something that is slightly important

You know what. I love being all fun and games with Hamilton. But there's something I want to discuss.  So yesterday I was listening to the Hamilton soundtrack. Once I had finished it of course I was in tears. It was my first time listening to all of the songs through. But there are a couple of things that will always haunt me:

1. John Laurens and his cause of death

Ok, so John Laurens. We all know him as the loveable freckled gay turtle lover. But, he's so much more. No matter what he would always do something for his friends, especially Hamilton. Like for example. He duels Lee when Hamilton can't. He offers to do it for Hamilton. But what kills me inside is that he never accomplished his dream. His dream was to lead the first black battalion. To end slavery basically. But did he? No. He died while trying to do it.

2. Laurens' Interlude

Ah, 'Laurens' Interlude', otherwise known as 'Tomorrow they'll be more of us'. This song is only show on Broadway, unless you find an animatic. Its right after Dear Theodosia. This song is the start of the emotional drift off Alexander has. Yes there are a few emotional songs here and there. But this song really makes me notice something. Is makes me notice how much Laurens meant to Hamilton and vise versa. Another song that did this was 'Stay Alive', but this really did it. And after this song. Hamilton slowly drifts away. I noticed that after Laurens' death, Hamilton began working more. He began to push himself. Its like he shut off a compartment in his brain. Truly, he drifted away from Eliza and his family. I notice how he really only is close to Philip.

3. Philip Hamilton

So Philip Hamilton is the eldest son of Alexander and Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. And he has a striking resemblance to John Laurens. I realize that this is because they both are played by Anthony Ramos but why didnt they get a different actor. Thats one thing that makes me think. John and Philip look the same. Now back to Hamilton. Philip as I said looks exactly like John. Why? Why does he? That is what gets me to think that something happened between Hamilton and Laurens. Yes, the letters also back this up. But seriously. What explanation is there, don't bring up Anthony Ramos.

3. Stay Alive(Reprise)

So this is the song of Philip's death. So, this is also another thing about Philip and Laurens looking alike. So Philip's death really got to me, as did Laurens' Interlude. One thing is that. We are experiencing Laurens and Philip dying at the same time. Hamilton, is experiencing not only his son but his closest friend dying. Dying to a similar cause, Philip to infection from a gunshot wound and Laurens to several gunshot wounds. So basically, Hamilton is watching both his son and closest friend, might I say love interest, die all at once. Also, what I note is that Philip never finishes his numbers. He only gets to trios(three), its a big impact because Eacker shot him 3 numbers away from when he was supposed to even fire his gun. Also, Philip's first concern when dying is if his father is proud of him.

4. Eliza Schuyler Hamilton and what she went through

Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton is probably, really she is, one of the most strong and forgiving women in history. She dealt with her sister, her husband's father figure, her son, her husband and her eldest sister, who she is extremely close with, dying all at once. She forgave her husband after he had an affair, not once but many times. She is extremely kindhearted. And another thing, when she is singing burn, she doesn't call Maria a slut or whore like everyone else. She is so kind she refers to her as 'girl'. She established the first private orphanage and lived up till 97 years old, all after her family basically died, she raised hundreds of children, including her own, after a big part of her life ran out of time. Eliza is absolutely amazing which makes me lover her even more.

5. Burr and his duel with Hamilton

The fact that Burr shouts 'Wait' when he realizes Hamilton shots at the sky. He does this because, at least for me, he realized Hamilton isn't shooting at him. He shouts this, as if he can turn back time and take away that shot. And what I really hate, is that Burr goes to get a drink after he shoots Hamilton. He feels remorse though.

6. Hamilton and Laurens' death

During their deaths, they both quote something each other say. Laurens saying "I may not live to see our glory. But I eill gladly join the fight. And when our children tell our stories. They'll tell the story of tonight." Hamilton states this during 'The Story Of Tonight.' Hamilton says 'Raise a glass to freedom.' Which Laurens had stated also during 'The Story of tonight'. The fact that they both quote each other, from the same song is so powerful. And during Hamilton's death, he sees both Laurens and his son in the 'other side'. But, he sees Laurens first. He sees his closest friend first, but not his own flesh and blood.

7. Margarita "Peggy" Schuyler Van Rensselaer

Peggy is not really show frequently. She appears only really when the sisters are announced And then she serves as a backup singer. A lot of people believe she is irrelevant but truly she isn't. Percy had loved Hamilton as did her sisters. She had acted like she didnt for Eliza and Angelica. During Satisfied she was there for her sisters. And when she had died, its affected the family. Her and Hamilton were actually extremely close. Hamiltom would always comfort her. He would be there for her. So though it isn't spoken about it affected everyone.

8. Maria Reynolds

Maria plays an important role in Hamilton. She is the one Hamilton AHS an affair with. She is abused and treated terribly. But what bothers me is after all of the abuse James Reynolds still took advantage of the fact she was having an affair and acted like he cared for money.

9. Tomas Jefferson and James Madison

James Madison has a very close relationship with Tomas Jefferson. Madison somehow always ended up agreeing with Jefferson or vice versa. When Jefferson got back from France he was the one to worry and tell him what's going on. He's the only one who asks him "where have you been?" They just have a close relationship in general. And after the 3 sad songs 'Burn', 'Stay Alive(Reprise)', and 'Its Quiet Uptown' Jefferson asks "can we can get back to politics?", Madison in a quivery voice asks "please?"

Thats all for now. I know I didn't gat everything. I'm going to make another part to this. But I just wanted you all to think about this and tell me your opinions, please. Thank you for reading! Bye!
