Everyone was starting to stir awake as I put on my gear and ate some breakfast. Today was the day where we finally got to do some ass kicking. As I was eating some of the pancakes they served, Saeko sat down in front of me with a plate of two cinnamon rolls and apple juice.

Saeko:"Good morning, (Y/n)."

"Morning."

Saeko:"Today is the day when we finally show off our skills."

"Hell yeah! I'm getting ready to rock!"

She giggled and ate some of her food.

?:"Ren, I have a reliable source that says we're going to be put in teams of four."

We turned our heads to see two people next to us. One of them was a ginger haired girl eating 5 pancakes at a time like they were nothing.

And in front of her was a guy with black hair with a pink streak in it.

Ren:"Nora, how do you have a reliable source? I know the same people you do."

Nora:"That's what you think Ren. Ol' Nora here has connections."

Saeko:"Is that true? That we'll be put in teams of four?"

Nora:"Yep!"

Nora ate more of her pancakes as Ren just shrugged.

Ren:"Makes sense."

Nora:"But they're going to decide them today."

Saeko:"Oh. I guess they'll try and figure out who has synergy with one another."

Nora:"Ren and I are perfectly in sync! Right, Ren?"

Ren:"There's a syrup stain on you shirt. Bottom right."

He said that without looking up from his food and Nora giggled before licking her fingers and rubbing it off her shirt.

Saeko:"I can tell."

We finished our breakfast and went to our lockers. I put on my coat and holstered Ebony and Ivory. I strapped Alastor to my back and nodded.

"Ready."

Ruby:"You all set, (Y/n)?"

"Yeah. You?"

Ruby:"Mhm! No more awkward small talk. My baby is gonna do the talking!"

Yang:"Ruby, you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone. Teams are gonna have to be formed. You're gonna have to make a friend or two while you're here."

Ruby:"But what would I need strangers for, when I have you and (Y/n)?"

"What if we don't end up being on the same team?"

Ruby:"Oh..."

She pouted and Yang put a hand on her shoulder.

Yang:"Don't sweat it. You're a nice girl. Plenty of people would love to be friends with you."

Ruby:"Thanks Yang."

Yang:"But what if we actually did end up in the same team?"

Ruby:"Then we'd be the best team there is! Completely unstoppable!"

Yang:"Yeah! What do you think?"

"Well, I mean we do have good synergy but the fourth person of the team would have to keep up with us. But I might want to be a part of a different team."

They both gasped in shock.

Yang:"Why?!"

"That way it's fair for everyone else."

I watched as Jaune got flung to a locker with a spear in his shirt.

?:"Sorry!"

Jaune:"Where did I go wrong? My dad said all a woman looks for is confidence."

"Who did you even try to chat up?"

Jaune:"Weiss."

"Yikes. That's where you went wrong buddy."

An announcement was made as the first years were told to go to the cliff. I removed the spear for Jaune and looked at it.

?:"Sorry. That's mine."

Pyrrha:"Hello. I'm Pyrrha Nikos."

I handed her the spear back and she smiled at me.

"Nice to meet you, I'm (Y/n)."

We shook hands and I pat Jaune on the back before walking out to reach the cliff. We all stood on gray square panels as Ozpin told us what to do. The panels raised to show off springs as students were being launched through the air. Yang was beside me and winked at Ruby and lowered her shades. She blew me a kiss before being launched. It was my turn and I was launched through the air and let the wind flow through my hair.

"WOOHOO!"

No One's POV

Saeko was launched two students after (Y/n) and looked down below at the forest. Her eyes scanned the area before settling on a direction.

Saeko:"There."

She tilted her body to aim towards it and when she was reaching the ground, she drew her katana and dived down to a Grimm below. She pierced its back and flipped it over to land without hurting herself.

(Y/n) was reaching the ground and saw Beowolves waiting for him. He grabbed his pistols and smirked.

(Y/n):"Hope you brought your umbrellas boys! Because it's about to rain down hard!"

He spun in a circle while firing rapidly with his guns and descended safely. Once he hit the ground, the Grimm turned to dust.

(Y/n):"Now, where to go?"

He heard rustling in the bushes behind him. He got his guns ready and watched as Saeko stepped out from the bushes.

(Y/n):"Oh. Saeko. What's up?"

He put his guns away and walked to her.

Saeko:"Nothing much. I guess this makes us partners. Before we continue I think it's best we discuss something."

(Y/n):"What is it?"

Saeko:"Ever since I first saw you, I felt this strange tingle. You feel it too, don't you?"

(Y/n) paused for a minute and looked at her and did indeed feel a strange tingle.

(Y/n):"Yeah."

Saeko:"Good. Then it means you are indeed the one."

(Y/n):"The one?"

Saeko:"The one and only. You're what I've been searching for my entire life. And now here you stand before me. I just want to say..."

(Y/n):"Say what?"

Saeko:"I..."

She looked down and placed a hand on her chest and (Y/n)'s chest started pounding.

Saeko:"Want to kill you!"

She drew her katana and swung it, but it missed its mark as he flipped away.

(Y/n):"Whoa! Slow down there, babe!"

Saeko:"Quiet! Spawn of Sparda! I saw you on the bullhead to Beacon and my body was reacting differently than with other demons. I just knew you had to be the son of Sparda!"

(Y/n):"Look lady, you got me confused with someone else."

Saeko:"Don't try to weasel your way out of this one! I was born and raised to kill the likes of you. Even if he sealed off the Demon World, there are still demons roaming the planet without a care. He did an awful job."

(Y/n):"Hey! I'll have you know Sparda fought off the demon army with humans and Faunus alike. He did a damn good job. Sure a few bugs slipped through the cracks, but luckily no major monster was unleashed."

Saeko:"That's what you think but before me stands the remaining piece of the so-called Legendary Dark Knight."

(Y/n):"Fine. I admit, I am the son of Sparda."

Saeko:"It's a shame, really. I feel bad for your sisters but no doubt they're going to be safer without you around!"

She charged at him once again, but this time he blocked her attack with Alastor. Saeko grinned with a sinister look on her face as (Y/n) was still confused. He pushed her away and grabbed his guns and started to shoot at her. Saeko spun her katana around and deflected the bullets.

(Y/n):"HIYAH!"

He thrusted forward as she deflected the last bullet and hit her in the gut. She crashed through a tree but got up. She dusted herself off and ran right at him. She jumped into the air and brought down her weapon. (Y/n) dodged as she hit the ground, before teleporting in front of her. He swung his sword upward and hit her right in the chin and lifted both of them off the ground.

(Y/n):"Lift off!"

Saeko grew pissed and kicked him away. (Y/n) rolled along the ground and shot lightning at her. She was blasted away and he just sighed.

(Y/n):"Dad always told me I'd have to beat the ladies with a stick just to keep them away, but I never thought he meant literally."

He put away his sword and started to walk away from the scene. Saeko tumbled down a hill and crashed into a large rock. She groaned in pain as her aura fixed up her small cuts and bruises.

Saeko:"Damn you... (Y/n)!"

She got up with an extreme rage and began to steady her breathing.

Ozpin and Glynda switched between cameras and Glynda watched the two of them fighting.

Glynda:"Sir, Saeko doesn't seem to like (Y/n) at all."

Ozpin:"I was afraid of this."

Glynda:"What do you mean?"

Ozpin:"She knows of the other half of his family tree."

Glynda gasped and watched as (Y/n) blasted Saeko away.

Glynda:"If that's the case, then she's going to do everything she can to kill him!"

Ozpin:"Oh we'll see. (Y/n) may only be half-demon, but he's still Sparda's boy. It's going to have to take a lot to kill him."

Glynda:"I hope you're right."

Glynda was about to switch the cameras before she saw something flying straight at (Y/n).

(Y/n) was launched through several trees by an unknown force and rubbed his head.

(Y/n):"Who in the hell?"

He got up before shaking leaves out of his hair.

Saeko:"(Y/n), look at me."

He turned to see Saeko with a pair of angel wings and a new set of shining armor along with a new sword.

Saeko:"I am a half-angel. This here is my Valkyrie Form! It will no doubt be your demise!"

(Y/n):"Are you seriously pulling out your trump card for this? I mean, I feel honored but I feel like you're going a bit overboard."

Saeko:"Be quiet and perish!"

She flew at him and swung at him. He blocked her attack but the force was great enough to push him away. He slid backward and grit his teeth.

(Y/n): I hope Ruby and Yang are doing better than me right now!

He stabbed his sword into the ground and spun his pistols in his hands before taking aim at her. He started shooting rapidly at her but she slapped the bullets aside with her sword. He stopped and focused energy into his guns. Saeko charged straight at him and he smirked.

(Y/n):"Jackpot!"

He shot at her with a powerful charge shot and she screamed and flew back into a tree. He put his guns away and grabbed his sword from the ground.

(Y/n):"Damn, tuckered out already? I was barely getting pumped up."

He laughed before running off to find the temple. Saeko growled and stood up with anger.

Saeko:"I will not let a demon like you roam free!"

As (Y/n) ran, he cut down Grimm left and right. Saeko was flying overhead the forest and destroyed any Nevermore that came close to her.

Saeko:"DON'T YOU RUN FROM ME!"

(Y/n): Man this chick is fucking insane! But I always got a plan.

He quickly enacted his plan and looked over his shoulder to look at her. He flipped her off which caused her to grow angry. She threw her sword straight at him. It pierced his chest and caused him to cough up blood. He flew back and laid out on the ground.

Glynda gasped at the sight and watched in horror as Saeko laughed happily and kicked the lifeless body.

Saeko:"I expected Sparda's boy to put up more of a fight. Oh well, what's done is done."

She removed her sword and transformed back to her normal form before walking away. (Y/n)'s body laid there unmoving and before Glynda could say anything to Ozpin, he pointed back at her scroll.

She watched in horror as (Y/n) stood up without a care.

(Y/n):"Women..."

He began walking to the temple and once he reached the area, he saw most of the relics were taken. He went over and grabbed a red king piece and nodded. He left the area and came across a shattered bridge. He just groaned and did a few stretches before walking away. He turned around and started to run quickly towards the broken part of the bridge. He jumped off the edge and a red circle appeared beneath his feet as he jumped into the air again.

He pushed off the air and landed on the other half of the bridge without a hitch. He walked along it without much care and saw everyone gathered around.

Yang:"Hey (Y/n), where have you been?"

(Y/n):"Well, I had a bit of an argument with someone while trying to reach the temple."

He looked over and saw Saeko with an angry look on her face.

Saeko:"How are you still alive?!"

(Y/n):"Good question!"

He just walked past her and went to reach the teachers.

At the auditorium

Ozpin was announcing teams and their leaders.

Ozpin:"Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Lie Ren, and Pyrrha Nikos. You four shall form Team JNPR (juniper). Jaune Arc shall be your leader."

Everyone clapped for them and Pyrrha pat him a bit too hard on the back and made him fall over.

Ozpin:"Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long. You four shall form Team RWBY (ruby). Ruby Rose shall be your leader."

Everyone cheered as Yang hugged her happily and (Y/n) hollered like a baboon which made Ruby red from embarrassment.

Ozpin:"And now, I'd like to bring attention to two individuals that were supposed to form a team. Saeko Busujima and (Y/n) Rose."

His sisters looked at him concerned and he just shrugged. He stood with Ozpin as Saeko stood on the other side of the headmaster while staring daggers at (Y/n).

Ozpin:"These two met the requirements to be paired up, which was to meet each other's gaze. However, instead of teaming up and working together, they fought each other. Under normal circumstances they'd be kicked out, but their skills and drive prevent me from doing so."

This made Ruby and Yang extremely happy.

Ozpin:"You two will be a two person team and until you can settle your differences, you'll be in detention for the rest of the month. Everyone is dismissed to their dorms."

Everyone began pouring out as Ozpin glanced at the devil and angel before walking off.

Saeko:"Let's just pretend to get along. I can't have my record being ruined by this."

(Y/n):"To be fair, you made the first move on me."

Saeko:"Shut up. I'm going to the dorm. If you try to sneak a peek while I shower, I will cut you down to size."

(Y/n):"In your wildest dreams babe."

She rolled her eyes and walked out the auditorium as (Y/n) stretched and looked out the window.

(Y/n): Whether I make allies or enemies doesn't matter to me. I'll kick demon and Grimm ass like nothing!

A/n: Sorry about the delay I was busy this week covering someone's shift at work. And also playing through DMC4 and 5. Holy hell is 5 so damn good. Anyway, I will mention this now that I will take creative liberty with the main story of RWBY to better fit with Sparda, his legacy, and demons and angels alike.
