After helping Weiss out, Team JNPR invited Team RWBY and me to a little party. It was us just laughing and joking. We even took turns playing some fighting game called Hyper Road Warrior Boost EX 2. Which was completely different from Road Warrior EX 2. I also told Team JNPR that I was part demon since they saw my body bleed and heal on its own. They were shocked at first, but still accepted me as myself.

A few days after that, we were all given a two week break to relax before the new semester started up. Well for everyone else at least, my team was called up to Ozpin's office.

Ozpin:"Good to see you three."

Saeko:"Likewise."

Lady:"What's up?"

Ozpin:"I have a mission for (Y/n), but this will be good team practice for all three of you."

Saeko:"Hmph."

"Why was it a mission for me?"

Ozpin:"We received some reports of some demons lurking around a cavern near the border of the kingdom."

Saeko perked up at the word demon. Lady looked more interested in it as well.

"Gotcha. Did any of them start killing?"

Ozpin:"Fortunately not. They merely hang around the cavern and kill any Grimm that dare approach. It seems as though they are guarding something."

He took a sip from his mug and I rubbed my chin.

"Sounds interesting. I'm down to go."

Ozpin:"Wonderful. And you two?"

Lady:"Sure thing. I had nothing planned for vacation so this should relieve my boredom."

She smiled at me and I smiled back as we looked at Saeko.

Saeko:"I'll go. It is my duty to eliminate any and all demons."

"Don't try and steal my bit."

Saeko:"Whatever."

Ozpin:"Perfect. I'll have a bullhead ready for you in a 30 minutes."

We nodded and left his office. Saeko walked ahead of us to the dorm as Lady and I just went at a slow pace.

Lady:"I feel like it's been a while since we got to go out."

"Tell me about it. That whole ordeal with the Nightmare Grimm felt like it dragged on a bit. But all's well that ends well right?"

Lady:"Mhm. What did you have planned for vacation?"

"Nothing. I'm sure Ruby and Yang wanted me to hang out with them for most of it. Speaking of which, I better let them know I'm gonna be gone."

Lady:"Alright. I'm going to go ahead and pack."

She walked off from me as I went in the direction of Ruby's dorm. I knocked on their door and Blake was the one to open it.

Blake:"Hey (Y/n)."

"Sup Blake?"

Blake:"Nothing much. Just doing some reading."

"The usual eh?"

Blake:"Heh. Yeah. Want to come in?"

"Nah. I just need to let Ruby and Yang know something."

As I said that, Ruby slipped under Blake's arm as Yang stood at Blake's side.

RY:"Yes?"

"Me, Lady, and Saeko are getting sent out on a mission."

Ruby:"But it's vacation! You should be relaxing."

Yang:"Yeah and Yanging out with me."

Ruby and Blake groaned and face palmed at her joke.

"Where's my gun?"

Yang:"Hey! Easy there!"

"Not for you. For me. I want to take my mind off that horrible joke."

She stuck her tongue out at me and we shared a laugh.

"Sorry Ruby, but dealing with demons has to come first. If I don't kill them then other people won't be able to enjoy their own vacations. Same thing goes for huntsmen. It could be your day off, but something major may come up and you'll need to be ready to face it head on."

Yang:"Those are some wise words."

"Shut up. Anyways, I'll be leaving in about an hour. I'll be back when I'm back."

Ruby:"Okay..."

She pouted softly and hugged me and I hugged back to make her feel better. Yang joined in the hug and I patted her back.

Ruby:"Just be safe out there!"

"Ha! I can't promise that!"

Yang:"You should take some pictures of your mission. It would be cool to see what it was like."

"You got it. See you Blake."

Blake:"Bye. And again, thank you for helping me and Weiss out."

"Hey, anytime. Speaking of which, where is the Ice Queen?"

Blake:"She walked out earlier this morning because she had something in her mind that was bugging her."

"I swear if it's another Grimm..."

Yang:"That wasn't it. Her body showed no signs of any thorny vines."

"Good. Because if it happened again, then I'll go in there solo and stomp the Grimm flat."

Ruby:"Heck yeah!"

Blake:"She said she was contemplating her thoughts on some boy."

"Ah. So it's nothing then. Peace."

I walked off as they said bye to me one last time.

Yang:"A boy you said?"

Blake:"Mhm."

Ruby:"Who could it be?"

I began making my way back to my dorm when I accidentally bumped into Weiss.

"Oh, hey Weiss."

She looked at me and her cheeks went red.

Weiss:"(Y/n), wh-what are you u-up to?"

She covered her mouth and looked away.

"Just going to pack up for a mission."

Weiss:"Wait, mission?"

"Yep. Some demons need some slaying. And I'm the main man to do it."

Weiss:"Be careful out there."

"Heh. Don't worry about me, Weiss. I'm one tough son of a respectful woman."

Weiss:"Heh. And a cocky one at that."

"You betcha!"

She only giggled and stared at me for while before gulping.

Weiss:"(Y/n) I..."

She tried to say something, but her scroll buzzed. She huffed in annoyance and looked at it.

"Well, catch you on the flip side."

I walked away as she stretched her arm out, but let out a sad sigh and walked off. Once I got to my dorm, I began packing my essentials and some snacks for the trip.

Lady was counting her bullets and Saeko was polishing her katana. Lady then began putting her bullets in different pouches and brought along a revolver that held fire dust bullets.

Lady:"I'm all set."

Saeko:"Same here."

"Almost done."

I went to the bathroom to grab my toothbrush and my paste. I took a look at myself in the mirror and saw Mom's amulet hanging on my neck. I held it tightly and nodded before exiting.

"Alright! I'm ready!"

They nodded and we just waited around for a bit before heading to the courtyard. Our bullhead was there and Ozpin as well.

Ozpin:"This is your first mission as a team. Do me proud."

Saeko:"Yes sir."

Lady:"Right."

He then looked at me.

Ozpin:"(Y/n), you're the leader so you should know when to call it quits. You may have a high pain tolerance and an immense drive to fight, but you need to know that your teammates may not be able to completely keep up with you."

I looked back at them and Saeko merely scoffed and Lady nodded.

"Yes sir, I understand."

Ozpin:"Wonderful. The trip should be a 2 hour flight. So take the time to ease your nerves before you embark on this mission."

We nodded as he shook our hands before we entered the bullhead. Saeko sat away from us and began reading a book. Lady put in some earbuds and began listening to music and closed her eyes. I decided to do the same, but I kept myself awake.

2 Hours Later

The bullhead descended and landed in an open field.

Pilot:"Alright, this is pretty close to your destination. I'll be at the city checkpoint. Be sure to call as soon as you're done."

"Got it. Thanks man."

He nodded and we hopped out as he took off.

Saeko:"I can feel their presence. And there's a lot."

"Yeah. And there's a strong one with all the small fries."

Lady:"You think that one might be controlling them?"

"Probably. Let's go ahead and find out for ourselves."

We began walking north and over some hills to see a horde of demons hanging around a cavern.

Lady:"Ugh, I smell them from here."

Saeko:"Their stench is absolutely putrid."

"Let's hurry and take them out then."

Lady:"Good thinking."

We all ran at the same time and the demons took notice. They screeched at us as a war cry before I shot one in the head. Blood flew into the air as the remaining demons began screeching in fear and trying to run. Lady shot them in their legs as Saeko swiftly sliced through their sinister skulls. Their bodies burst into nothingness and we continued onward.

The cave had no artificial lights inside like what you would see in a mineshaft, but it had this strange and ominous red glow all around it.

Lady:"It's quiet. Too quiet."

"Yeah, but they're close. I can feel it."

I reached behind my back and yanked something off. It happened to be a little imp that tried to pry itself from my hand. I said nothing and shot it through its face with Ebony. After my gunshot went off, the ground beneath our feet burst into pieces as some demons showed up.

These demons were similar to lamias, but their lower half was that of a worm. And their eyes were a milky white. A giant red seal appeared ahead of us and behind us as well. Lady shot at it, but the bullets failed to make a dent and fell to the floor.

"Looks like we got to kill these bastards to continue moving."

Lady:"Sounds like a video game."

"I know! Cool, right?"

Saeko:"It's bothersome."

"You're no fun."

There was 9 of the demons so we each took on 3. I lunged right at one and stabbed it through its chest. It howled in pain before I lifted both of us into the air.

"Look out below!"

I then swung my sword down with the demon still on it and made it crash into the pair below. They were all writing on the floor in pain before one burrowed underground. I yanked my sword out and the demon turned to nothingness. The last of the trio got up and screeched.

"Ooh, you got me quaking in my boots."

I suddenly felt Alastor get taken from my hand and I turned around to see the demon that burrowed underground holding it with its tail. It cackled at me and I shook my head. I snapped my fingers and electricity shot out from the blade and shocked the demon all over. The one behind me tried to attack, but I shot it several times in the head without looking.

I got Alastor back and flicked the demon in the face and watched it die.

Saeko:"The seals are disappearing."

We watched as the circles burst into pieces like glass and we could continue walking forward. We continued walking forward since it was the only way we could go. There were little imps along the way that tried to jump us, but their numbers still weren't enough.

Saeko:"A lot of them are gathered further ahead."

?: (Y/n)...

"Huh?"

Saeko:"I said they're up ahead."

"No not you. I heard someone call my name."

Lady:"We didn't hear anything."

?: (Y/n)... Please accept this...

"Accept what?"

Saeko:"Tch, must be some demon trying to get into your head!"

Lady:"I doubt even a demon would want to enter that dude's mind."

"Who are you? What do you want me to accept?"

?: A gift... Look to your left.

I was hesitant, but looked to my left and only saw the cave wall. I narrowed my eyes and saw it ripple.

"No way!"

Lady:"What?"

"Secret entrance."

Saeko:"It could lead to a trap."

"Then I'll go in myself."

Lady:"Alright. If you start screaming we'll come running."

I grabbed my guns and walked through the wall and found myself in an entirely different room. The path I walked one was made of stone and narrow. One wrong move and I could fall down into the dark abyss. Up ahead, there was a circular section of the path. I made it to the center and looked around.

?: (Y/n)... You have grown... Take this. I know you'll do good with it...

I heard the voice in my head and suddenly felt the ground shake. I jumped back as something shot up and spun around. I looked at it confused before it crashed back down.

"A sword?"

I walked over and reached out for it, but I hesitated.

?: (Y/n)... This is just one of my swords... The sword bearing my name is in a different kingdom... As for the Yamato...

"Wait! Sparda?!"

Sparda: Yes... Took you long enough, my son... I'm sorry for not being able to protect you and your mother...

"Where are you?!"

Sparda: I am but a memory now. (Y/n), there are dangers arising and you are the only one who can stop them. You need power.

I grabbed the hilt of the sword and spun it around. It felt so...natural. Like it really belonged to me.

With Saeko

Saeko:"Ugh, that idiot is taking forever."

Lady:"Something might've happened to him."

Saeko:"Unfortunately not. He's still alive. Let's just go ahead and finish this mission."

Lady:"You need to relax."

Saeko:"Why should I?"

Lady:"Because you're acting like a total bitch. (Y/n) may be annoying at times, but he's literally done nothing wrong."

Saeko:"Maybe not to you, but all demons must be purged. I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand."

Lady:"Oh I do! My father he-"

She stopped herself midway and covered her mouth. Saeko took a look at her face and saw the pained look on it.

Saeko:"Was he killed by them?"

Lady:"No. He became one and killed my mother. I've been on the hunt for him."

Saeko:"Then what are doing in Beacon?"

Lady:"I needed to get stronger. And it wouldn't hurt to have a few friends..."

Saeko:"I'm...sorry. It was insensitive of me to assume you didn't understand the pain of losing someone to a demon. For me it was my own father. After that I took up his katana that he used as a huntsman and killed any demons in my path. There, I was found and taken in by the church."

She sighed and looked down at the katana in her hand.

Saeko:"And I've tried to look past my anger towards demons so I can tolerate (Y/n), but I just can't."

Lady:"At least you're tr-"

Something suddenly yanked her by the leg and she gasped.

Saeko:"Lady!"

A series of arms popped out from beneath her and she did a backflip to get away from them.

Saeko:"Filthy demons!"

She unsheathed her katana and charged at them. The hands went back underground and the ground collapsed.

Saeko:"What?!"

She began falling down and was nearing the bottom, but something caught her and set Saeko down gently. She looked to see it was a magical disembodied hand.

It set her down next to Lady who was rubbing her arm.

Lady:"Where the hell are we?"

?:"You're intruding on some important business."

They flinched and immediately got up and readied their weapons. They were in a circular room with shelves full of jars containing different body parts. Before them stood a powerful demon.

Saeko:"A demon!"

?:"Correct. You two seem unfazed by me. Although, you two did eliminate some of my minions so I can understand. You two will be the perfect specimens."

Lady:"Like hell we will!"

?:"I'm not asking. I'm demanding!"

He shot forth a green fireball that they narrowly avoided.

Saeko:"I'll end this quickly!"

She calmed her breathing and a burst of light shot from her body and she gained armor and a set of beautiful white wings.

?:"An angel? Hmm... It seems I may have my work cut out for me."

Saeko:"Damn right you will!"

?:"Then come at me!"

She yelled out and flew at the demon who shot a stream of fire from his hands that she blocked with her sword. She knocked it aside and lunged at the demon. He used one arm to catch the blade and used another to slam a fireball into her gut. She flew up and crashed into the ceiling. Lady aimed her guns at the demon and started shooting, but he held up his hands and the bullets just bounced off.

?:"I expected more from you."

With (Y/n)

Sparda: My son, your friends need you! Hurry to their aid.

"Wait, where are the other two swords?!"

Sparda: A man is in possession of the Yamato currently. The sword bearing my name is hidden in a tomb in Vacuo. And son, that sword you currently hold is called Rebellion. And know that in time you need to learn to pull the trigger to achieve a more powerful state. A state in which you become a devil. It will aid you in the toughest of fights.

I nodded and ran out the hidden entrance to see both Saeko and Lady were gone. I jumped down the large hole and at the bottom I saw a demon. I landed on its shoulders and broke its arms on impact.

Lady:"(Y/n)!"

I looked over to see Lady reloading and then I saw Saeko fighting a demon with four arms. She was slapped aside and crashed into me.

Saeko:"(Y/n)?"

She got off me and the demon stared us down.

?:"You... You're the son of the legendary Sparda. A pleasure to meet you."

"I bet it is."

Kalgorr:"I am the demon known as Kalgorr. I fought alongside your father before he betrayed us. But to see his son before me must be destiny! Your blood will be perfect!"

"For what? A cocktail?"

Kalgorr:"No. You see, I'm busy grinding up demon blood to create a new type of dust that the humans use."

Lady:"A new type of dust?"

Kalgorr:"Yes. This dust will be used to create a new army for the Prince of Darkness. I will inject it into as many humans as possible. There are so many warriors that would be perfect! But for you, I guess you call them huntsmen. Unfortunately the process is slow since these puny demons have weak blood and not enough to crystallize. But you, you will be the perfect blood bank!"

"I'll pass. Let's go!"

Saeko nodded and flew at him as I spun Rebellion in my hands before dashing at Kalgorr. He caught our weapons and started punching us repeatedly before throwing us to some shelves. He ran up to Lady and punched her in the ribs. Her aura took most of the damage, but she was knocked into a wall that damaged her aura even more.

Saeko:"I'll kill you!"

She roared with rage and flew at him again and aimed for his neck. He raised his hands and a wall of fire erupted that hurt her. He grabbed her by the throat and began pulling her arms apart.

Kalgorr:"Say goodnight, pitiful angel."

I got up and jumped at the demon. I brought down Rebellion onto his arm and he grunted in pain. He let go of Saeko and shoved me away into a wall. I crashed into the wall and groaned in pain.

Kalgorr:"Honestly, you're the most troublesome of the lot. I shall deal with you first."

He dislodged Rebellion from his arm and threw directly at my chest. I coughed up blood as the sword kept me pinned to the wall. He laughed before punching me several times across the face.

Kalgorr:"Pathetic! Where's your drive?! Where's your rage?! Show me the power of Sparda!"

He kept attacking relentlessly before scoffing. My body was going limp as I watched him grab Lady by her leg and slammed her against Saeko. They both yelped in pain as I watched helplessly.

Kalgorr:"This fire will burn you to ash, but with my experimental dust you will be born anew. As mindless demons, but still being able to thrive once again!"

He raised all four arms into the air and began creating a large fireball.

No One's POV

Everything seemed to be going awful for the trio, Lady and Saeko were facing death head on as (Y/n) was pinned against the wall unable to move. He watched the green fire flickering and it was all he could focus one. All he could see. His heart began picking up its pace as his breathing became ragged. The fire... The fire took away his mother... And soon, it would take away his teammates.

(Y/n):"LEAVE THEM ALONE!"

(Y/n)'s voice shifted and so did his body as it burst with a white light that extinguished the flames of Kalgorr.

He looked stunned at what he saw before him. (Y/n) removed Rebellion from his chest and spun it in his hand before flying at Kalgorr.

(Y/n) swung downward and Kalgorr tried to block, but his arm was cut off completely.

Kalgorr:"Well now, I may actually have to put forth some effort in this fight."

(Y/n):"Just try and take my blood now, Kalgorr."

Kalgorr felt a shiver run down his spine which made him confused. He has never felt something like that before. He picked up his arm and reattached it. He shot a spew of flames at (Y/n), but he spun his sword and deflected the flames.

He lunged at the four armed demon and stabbed him right through his right pec. Kalgorr coughed up green blood before getting decked across the face by (Y/n).

(Y/n):"It's over!"

He yanked out his weapon with force and began to deliver a series of rapid slashes.

Kalgorr's body began to fall apart into pieces as he had one final thought.

Kalgorr: Death at the hands of Sparda's heir... An acceptable death... But my Lord will end him personally...

Kalgorr dispersed into small green embers before (Y/n) reverted back to his human form. He fell onto one knee and started panting.

(Y/n):"Guess that's the best I can do right now."

Lady and Saeko looked over at him and he just laughed to himself.

(Y/n):"Guess I really am a demon then huh, Saeko?"

She walked over while clutching her arm before getting down to his level and hugging him. This caught him by surprise as she held tightly onto him.

Saeko:"Thank you... You're more than a demon. I see that now."

Lady:"Speaking of which... What was that?"

(Y/n):"My..."

He tried to describe what it was, but was at a loss for words. That was until his father's words rang throughout his head.

(Y/n):"Call it my... Devil Trigger."

Lady:"Huh. Not a bad name. Thanks for the save."

(Y/n):"No problem."

Saeko let go of him before helping him up.

(Y/n):"So we're good? Like, officially?"

Saeko:"Yes. Officially."

Lady:"Wonderful. Now, what next?"

(Y/n):"That dust he mentioned. We should take it back to Ozpin. If this stuff is found by some dumb kid or something then trouble is gonna start brewing."

Saeko:"Good idea."

They began looking around before Lady found a black chest and opened it. She found six small vials containing red dust that was constantly glowing.

(Y/n):"Heh. Mission complete!"

Lady:"Yep."

Saeko:"Mission complete."

The three shared a fist bump together and smiled at each other.
