Ruby:"Dad, can I go to Dust Till Dawn to get some more dust?"

Tai:"Ruby, it's gonna be close till curfew."

Ruby:"Pretty please?"

She looked up at him with sad eyes and he couldn't resist.

Tai:"Alright, but you need to go with (Y/n)."

"Wait what?"

Tai:"You need to make sure Ruby doesn't do anything crazy."

I sighed and just nodded. Ruby simply smiled.

Ruby: Yes! I get to be alone with (Y/n)!

"Let me grab my jacket."

I got off the couch and walked upstairs and into my room. It was pretty standard for a dude like me. Posters of artists I like or some video game characters. There was a shelf I had for my video game collection over the years. Hanging above my bed was the sword that was gifted to me by my family when I was 10. Alastor.

I kept it hanging up horizontally and usually kept my coat on top of it. When I looked up at it, my coat wasn't there and I sighed.

"Dang it Yang."

I walked across the hall and knocked on Yang's door.

Yang:"Come in!"

I entered and saw that she was in her pajamas. That being an orange tank top and short shorts. She saw me and smiled.

Yang:"What's up little bro?"

"I need my jacket back."

Yang:"What makes you think I have it?"

"Because you always want to wear it."

Yang:"Hey it's not my fault its flashy and comfy!"

I just sighed before she sat up and got out of bed. She walked to her closet and got it out. I reached out for it but she pulled it away.

Yang:"Do the thing."

"You serious?"

Yang:"You aren't gonna get the jacket back unless you do the thing."

I just rolled my eyes before grabbing Alastor and put on a black plain shirt. She handed me my jacket as I tossed up Alastor and spun my coat around. I slipped my arms through the sleeves and clipped it before catching my sword.

Yang:"Badass as always little bro."

"Thanks Yang. I gotta go take Ruby to some dust shop so I'll see ya later."

Yang:"How about a kiss before you go?"

She winked at me playfully as I deadpanned and left the room. She only laughed before resting on her bed.

Yang: Almost had him that time. If only he did that jacket trick shirtless.

I walked downstairs and Ruby pumped her fist before grabbing her headphones and Crescent Rose. I kept Alastor strapped on my back and followed her outside the house.

Ruby:"So are you gonna be sad with Yang going away to Beacon?"

"Nah. If anything it means less apologies to make in her name."

Ruby:"Yeah. Her time at Signal was pretty wild. All those boys she beat up and those girls she scared off."

"Excuse me? I didn't know about that."

Ruby:"Well, it's not really important."

"I feel like it is. What did she do to scare off some girls and what did they do to make her mad?"

Ruby:"Well..."

I looked at her curiously as she pretended to whistle.

"Whatever. It really isn't my business anymore."

We eventually made it to the main city and walked down the street to the dust shop. We entered where a kind old man greeted us. We greeted back and Ruby put on some headphones and walked over to the magazine shelf. I face palmed as she read from Weapons Monthly while humming to a song that was playing in her head phones.

"Hey excuse me, sir."

Old man:"How may I help you, young man?"

"Do you have a restroom I can use?"

He nodded and pointed to the back so I walked there.

No One's POV

Ruby kept flipping through the pages of the magazine before she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned her head and removed her headphones.

Ruby:"Yes?"

Goon:"Put your hands up!"

Ruby:"Are you robbing me?"

Goon:"Yes!"

Ruby:"Ohhhh."

She then proceeded to kick the goon out of the store's window which caught the attention of his comrades and his boss. His boss just so happened to be the notorious criminal Roman Torchwick.

Roman:"Okay... Get her!"

They rushed at her but were stopped when a sword was thrown from the right and blocked their path. They turned their heads and saw (Y/n) walking casually towards his sister.

(Y/n):"You guys might want to hold off on using that thing."

Ruby rolled her eyes before kicking another goon outside and jumping out herself.

Roman:"What the hell?"

Another goon charged at (Y/n) with a sword of his own and swung. He dashed backwards and run up the wall and flipped over them.

Roman:"Seriously?! What the hell?!"

(Y/n) whistled and his sword dislodged itself from the floor and spun back into his hand. (Y/n) landed and smirked.

(Y/n):"Showtime!"

Roman ran to the back and (Y/n) was going to chase after him but a bullet was shot in his direction to halt him. He focused on one of the goons and thrusted forward with his sword. It hit him right in the gut and shattered his aura. He spun around and took out two more before running outside to meet up with Ruby.

Ruby spun around on her scythe and finished off the last of the goons. Roman made it to the front of the store and rubbed his temples.

Roman:"You were worth every cent. Truly, you were. Well Little Red and Big Red, I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut this meeting short."

Ruby:"Hey! I'm not that little!"

(Y/n):"I beg to differ."

Ruby:"Hey! You're on my side remember?"

While the two had a small sibling argument, Roman threw a fire dust crystal on the ground and shot it. (Y/n) quickly took notice and pulled Ruby close to his side and turned so he was facing away from the blast. Ruby looked up at him with a red face before he scowled and began chasing after Roman.

Ruby shook her head and followed her older brother. He jumped on the side of the wall before jumping off and getting on the roof. Ruby climbed up a ladder.

Ruby:"Stop right there!"

Roman:"Man you two sure are something. Beating up my henchmen and the drive to be the good guys. I have a teensy ounce of respect for you. But the rest of my cup is full of disrespect!"

A light blinded the siblings and Roman laughed as he turned to see his escape vehicle arrived. He hopped in it and (Y/n) frowned.

(Y/n):"You're not going anywhere!"

He reached behind him to grab his firearms.

(Y/n):"Oh no."

Ruby:"What?"

(Y/n):"I think I left them at home."

Ruby:"Left what?"

(Y/n):"Ebony and Ivory."

Ruby:"Why?!"

(Y/n):"I don't know! Yang stole my coat so why don't you ask her?!"

They were interrupted by gunfire so he pushed Ruby away as a gun mounted on the bullhead fired at them. They were suddenly surrounded by a purple bubble as a blonde woman stepped up and began using her strange power to attack the bullhead.

Roman:"We got a huntress."

He walked to the cockpit as a strange woman got off the controls and stepped close to the door to fend off the blonde woman. The mysterious woman looked down at (Y/n) and felt a strange shiver go down her spine.

?:"Get us the hell out of here! NOW!"

Roman jumped at the sudden volume of her voice and flew off.

Ruby:"(Y/n), that lady was so cool!"

(Y/n):"Why don't you ask for an autograph?"

Ruby:"Good idea!"

She ran to her side and quickly asked for an autograph.

Your POV

We found ourselves in an investigation room of all places.

Ruby:"Dang it bro! This is because you told me to ask for an autograph!"

"I was being sarcastic."

Ruby:"Well you should've told me you weren't being serious!"

"Then that would've taken away from the joke."

?:"Ahem!"

We sat up straight as the woman paced around the room.

?:"You two children faced a dangerous criminal all by yourselves and didn't even bother to call the local authorities. Under normal circumstances you'd leave with pat on the back..."

Ruby smiled happily until the lady slapped her riding crop on the table.

?:"And a slap on the wrist!"

Ruby:"EEP!"

"Easy there miss. Look, we got caught up in the heat of the moment. If we didn't act fast he would've gotten away! And besides we can't exactly call a timeout in the middle of a fight."

?:"You've got a smart mouth don't you?"

"I'm just stating facts."

?:"Oh you-"

?:"That'll be enough, Glynda."

Someone else had entered the room and it was a man with small rounded glasses and gray hair. I knew this man as Prof. Ozpin, the headmaster at Beacon.

He held a tray of cookies and sat them down on the middle of the table. Him and the woman sat down across from us. Ruby stared at the cookies before taking one and scarfing down the rest.

"Oh hey (Y/n) would you like one? Oh no thanks Ruby I'm stuffed."

Ruby stopped and held out the last cookie she had and I smiled and took it from her.

Ozpin:"So, would you two mind telling me how you learned to do all this?"

He tapped something on his scroll as a video played of us kicking ass.

Ruby:"Gabckxmeisnwkkm."

"Ruby, don't talk with your mouth full."

She gulped and apologized.

"What she meant to say was back at Signal we learned a thing or two."

Ozpin:"They taught this small girl to wield one of the most dangerous weapons there is?"

"Well she was mainly inspired by a certain teacher of ours."

Ozpin:"I do believe you're referring to that dusty old crow."

"Dusty? Sure. Rusty? Hell no."

He just chuckled as I ate the cookie.

Ozpin:"So what makes you two want to walk down the path of a huntsman?"

Ruby then went on a rant about how it was more exciting than most other jobs and more romantic in a way. Somehow.

Ozpin:"And you, young man?"

"Well my family greatly inspired me and I need to become a pro to keep this world safe from certain threats many won't be able to handle."

Ozpin:"I see. Do you two know who I am?"

Ruby:"You're Professor Ozpin."

Ozpin:"Hello."

Ruby:"Hi."

Ozpin:"Do you want to go to my school?"

Ruby:"More than anything! Right, (Y/n)?"

"Yep."

Ozpin:"Wonderful. I'll see you there."

Ruby and I went wide eyed as our jaws dropped.

"For real?!"

Ozpin:"Yes. Now, why don't you two head on home. You'll need some rest for the next day. But first, may I speak with you (Y/n)?"

I snapped out of my daze and nodded.

"Ruby, just wait for me outside the room."

Ruby:"Okay!"

She skipped happily outside as Ozpin and his assistant Glynda looked at me.

Ozpin:"You want to protect this world from the demons that lurk in the shadows. Is that correct?"

"Damn straight."

Ozpin:"I figured as much. (Y/n), you are a special boy. If you don't mind me asking, but I have a favor."

"What is it?"

Ozpin:"If there were any demons that threatened our school or students, would you dispose of them?"

"Of course. I'll kill every last demon there is."

Ozpin:"Good. We had reports of students seeing strange creatures unlike Grimm within the Emerald Forest."

"Just leave it to me."

Ozpin:"Perfect. That'll be all."

I nodded and got up and left the room.

Ruby:"We better hurry on home before Dad gets mad at us."

"Last one there is a rotten egg!"

I quickly ran out the building with Ruby chasing after me.

At Home

We opened the door to see our dad and Yang waiting there for us.

Tai:"Where were you two?! It's an hour past curfew!"

"Well, we got caught up in some trouble."

Tai:"Explain."

"These guys wearing masks robbed the store we were at, but Ruby and I put down the goons. The main boss got away though. He wasn't wearing a mask. He had ginger hair and some tacky bowling hat on with a feather tucked in it."

Tai:"That sounds like Roman Torchwick!"

He quickly began inspecting Ruby for any wounds.

Tai:"Sorry. But I'm glad you two are safe."

Ruby:"Also guess what?"

Tai:"Chicken butt?"

He and Yang laughed and fist bumped each other while I groaned in pain. Ruby rolled her eyes and kept talking.

Ruby:"No. (Y/n) and I are going to Beacon!"

Tai:"Of course you are. Just a few more years and you'll be there."

Ruby:"No! Like actually going! With Yang! We met Prof. Ozpin and he said we're going!"

Tai/Yang:"What?!"

Yang smiled happily and hugged Ruby and spun her around. She then let go of her and smirked at me.

"I don't like that look."

Yang:"Come give your big sis a hug~"

She spread out her arms before chasing after me around the house. I kept running but then tripped on something and fell. Yang jumped in the air and I saw her descending on me.

Yang:"(Y/n)~"

"No! I don't wanna suffocate again!"

It was too late as she had already landed on me with her breasts on my face. She immediately wrapped her arms and legs around me to keep me close to her.
