"well you see that right there?" Ratchet ask, getting rid of the picture of Ironhdie's spark and zooming in on the two left. he pointed at something on Wheeljacks picture.

"yeah, I think." Ironhide mumbled.

"and you see this?" Ratchet ask pointing to the same thing but smaller and more faint on the other picture.

"kind of." Ironhide said.

"well if we had waited a little longer to take the picture it would look the same as 'Jacks." Ratchet mumbled. Ironhide looked confuse.

"wait so you know whats wrong then?" Ironhide ask.

"nothing is wrong persay," Ratchet frowned, getting rid of the picture of Wheeljacks spark. "that is Williams spark." Ratchet said.

"okay so something is up with his spark?" Ironhide ask. he'd never seen Ratchet draw something out like this, like he was trying to figure out how to say something. "spit it out Ratch." Ironhide said. Ratchet frowned and looked at Wheeljack, they appeared to be having a conversation over their bond. Ironhide waited. "well?" he ask.

"well..." Ratchet mumbled.

"he's with spark." Wheeljack blurted suddenly. he quickly covered his mouth.

"wow Jack just blurt it out while I'm trying to figure out the best way to say it." Ratchet glared.

"sorry." Wheeljack said. Ironhide stared at them, then started laughing. he stopped and glared at them.

"impossible. first off, as far as I know, he's not having any relations with anyone. also, no one's had a sparkling in thousands of years." Ironhide deadpanned.

"not entirely. while it's rare, sparklings could be concieved with just a spark bond." Ratchet expained. Ironhide glared and leaned closer to Ratchets face.

"frag off. Will isn't carrying. he can't, but if by some miracle he is, you can tell him." Ironhide hissed, storming out.

"Hide? whats up, you're radiating rage." Will ask.

"Ratchets a fragging slagger." Ironhide replied. he paused. "are you blocking your side of the bond Will?" Ironhide ask.

"no why?" Will ask walking over to him.

"I don't feel anything." Ironhide frowned. Will shrugged.

"I don't know how to block my bond." Will replied. Ironhide nodded slightly. "Jazz and I were gonna go practice with my energy blade thing. wanna come watch?" Will ask. Ironhide paused a second.

"actually I think it'd be better if you didn't." Ironhide said.

"huh?" Will ask. Ironhide couldn't tell him what Ratchet had said.

"uh, well if Ratchet comes up with something wrong with one of our sparks we should both be near the base. just in case." Ironhide said. Will nodded slightly.

"yeah I guess your right." Will said. Ironhide internally relaxed. if Ratchet was right, he wanted to keep Will as close as possible. he didn't believe the medic but if by some miracle he was right, he didn't want Will to be too far. "wanna go for a small drive?" Will ask. he looked hopeful, like he was getting restless, he probably was. it had been two weeks since they'd bonded and Will hadn't been allowed to leave. besides, Will couldn't be safer than with Ironhide.

"okay sure." Ironhide nodded. Will seemed to relax a bit. they headed outside and transformed. they drove together for a bit. they chatted quietly as they drove, Will could feel Ironhide scanning him.

"why do you keep scanning me?" Will ask. Ironhide could feel he was extremely annoyed.

"I am keeping an eye on your spark. Ratchet ask me to, besides I am bonded to you, I need to make sure you're fine." Ironhide said.

"okay." Will sighed. he paused and sighed. "Ratchet wants me back on base. says I'm not safe to be out." Will grumbled.

"I'll handle it." Ironhide replied. "fuck off Ratchet." Ironhide commed.

"he's safer on base." Ratchet hissed.

"he's safer with me." Ironhide argued. Will swerved suddenly. "Will?" Ironhide ask.

"I feel dizzy." Will mumbled. Ironhide stopped.

"come on. lets head back." Ironhide said. he turned and stopped, he attached himself to Wills front bumper. "just in case I need to tow you back." Ironhide added.

"okay." Will mumbled.

"Will, go into stasis. I'll get you back to the base." Ironhide assured. Will could feel the reassuring and comforting waves from their bond and had to admit, a stasis nap sounded good, besides Ironhide was already towing him. he allowed himself to go into stasis. Ironhide carefully towed him back to the base, parking with him out front, letting him sit in the sun light. he didn't wake him.

"Ironhide you slagging idiot! bring him back to the base!" Ratchet hissed.

"I swear to Primus if you wake him after I just towed him home, you will pay." Ironhide warned.

"you slagging idiot." Ratchet hissed, on a private com with Ironhide. "he's carrying you idiot! he doesn't need to leave base!" Ratchet growled.

"frag off." Ironhide hissed. he blocked the angry medic focusing on Will and the fact the more he focused the more he realized what he thought was somethign wrong with Wills spark, was actually the sparkling. how the fuck was he supposed to tell the mech? he had no idea, but he'd leave that to Ratchet. Will was still convinced he hated him and it wasn't true. Ironhide sighed and settled down to have his own stasis nap, his was a worry for another time.
