"Hoo hoo baby! It's the weekend!"

Lady:"About time too. I was hoping to get some shopping done."

"Lame."

Lady:"Oh? And what do you plan on doing?"

"I'm entering in a gaming tournament."

Lady:"What's the prize?"

"Dunno. I heard there was gonna be free pizza and I signed up. No further thoughts necessary."

Lady:"Oh my God..."

"Those dorks won't know what hit them."

Lady:"You're a dork."

"Yeah, but I make it look good!"

I spun around with my jacket on and snapped my fingers at her.

Lady:"Saeko? Wanna hang?"

Saeko:"Can't. I'm visiting the church."

"Lame."

Saeko:"I wouldn't expect you to understand."

"You're right. The minute I walk in a church, they'll throw Holy Water at me."

Lady:"Does it actually hurt?"

"No because I'm half human, but it is annoying to dry myself up afterwards. For other demons and monsters, decimates them like completely. You should try it."

Lady:"Noted."

We left the dorm and I began walking down the halls before heading out. I neared the doors and heard a voice call out to me. I turned and saw Coco walking towards me.

Coco:"(Y/n)! Stop."

I looked at her and she smiled and I noticed she was dragging someone else behind her.

"Yeah?"

Coco:"My teammate here has something to say to you."

She stepped out the way and before me stood the rabbit Faunus girl.

"Oh! I remember you!"

Velvet:"I'm Velvet Scarlatina. Thank you again for helping me out a few days ago."

"No problem. Sorry no one else helped."

Coco:"I usually stick with her or one of my other teammates do, but we had things to do. And the one day we were gone, someone decided to mess with her."

Velvet:"I'm really sorry for troubling you guys."

Coco:"Nope. Don't apologize. You're a cute little bunny that only shows her fangs against Grimm! You should see her in action."

Velvet went red and smiled.

"Heh, you should see me go crazy on Grimm."

Coco:"Hopefully we will soon."

Velvet:"Any plans for today?"

"Just entering a gaming tournament later. After that I might just hang around and look at some of the Vytal Festival decorations."

Coco:"And your sisters?"

"They went on ahead to check out the sights. And I think Weiss wanted to scope out the competition."

Coco:"Speaking of which, doesn't your team only have three members?"

"Yeah."

Velvet:"I don't think you can compete in the tournament without a full team."

"Well it's not like any of us have any synergy to begin with. Both of the girls like stabbing and shooting me."

Velvet:"That's not very kind of them. You're a nice person."

"Aww shucks Velvet, you're gonna make me blush."

I only laughed as Velvet stiffened up and her cheeks went red. Coco saw this and smirked.

"Anyway ladies, I'm off now. Catch you on the flip side."

Coco:"See ya, hot stuff."

Velvet:"Bye!"

Elsewhere

A ginger haired man was lighting up a cigar and took a puff from it. He let out a relaxed sigh and looked over to his partner. A short girl with pink and brown hair with a white streak on the pink side. The man was Roman Torchwick, a criminal (Y/n) and Ruby fought a few months ago.

Roman:"Alright, so here's the plan for tomorrow night. I'm going to meet up with some of the Faunus and get them ready for a large shipment over at the port."

The short girl simply nodded along before he dismissed her. She began walking around a furnished hideout that was decorated with wanted posters of Roman, Christmas lights, road and traffic signs, and posters. She walked out after opening a steel door and shutting it behind her.

It was a bright day outside and she began going on a stroll. Her path was set and clear. She was heading towards her favorite ice cream parlor.  She walked in and the cashier greeted her. There was one person in front of her currently, and it was none other than (Y/n). She eyed him up and down and titled her head.

Roman mentioned him and Ruby before, but didn't think she'd meet him in this way.

Employee:"What can I get for you sir?"

(Y/n):"Strawberry sundae, for here."

Employee:"Sure thing."

(Y/n) walked along the counter and Neo was able to get a good look at his face.

Neo: Ooh, he's quite the hunk.

She smiled to herself and then held up her scroll which showed she already had an order placed. (Y/n) got his sundae and sat down in a booth. Neo herself got a small glass of neapoliton ice cream and decided to sit across from (Y/n).

(Y/n):"Is there something I can help you with?"

Neo shrugged and took a bite out of her ice cream.

(Y/n):"Alright."

He shrugged as well and began eating his own ice cream.

They ate in silence with Neo stealing glances at (Y/n).

(Y/n):"Take a picture, it'll last longer."

Neo flinched at the sudden sound of his voice and just looked at him.

(Y/n):"I'm serious. Take a picture."

She smirked and did just that. This made him laugh softly and he finished his sundae. He yanked her scroll and she reached out for it. He handed it back to her shortly after he typed something in and left. Neo looked down and saw that he entered his number in her scroll.

Neo: Smooth. Hee hee. Can't wait to see him again. Maybe I can bring over to the dark side.

Ruby POV

We began chasing after the monkey Faunus when Weiss crashed into someone. It was girl with short ginger hair and green eyes. They both got up and she smiled at us.

Penny:"My name is Penny. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Very nice to meet you, friend."

Weiss:"If we don't hurry, the vagabond will get away."

Penny:"What did you call me?"

Blake:"She wasn't talking about you."

Penny:"No. You."

She looked over in my direction before getting super close to me.

Penny:"Did you just call me friend?"

"Uh, yeah."

Penny:"Grin! How touching! I have made a friend! I'm so glad I came to Vale!"

Weiss:"What is with her?"

Yang:"Sorry, but we're in a hurry."

Penny:"Alright. Be well."

We began walking away from her as Weiss kept making rude remarks about the Faunus.

Weiss:"If we let him go, he'll surely join the White Fang."

Blake:"That's wrong! This is why you're so ignorant!"

Weiss then glared at Blake as Yang and I backed up a bit.

Weiss:"What did you just say to me?"

Blake:"You're being prejudiced. You treat all Faunus like criminals. If he's a scoundrel, then so are you."

Weiss:"It's an organization of pure evil that hates humanity! How can you defend them?"

Blake:"There's no such thing as pure evil! People like you drove the Faunus into a corner!"

"Please don't fight, you two."

I tried to get between them, but Weiss quickly shot a glare my way before responding to Blake.

Weiss:"Have you attended any of the funerals of the people they killed? Do you know the pain of the families whose loved ones were killed just for being company board members? Do you have any idea how much they've made me suffer?"

Blake:"WELL MAYBE WE WERE JUST TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND!"

This caused us all to gasp as Blake's eyes darted between us before she ran away.

Weiss:"We?"

"Blake! Where are you going?!"

My voice fell on deaf ears as she ran farther and farther away from us.

Later that night/Your POV

I yawned and got back to Beacon after spending a nice day relaxing and kicking ass at the gaming tournament. As I began walking to enter the building, I saw Weiss sitting alone on a bench. She was staring blankly at the water fountain and I approached her.

"You good?"

Weiss:"Hardly... Blake was a Faunus and a White Fang member at that."

"And?"

Weiss:"And? And?! And she's a criminal! But your sisters and blindly defending her!"

"And you're blindly judging her."

Weiss:"I am not! All of them are a bunch of low lives!"

"No wonder Blake ran away."

Weiss:"And what does that mean?"

"You're lumping her in with the bad side of the White Fang."

Weiss:"That's the only side!"

"I guess those peaceful protests years ago meant nothing then? The ones where they simply stood out on the street with signs? The ones where they simply stood around and chanted out for equality? The ones where they got pelted with rocks for simply speaking up against the cruel acts done upon them? Yeah, let's just ignore those then."

Weiss:"I-"

"Weiss, you already know what I'm about. When I stood up to Cardin and saved that Faunus girl, remember that? And how I called everyone out for sitting on their asses."

Weiss:"I...remember that..."

"You judge from a distance and Cardin outright harasses them. People like you are the reason why the White Fang was formed in the first place. They only wanted to be treated as equals. Not inferior nor superior. But because they're different they get treated with scorn and malice."

Weiss remained silent and I shook my head.

"Could you imagine what it would be like to have your family taken away from you for what runs in your veins? Can you imagine the amount of pain and struggle thrown your way because of it? Imagine this Weiss, you are but a child and a group of assholes raid your home and burn it down to the ground and kill your family before your eyes. Or how about being constantly stabbed, shot, burned, and tortured for merely existing?!"

Weiss flinched at the sudden volume of my voice and I had to breathe to calm down. I fixed my hair and began walking away to leave Weiss to think about everything.

The next day

I began walking around Vale to look for Blake, but no luck. However, anywhere I went there were more members of Saeko's church that hung around. I think they were waiting for me to do something unholy or demonic so they can try and jump my ass. Emphasis on try.

I stopped to get me a hotdog when the sun finally set. I heard a loud boom in the distance and ran towards it. I found myself at a port with a bullhead hovering in the air with a Schnee freighter attached to it. Gunshots were heard and I looked to see Blake and some monkey Faunus fighting Roman. He handled them with ease before making them break away from him.

Roman:"Man, you two really got some spunk. How about I cut you both a deal? Join the rest of your animal friends and help me hijack all this dust! Sounds like a good deal eh?"

I smirked and walked in on their conversation.

"Ooh. Can I get in on that?"

Blake:"(Y/n)?!"

?:"You know him?"

Roman:"Well if it isn't Big Red? Can't believe we get to see each other again."

"I know right?! I was waiting for this day to come!"

??:"So you've been conspiring with Roman Torchwick! You truly are a demon!"

We turned and saw cloaked figures with weapons at the ready.

Roman:"Ah great! More guests! Wish I bought the party size chips."

Blake:"Demon?"

Roman snapped his fingers and White Fang grunts fell from a bullhead. Blake and the monkey Faunus got next to me with their own weapons ready.

"Okay, you guys take care of the robed idiots and the White Fang. I'll deal with Roman. Also, good to see you again Blake."

Blake:"(Y/n), I-"

"And break!"

The new guy nodded and ran at one of the church members and whacked him upside the head with his staff. I dashed at Roman and flipped over some grunts that tried to protect him. I kicked him across the cheek and made him stumble backwards.

Roman:"Alright you cocky son of a bitch! I've been waiting for this!"

I grabbed Alastor and we began blocking attacks from each other.

Roman:"You know, an associate of mine is scared of you for some reason."

"Really now?"

I teleported behind him and cut him across his back. His aura flickered and he turned around and fired a bullet at me. I deflected it and swung at him again.

Roman:"Yeah, but you're just some punk ass wannabe huntsman!"

I grabbed a hold of his cane and pulled it towards me. I hit him in the nose with the butt of my sword and he grunted.

"If only that were the case."

?:"Dude! Behind you!"

I looked over my shoulder and saw a bullhead aiming its guns at me. I kicked Roman away before picking up a sword off the ground that belonged to one of the grunts. The guns spun and fired bullets at me. I sliced through the first one and began spinning my swords around to deflect the bullets.

And it was working...for a while. I deflected a majority of the bullets, but plenty of them either grazed me or outright went through my arms and shoulders. I was mainly keeping my junk protected. Not trying to see if I could recover from something like that. Eventually, the bullhead stopped firing and I smirked.

"That was fun. But imagine if I actually tried to deflect them all."

Roman:"How the hell are you still standing?! Your aura wasn't even activated!"

Man:"That damn demon! Even a turrent couldn't take you down. But you will die soon enough!"

Roman:"What do you know about him that you would like to share with the class?!"

Man:"He is the son of the legendary Dark Knight Sparda!"

?:"Of who?"

Blake:"Wait?! THE Sparda?!"

"Well that cat's out of the bag."

Roman:"I think I've heard that somewhere before..."

I didn't give him time to think about it as I switched to Ebony and Ivory and blasted him in the chest several times. He flew back and crashed into the side of a freighter. He shook his head and fired a fire dust bullet at me, but missed by a mile since a loud explosion was heard above us.

I saw the remainder of a green beam as it tore apart two bullheads.

Roman:"Ah! I just stole those!"

I ran up to him and kneed him in the gut before pistol whipping him across the face. His aura was flickering more and more as I grabbed him by his dumb bowler hat and shot rounds into his gut. With one last shot, his aura broke and he was saved by another bullhead unloading roads into me.

Blake:"(Y/n)!"

I flinched and my body shook as bullets filled my body and I fell backwards. Roman took that chance to get in the bullhead and fly away. The last few church members ran off too as Blake rushed to my side.

Blake:"(Y/n) no! This is all my fault! If I hadn't-"

I quickly sat up and plucked out a bullet that made its way to my forehead.

?:"Dude, you good?"

"Ah this? This is nothing. All these bullet holes are good for this evening breeze really."

My wounds began healing as Ruby and some girl came over to meet up with us.

Ruby:"(Y/n)! Blake! Are you two alright?"

"Yeah. Just peachy. Who's she?"

Penny:"Salutations! I am Penny! I'm Ruby's friend!"

"Nice to meet you Penny. I'm (Y/n), her brother."

Penny:"Will you be my friend too?"

"Sure, why not?"

Penny:"Fantastic!"

"And you? Who are you?"

Sun:"I'm Sun Wukong."

"That name sounds oddly familiar."

Sun:"I get that a lot."

Penny:"The police will be here shortly. The right course of action would to be to sit and wait for them."

Ruby:"Penny's right."

"Ugh! Fine."

We sat on some crates as Blake told us that she had abandoned the White Fang as soon as they began getting violent with their protests. The police arrived and questioned us on what happened. Weiss and Yang showed up and Weiss made up with Blake.

"Welp, looks like the band is back together."

Blake:"Wait (Y/n). What did they mean? When they said..."

Yang:"When who said what?"

Sun:"The thing that robed dude said?"

"...Well, I guess I should spill the beans."

I let out a sigh and shook my head.

"Back at the academy I will."

Later

We were all gathered in their dorm as they sat on their beds.

"Okay, since we're all sharing secrets it's about time I shared mine. Weiss, remember that day at the diner?"

Weiss:"I do."

"And remember how I told you it was a secret?"

Weiss:"Yes."

"Well, you see, I go around and hunt demons on the side."

Ruby:"Demons? You mean Grimm right?"

"No Ruby, I mean actual creatures from Hell itself."

I pulled out my pendant and showed it to everyone.

Yang:"That's your pendant that you got as a gift."

"Yeah. It belonged to my birth parents. One of which was a demon named Sparda."

Weiss:"Wait! I heard stories about him!"

Blake:"So have I. The Faunus look up to him because he protected everyone equally."

Ruby:"I think I remember Uncle Qrow telling us stories about him too."

"Yeah. They weren't just stories. They were all true. And he's my birth father."

Yang:"What?! No way!"

Weiss:"How do we know you're telling the truth?"

Blake:"I believe him. (Y/n) was gunned down by a bullhead, but shrugged off the attack and healed up good as new."

"And if you don't believe me..."

I grabbed Alastor off my back and stabbed it through my chest.

RWY:"(Y/n)!"

I grunted in annoyance as I pulled out the sword and showed them my wound that was beginning to heal.

"And if you need extra proof, we can go to the Emerald Forest to find some demons. But with that said, it's time we got some rest. Good night."

Ruby:"Night."

Yang:"Sweet dreams."

I nodded and left their dorm.

Elsewhere

Roman was clutching his stomach and walked into a warehouse. He grit his teeth and was grunting with pain.

Roman:"That fucking kid... Is he really a demon?"

He set a briefcase down on a table and leaned against it. He heard footsteps behind him and looked to see who else was there.

Roman:"I wasn't expecting to see you three so soon."

He was looking at a woman with two people behind her as she spoke back to him.

?:"We're expecting more from you."

Roman:"Hey, you were the one who suggested working with those stupid mutts from the White Fang."

?:"And you will continue to do so."

She opened her left palm and created a small ball of fire.

?:"We have very big plans, Roman. All we ask for is a little cooperation."

Roman:"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Fought that kid again with the white hair."

?:"What?"

Roman:"Yeah. And apparently some people think he's the son of some demon named Sparda or something like that."

?:"So it's true then..."

Roman:"What? You serious?"

?:"I am. I'm surprised you're even still alive after fighting against him."

Roman:"Yeah. Kid take bullets from a bullhead turret like nothing. Didn't even use an aura to protect him either."

?:"Be on your guard. Next time you see him, stay away."

Roman:"Aye aye captain."
