E09: My Bitchass Dog

LALISA

🍂

"Yoongi, is he the sun guy?"

He nodded. Others were confused as hell right now especially Tae and Jimin. He sighed.

"Remember when my bitchass dog Hotdog got lost around two weeks ago? That Hoseok guy found him wandering around the Northside."

"How'd you know he's gay? He told you?" Jennie looked bewildered. Judging by her reaction, I think the Hoseok guy wasn't out of the closet. "He's not out yet!"

"More or less," he said shrugging. I know the story. Yoongi could never keep secrets from me. Wither he tells me or I strangle it out of him—figuratively of course.

Hotdog is Yoongi's chihuahua—the longcoat hairy albino one, whom he loved so much. But the dog seems to not feel the same way 'coz it would always find a way to escape. And just like every time it gets lost, he posts a "lost dog" flyer in the police station and sometimes at Yang's.

So when someone contacted him about his bitchass dog—his own words not mine, he immediately asked him to come meet up. But on that afternoon they were supposed to meet, he couldn't come because my dad asked him to keep me company while he was away. That was when he told me all about it. And how he's developing certain feelings for the guy after a short time of chatting and exchanging selcas—for security purposes he stress.

But he wasn't sure if the guy was straight or not. So I took matters to my hands and asked him myself—through Yoongi's phone of course. I texted the contact named "☀️" straight.

Are you into guys?

Yoongi cursed me around a thousand times. I even thought he was about to kill me but thank God his phone dinged and "☀️" replied.

I don't know. It depends if you are 😉

Yoongi was as red as a tomato. I thought he would burst from the giddiness or what. But that night I saw him smile like a lunatic. A rare momentous occasion. I wasn't able to catch that on camera.

But he didn't tell me his name yet 'coz he said I might jinx it. Even after he replied that text, he still thinks I'm gonna march to the North, look for the guy and demand marriage. His own words to be exact.

"So you've been seeing this Hoseok guy, Yoongi?" Jimin said—a little disappointed. "And you only told Lisa?"

"She forced it out of me," he defended. "And I'm not seeing him. We haven't even met in person yet. I'm not even sure he likes me."

"Wait a minute!" Jisoo exclaimed. "Hold the fuck up. You're gay? As in, you like boys?!"

Yoongi nodded. "Pretty much, yeah."

"Oh my God!" She blurted out. "You don't look like one! You're like a typical bad boy character in a teen chic novel!"

Jisoo was gushing over how Yoongi doesn't look like a gay person whatnot. I turned to Taehyung who was as shock as everyone else was.

"You knew and didn't tell me?"

"It wasn't my secret to tell, Tae," I replied softly.

"And Jimin too?" His voice started to raise which caught the attention of the others. Jisoo fell silent. "Wow. I even feel more of an outsider than I really am."

"But Tae—"

"Save it." Taehyung stood from his seat and walked towards the door. But Yoongi moved pn reflex. He blocked the door even before he could get out. "Move, Yoongi. While I'm still asking you nicely."

"It's not fucking easy to come out, you dickhead," he said.

"And yet Lisa and Jimin knows," he countered.
"Tell me, Yoongi. If my dad wasn't a friend of your dad's, would we still be friends?"

Yoongi couldn't answer as Taehyung brushed pass him. But he still did.

"Even if my dad is friends with some other dude's dad, I wouldn't give a fuck," he called out. "Jimin only knows because he saw me with someone before. And you know for sure how we can't hide anything from Lisa."

Taehyung froze on his tracks. "Even after they found out, why didn't you tell me? How long has it been? You can't answer right? Because I'm not important. I'm not even a southsider for you guys because my Mom's from the North. You always talk about how Northsiders act high and mighty and ignore Southsider when in fact, you're all just the same—"

Yoongi's balled fist landed on his cheek. I gasped at how fast it all happened. Jimin didn't even get the chance to stop the two from throwing punches at each other.

"Stop it!" I yelled at them as Jimin and the other guys tried to break the two off.

But Yoongi was able to push Jin away. Jungkook too was pushed by Taehyung. Jimin went in between but that wasn't even helpful.

I marched towards them and tried to pull Taehyung away from Yoongi. "Taehyung stop—"

"Get off me!"

His arm moved and everything passed too quickly. Last thing I felt was a hard object hitting my head, Jungkook calling my name and the room slowly turning black.

"Lisa!"

🍂

The dryness of my throat woke me up and the yellow ceiling of my room greeted me.

What just happened?

Slowly sitting up, I immediately turned to my right only to see Jungkook sitting beside me while holding my hand.

"What happened?" I asked him. "Why... did I doze off?"

"Give it a minute," Jisoo said—whom I didn't realize was sitting on the other side of my bed, said. "You bumped your head on the coffee table really hard."

"Really?"

On stimulus, my hand went straight to my head. Then it slowly started to sink in. Yoongi revealing his preference to everyone. Taehyung bursting out. And the fist fight—which led to Tae pushing me hard enough to fall and hit my fucking head on something hard. Which apparently was the antique coffee table dad found years ago.

"Oh..." I said in realization. "Where's Tae? And Yoongi?"

"Downstairs," Jin answered as he walked inside the room with a tray and—judging by the cup, tea. "Jennie's currently giving them one hell of a lecture. Including that small friend of yours. He's still trying to hit on her apparently."

"Thank you," I said as he handed me the cup. "Sorry you all got involved. There's been much tension between Tae and Yoongi for as long as I could remember. I guess it just came out now."

"Taehyung said he's not really a southsider? How come?" Jisoo asked. "Not to pry or anything. I'm just genuinely curious."

"His mom's from the Northside," I explained. "He has an older brother too but when their parents divorced, his dad had him and his mom took his older brother."

"What's his name? Maybe we know him?"

"Well—"

"His name is Namjoon," Taehyung answered instead as he went inside the room. "But he goes by RM now."

"But he's a Kim—"

"After the divorce mom made him use her surname so that he won't get picked on in the North for being half-Southsider."

"Oh."

Jungkook stood up and gave Taehyung space as he made his way next to Lisa.

"I'm sorry, Lis," he said as the others started to leave. Only Yoongi and Jennie were left inside. "I shouldn't have blurted my frustrations out like that. It's just that... I'm feeling a lot things lately and I'm feeling really indifferent. Maybe because the Northsiders are in the picture. Maybe it's because of this murder case you're very curious of which makes me worry about you so much. Or maybe it's because..."

"Because of what, Tae?"

"Because you're slowly drifting away from me," he said softly. Like a whisper. "You know I don't get along with Yoongi but you don't know why. It's because you're closer to him even if I'm your best friend. He knows more than I do and that pisses me off."

"Tae..." I squeezed his hand gently. "The reason why I can't tell you everything is because I'm afraid too. I'm afraid I'll hurt you because I know how you feel about me. Gosh only an idiot wouldn't notice. But I love you, Tae. And I don't want you out of my life. And you being my best friend can guarantee my paranoid mind that you'll always be part of my life. That no fucking romantic relationship will screw us both into oblivion. Call me selfish but I don't want you going anywhere. I'm sorry."

I cried. I fucking cried the moment Taehyung wrapped his arms around me. I'm the most selfish person in this planet. I love my best friend but I can't love him the way he deserves to be loved. I tried. But it feels weird.

We can't force ourselves to like someone. More so, to love. It comes naturally. You feel those butterflies in your stomach when you least expect it. And towards a person you could never even dream of.

"It's okay, Lis. I'm sorry too," he said gently rubbing her back.

"You shouldn't feel guilty if you can't reciprocate someone else's feelings," Jennie intervened then she turned towards Taehyung. "Rejection is just another way of the universe telling you that she's not the right person for you."

"I know," he said as we broke our hug. "It's just... it's hard."

"You'll get through," she said as she pats his shoulder. "I'll introduce you to some cheerleaders I know. I have practice tomorrow and I think Yoongi here's gonna need some support."

"Support?" My forehead creased the I looked at him. "You're finally meeting up with him?"

Yoongi blushed hard then nodded. Taehyung and I chuckled at his reaction.

"Way to ruin your image, Choi Yoongi."

"At least he god his balls back," I teased. "Who knows he might get an extra dick after tomorrow."

"@-&/$:&@*@%#£/&$/)&!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

🍂

"Wow. They weren't kidding when they said that Wayji Prep was a lot different from Southside High," Taehyung said as his eyes wandered around the halls of Wayji Academy. "This school makes our place look like a janitor's closet."

"Well you can always ask you mom to let you go here," I suggested. "Maybe I'll ask dad too. I think Yoongi's gonna think of transferring here when it all goes well."

"Stop that," Yoongi hissed. "Stop making me feel more anxious than I already am."

"Don't worry Yoongi," Jennie said without looking. She's actually walking a step ahead of us so we wouldn't get in trouble. She also suggested in a temporary change in fashion since gangster vibe isn't the north's cup of tea.

Tae wore a blue striped shirt and brown jeans while I'm wearing a yellow dress. But nobody could get the black leather jacket off me. Jen says it chic so it's fine. Jimin wore a bomber jacket over a plain shirt and some jeans.

Yoongi on the other hand looked like a model with his white shirt and acid washed skinny jeans. Simple but oozing with sex appeal.

"Where's the restrooms here?" Jimin asked Jennie. "I really need to pee."

"Just go straight ahead and when you see one labeled Boy's Locker rooms, there are some urinals you can use there," she answered while pointing straight.

"Thanks."

As Jimin jogged away, we followed the direction he took as Jennie led us towards the football field.

"Yah Jung Hoseok!" Jennie yelled as we arrived in the area. There were girls dressed in the same cheerleading outfit as her but only one guy was sitting by the bench.

"Jennie Kim you're late agai—" he said as turned around but immediately stopped when he saw Yoongi walking towards them. I clearly saw how his cheeks transitioned from pale to crimson. "Y-Yoongi."

"I uh... I-I'm here to pick up my bitchass dog," he said when he stood nearer. Taehyung and I can't help but chuckle at how adorable Yoongi looked as he's a stuttering mess. "Not that he's here right now b-but maybe later? After your practice?"

Jung Hoseok smiled.

"Holy shit he's like a big ball of sunshine!" I whispered at Taehyung. "Now I know why Yoongi named him sun."

"Moon and Sun," Taehyung whispered back. "Yoongi's all gloomy while this Hoseok guy radiates energy. They suit each other well."

"And it all started because of Hotdog—the bitchass dog," I said chuckling. Then I realized Jimin hasn't come back yet. "Where the hell is Jimin? Did he pee a gallon or something—"

A loud scream echoed from the building. A guy and girl's. Jennie's head immediately snapped towards the locker rooms. Then turned to me.

"I swear, Kwon, if that Dong Jimin's perverted ass touches my cheerleaders I will kill him."

"You and me both. Come on. Let's check."

Jennie, Taehyung and I ran towards the building and saw Jimin on the floor shielding himself—from a red-haired girl (wearing nothing but a towel and is dripping wet) who's throwing things at him.

"You pervert! You good for nothing asshole!" She yelled at him as she threw a soap bar straight to his face.

Jennie's eyes grew wide when she saw the girl's face.

"Chaeng?!"
