Legion Information: Magistrate Ceremonial Ritual
Information shared by Black Death Legion:
The Magistrate Ceremonial Ritual is a formal process by which Legion Magistrates are promoted from Major Magistrate to High Magistrate, receiving newfound power as a reward based strictly on merit, with nepotism and bribery prohibited under penalty of immediate arrest and disqualification from the ceremony. This ritual, attended by all members of the Black Death Legion, serves as an occasion for the legion to honor those advancing to the rank of High Magistrate. A significant part of the ceremony involves a sacred rite, where the newly promoted magistrates drink from a chawan cup filled with Salvador's Blood, a potent substance derived from Xavier Salvador himself. This act initiates a transformation, testing the endurance of the individuals and granting them a significant power increase once the process completes. Upon completing the transformation, each individual is bestowed with the High Magistrate cape, symbolizing their new status.
In cases where a Major Magistrate is engaged in field operations at the time of their promotion, protocol permits them to delay the formal ceremony temporarily. In the interim, they assume control over the magistrate's jurisdiction within enemy territories they have conquered, maintaining governance until they can return to undergo the ritual and obtain the full powers of a High Magistrate.
