i was reading Jelsa fics and i loved this one:
https://www.wattpad.com/564283817-all-about-us-jelsa-one-shots-jelsa-18-he-is-hers

so i did something similar to itthe idea is pretty much the same but no words were copied from the oneshotand holy crap this is over 2450 words wow

all credits for the idea goes to the original fic writer :)

this very obvious fanfiction features Violet Parr, Penny Forrester, Peyton Parker (OC), Natalie Burnes (if you don't know who she is go back and check out her character profile) and mentions of Darling Charming, Chase Redford, Kim Possible, Wilbur Robinson, Hiro Hamada and Dash Parr

Oliver Haddock is How to Train Your Dragon's Nuffink Haddock. (i changed his name cuz 'Nuffink' sounds horrendously like 'Nothing' which is cruel ayy see what i did there about the horrendous)

Meridith DunBroch is my OC

yeah that just about sums it up

i hope you enjoy!!!

"I heard Oliver Haddock was the one who pranked Ms. Nolan last Friday," Violet said, readjusting her lavender headband. Peyton subtly raised an eyebrow, and paid closer attention.

"No way. Did you see her face? I swear, it was so hilarious but scary at the same time," Penny answered in her prominent Nashville accent. Peyton simply observed the conversation between both of them. Of course SFCHA's (San Fransokyo City Honors Academy's) resident prankster would be the talk of the town at Free Period today, and it also didn't help that the three girls were all resting under the 'Gossip Tree' that they had dubbed their usual spot. Peyton thanked God the grass wasn't as prickly as it was after the storm on Wednesday, and leaned down so that her elbows rested on the ground. As usual, Natalie wasn't here because she had booked the practice room again. Then again, she hated gossip and would rather spend her free time rehearsing her songs.

Peyton had met the infamous Oliver Haddock on the first day of school when she bumped into him and books went flying. Even though an angry teacher was chasing him, he stopped to pick up the papers and textbooks for her before dashing off hurriedly. And at that moment, Peyton realized that he was the one for her. She admired the boy's audacity to speak up and cause commotion inside the school, but also his compassion to stop and assist people no matter the situation he was in.

Bringing herself back to the conversation, Peyton shrugged. "Honestly, I don't think that it's a surprise. Haddock is always getting in trouble with the teachers one way or another here. I'd only be shocked if Chase Redford had played the prank. Y'know, his best friend, who's the straight A guy and a stickler for the rules?"

"Yeah, we know, Pey. He's the one that finally asked out Darling Charming, the only girl football player AND team captain last month." quipped Violet. "Seems like the word has gotten quicker to you than to us. How so?"

"Yeah, admit it, Peyton!" Penny smirked teasingly. "You have a fat crush on him."

"Wha...what? I don't know what you're talking about," Peyton was flustered and a blush was threatening to spread on her cheeks. "Just admit it," Violet encouraged. "Nat told us you were finding out stuff about him through 'sources'. Also, you wouldn't be the first girl to crush on Oliver. I think we all have at one point."

"Really?" Peyton questioned, incredulous. "THE Violet Parr who swore her heart to Wilbur Robinson and only Wilbur Robinson since the day she met him has a crush on Oliver Haddock?" Penny bit her lips to keep herself from bursting into laughter.

Violet, the girl in question, narrowed her eyes at Peyton. "Firstly, we all know that I hated Wilbur when we first met and still hate him to some degree–"

"But you're inseparable now!" Penny interjected.

"Do you see him around?"

"He's hiding behind that bush."

"Fine, we are inseparable." Violet rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I had a crush on Haddock for the first month of school around two years ago. Penny is still crushing on him to some degree–"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are. And Natalie is forever invincible and only has eyes for Hiro so she's out of the question. It's really not that big of a deal, Peyton."

"Okay, if you say so," answered Peyton. "It's uncomfortable talking about my crushes, especially since I'm new here and nobody really knows I exist except for our gang." She fidgeted with her web shooters beneath her white hoodie. "And I think Pax has probably gotten sick of me asking questions about Oliver, since he's in PE and Science with him. They're relatively good friends so that just adds on to the list of why I'm crushing so hard. He's so close, yet so far."

"Yeah, we've all been there before," said Penny. "And it isn't true that nobody notices you! Aside from our group, I mean." As if on cue, Tony Rydinger passed by the group resting underneath the tree. "Hey Peyton!" he waved. "Oh, hey Penny and Violet." Penny and Peyton waved back happily, and so did Violet, albeit a bit hesitant. She had a rocky history with the boy that she would rather not mention.

"Speaking of which, Tony notices you." Penny gave Peyton a knowing look. "Besides, Oliver pays almost no attention to anyone outside his circle of friends. Also since he's extremely devoted to his girlfriend–"

"He has a gIRLFRIEND?!" Peyton spluttered. "Nobody ever told me Oliver Haddock had a girlfriend!"

"Or maybe Paxton left that part out on purpose," Penny half-smiled. "Either the silly goat forgot about it or he was just too caring to hurt you with that information. You know how he is,"

It was Peyton's turn to give Penny a knowing look. "Do you like like my brother–"

"Don't change the subject, Pey. Moving on," Penny swallowed, brushing the topic aside, "we've seen Haddock's girlfriend before. She was here last year but she lives in Scotland. Her name's Meridith DunBroch, and apparently her family owns a lot of land in the north of her country. She's like a celebrity back home because she's an absolute prodigy! She excels in everything she does, from academics to sports–she is an amazing archer—to performing arts. Natalie's too stubborn to admit that Meridith's a better dancer than her. Personally, I believe they're on the same level, but who am I to judge? She's also the same age as us, so she's in our grade."

"I want to see a picture of her." Peyton spoke.

"Demanding much?" Violet retorted and whipped out her phone. "Since Your Spider-ness is so adamant, we must provide her with what she needs. I think I have her MyChapter page saved somewhere,"

"You follow her?" Peyton squeaked.

"Yeah, why? Even Nat does. But she only looks at her dancing videos. And she either compliments or criticizes her technique in the videos; there's no in-between for her. Penny's former agent kind of forced her to follow Meridith,"

"Let's not talk about that," Penny sighed, also scrolling through her phone. Her eyes lit up once she found the photo she was looking for. "Your Spider-ness, presenting...Meridith DunBroch!"

"One, stop calling me Your Spider-ness. I'm not royalty, and—damn." Peyton was at a loss for words. The Meridith girl was truly a beauty with fiery red curls that enhanced her round face and vibrant smile. Her cheeks were a rosy pink and her pale blue eyes twinkled in the lighting. She wore a dark green crop top and pants that accentuated her body, with her hand placed on her hip. Her other arm was placed around Oliver's shoulder, and she was smiling a sort of half-smile in the photo, like she was looking at something in the distance. Oliver's blond hair was messy and seemed like he had just rolled out of bed, but Peyton couldn't think of a better hairstyle for the boy. He wore a simple brown T-shirt with a gigantic dragon on it and khaki shorts. In the photo, he was glancing at Meridith admiringly with a warm smile on his face. Though the two wore colors that seemed to blend in with nature on Earth, they both looked like they were sent from heaven.

"Sheesh," was all that Violet could say. "You know, she almost made me question my sexuality."

"You don't need to question it now, we all know that your sexuality is Wilbur Robinson." Peyton shot back. "This girl is a freaking goddess! There has to be something wrong with her."

"Hate to break it to you, Your Spider-ness, but she does volunteer work after school to help with the soup kitchen on alternating days. The only thing remotely wrong with her is that she doesn't sing and I don't think anyone in our friend group does either, except Natalie, you, and me. Look, if Nat with the tragic backstory and amazing changed lifestyle can't top her, and if Holly of Corona can't match her appearance and compassion, then nobody can." Penny sighed.

"Penny's also sad 'cause Miss Super Talented Child Actress over here can't top Meridith," Violet smirked, while Penny swatted her friend away. "Shut your trap,"

"Wow. Beautiful, rich, smart, talented and a saint—that's basically what anyone could ask for in a perfect girlfriend. So, how did Haddock and DunBroch meet?" Peyton inquired.

Penny provided an explanation to that. "Details are vague, but I believe they met through a summer exchange program here in San Fransokyo. My sources say that Meridith's parents forced her to go there, but ultimately she enjoyed her time here. Oh, speaking of family, Meridith has three younger brothers who are triplets. People say that they're quite the troublemakers, but I don't know if they really are."

"Let's just hope they're not as troublesome as Hiro, Wilbur or Dash," Violet sighed.

"I second that, Violet. Furthermore, my sources also say that this happened a few summers ago, and they have had a long-distance relationship ever since. Look, here's a vlog she posted the last time she visited San Fransokyo!" Penny showed the girls her phone. Together, they watched a video clip of an excited Meridith DunBroch and her friends surprising Oliver with their arrival just two months ago, right before summer ended.

The look on Haddock's face was priceless: surprise at first, then it morphed into an expression of happiness mixed with pure, unadulterated love and adoration for his girlfriend. It was the kind of look that bashful Jamie would give Riley at her ice hockey games. It was the kind of look that Wilbur gave Violet when she wasn't paying attention to him. It was the kind of look that Tadashi and Honey Lemon gave each other, as if they didn't have a care about the world around them. It was the kind of look that Fred gave but Gogo never noticed, and if she did, it would be one of the rare times where her face would turn red. It was the kind of look that earned Hiro a punch on the shoulder whenever Natalie caught him like that, but it was also the look that the blushing girl couldn't stop talking about the next day. Someone who truly loved and cared about you would give you that look despite all your imperfections and flaws. Peyton hoped that someone would look at her that way, too. But all this girl could do for now was just hope.

"Hey," Penny patted her shoulder, bringing her back underneath the shade of the tree. "Don't look so down,"

"Yeah. Just because Haddock has a girlfriend doesn't mean it's the end of the world. There are plenty of other fish in the sea, and just because I had to learn that the hard way doesn't mean you also have to." Violet rubbed Peyton's back.

"Hey guys," said a cheery voice behind the Gossip Tree. "Nat, why is your voice an octave higher?" Violet questioned.

"Maybe it's because I just finished singing practice," Natalie remarked. "What's the sitch?"

"Stealing Kim's catchphrase now, are we?" Violet grinned. "We're talking about Oliver Haddock and how he unknowingly stole my heart for a month, then Penny's a while ago (he never even stood a chance against you,) and most recently Peyton's heart. I think all of us are also recovering from jealousy of Meridith DunBroch," Natalie nodded knowingly as Violet finished talking.

"Shut up, will you?" Peyton had been silent for the past minute, but now she was on the verge of tears as she lightly pushed Violet. "It still hurts to be unnoticed."

"No, you shut up," said Natalie with an air of finality. "Peyton, you're the smartest, most amazing person there is in the entire world. You have a great sense of humor and you're the best to be around because of that."

"You know how to lighten up the mood in any situation whatsoever, and will not hesitate to be the peacemaker when arguments happen," Violet offered.

"And don't get us started on the wonderful things you do when you're Arachnae," Penny lowered her voice a little bit and spoke into Peyton's ear. "We can't even count how many people you've saved all over the world because of your bravery and your willingness to help others. You're able to dive headfirst into any situation whenever someone is in need of assistance,"

"Pey, you're always the first one to take action in our new Avengers team. You don't wait for people to lead the way because you ARE the leader. And you're too selfless to ever think of any consequences that might happen when, I don't know, you rush into a burning building to save people." Natalie flinched at the statement, and cleared her throat. "Or when you save a ferry from sinking with your marvelous webs." Her voice returned to its normal pitch.

"I think it's a shame that Oliver doesn't know who you are or how much you mean to all of us," Penny finished. "Everyone has their flaws, and everyone has places where they absolutely shine. You, my friend, are the brightest star we could ever possibly find out there."

"Thanks," Peyton sniffed. She knew she'd never stand a chance against Meridith in terms of competing for Oliver's heart. Just like so many power couples she knew, they were like puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. At this point, it wasn't even a competition when Meridith had already won so long ago.

Peyton's feelings for Oliver never resurfaced after that day. Maybe it was because in the middle of the night, she realized that she may have only been crushing on the idea of being loved by someone, of someone giving her the same look as Haddock did to his perfect girlfriend Meridith. She realized she was content with her friends by her side for now, and didn't need that sort of relationship in her life just yet.

To be fair, Tony Rydinger asked her out the next day so she didn't really worry for long.
