Nicole's POV
     I came out of the shadows just outside Thalia's tree. I was preparing to enter camp when I heard a scream, coming from the woods. Of course, me not being a monster and leaving whoever just screamed to fend for themselves, I went to help them. As I ran to the source of the scream, I could tell that it was a empousa attacking the demigod.

     Once I got there, I saw how bad the damage was. The boy was bleeding out from the slashes that the empousa had gotten in. I stayed in the shadows, hoping the empousa hadn't noticed me. Then, catching it by surprise, I leapt out of the shadows and impaled it through the neck. Once I pulled my Stygian Iron sword from its neck, it dissolved into the yellow sulfuric dust that I've grown accustomed to.

     The boy looked up at me and I offered him my hand to help him up. Instead, he stood up and took my sword from me. It was then that I noticed that the most of the camp and Chiron had come from the camp.

     "This girl did nothing but sit and watch in the shadows as I was attacked. Luckily I managed to find a blade that is effective against the monster in time." He said as he held my blade for everyone to see. I was in shock. I saved him from certain death and this is how he repays me?!

     I looked around to see everyone but the Seven and Wilma looking at me in disappointment, even Chiron. It was then that he was claimed, by none other than Aphrodite. Chiron then asked his name. He said that his name was John Jameson.

     "All hail John Jameson, son of Aphrodite." Chiron said as everyone bowed, as was tradition. It was at that moment that I knew that my life was about to change forever, and not in a good way.

Time Skip to 3 weeks later

Wilma's POV
The new demigod, John if I recall correctly, was not pleasant to be around, at all. The rest of the camp was oblivious to the fact that he had them under their control due to charmspeak. The only one that were not affected by it was me. Nico was also not affected because the charmspeak was being used against her.

The past few weeks had been torture for Nico because the few friends that she had managed to make left her because of that, that f****ing a**hole. There, I said it. It has definitely taken on a toll on her. I could tell that she wasn't sleeping by the bags under her eyes. She definitely seems a little more depressed than usual. Even the Seven had turned against Nicole because of him. The only person she has left is me and I will never leave her until I die.

For some reason, I heard chanting outside. I looked out the window and what I saw made my blood boil. There was a crowd at the entrance of the camp. It looked like they were throwing someone out of camp. When I looked closer, I realized that the person they were expelling was Nicole.

I ran out the door as fast as I could, not bothering to even pack a bag for the road and stopped Nico before she walked out of camp. She looked back to see who had grabbed her and saw my pleading eyes, begging her to stay with me. She pulled me into a hug so that her mouth was right next to my ear.

"I'm sorry Wilma, I can't stay." She whispered to me, tears rolling down her cheeks and soaking my shoulder.

"At least let me go with you." I whispered back.

She subtly nodded and said for me to go pack a bag for the road. She told me that she would be waiting for me in one of the trees, about a hundred yards out so that she wouldn't be yelled at for staying at the camp since the others threw her out of camp and she was not allowed to be within the camp boundaries.

I went and quickly packed a bag. The bag contained some nectar and ambrosia, clothes, food, bandages and other medical supplies for if we were to run out of nectar and ambrosia (which would most certainly happen), water, and my bow and arrow charm bracelet that my dad had given to me last birthday. After I had packed my bag, I quickly stashed it underneath my bed so that my siblings and anybody else who would be in the cabin would not guess that I was planning to go with Nico.

Time skip to nightfall

Nico's POV
I had been very patient waiting for Wil to come out to where I was and I was getting tired of the wait. Just as I was about to jump down from my hiding spot and go on my own, I saw Wil running towards looking like she was trying to be sneaky. Since she was in the shadows, I shadow traveled her up to where I was.

When she landed on the branch, she looked so confused. I thought it was so adorable. Then a look of realization crossed her features when she saw me. We both looked down and saw nobody down there, we jumped down and headed off into the night.

Until, four entities flashed in before our eyes and stopped us.
