I was fuming to say the least. That bastard needs to be put in his place and I would damn well do it if he ever laid a finger on Meredith. He had no right calling her like he owned her. I tried to get in a better mood so I wouldn't ruin the fun she had today.

Later that day we were supposed to be going to a party but Meredith didn't know about going cause she didn't know any one. I tried to assure her that she'd get along with everyone. She finally agreed so we were on our way I offered to drive Kate and Jase so they wouldn't have to worry about drinking since I wouldn't be drinking. Jacob and Jocelyn are supposed to meet us there. I had told Meredith and kate before we left home to dress warm.

"How come were in nothing but fields?" Kate and Meredith asked at the same time. They're probably use to house party's.

"Well cause the party is a bonfire so they need open space to burn so nothing catches on fire in the process. That's also why I told y'all to dress warm." I replied while smiling. I was also holding Meredith hand and it was really nice to care about someone.

They both made the o shape with their mouth. Then Kate went back to conversation with Jase. I looked over to Meredith to see her singing along with the song on the radio and it was a sight to see. She was bobbing her head and dancing in her seat she looked so carefree unlike the girl I saw when that dick called earlier. She caught me looking at her and immediately started blushing. I laughed really hard at this sight. We pulled up at the party and all got out I went around to open Meredith door. She looked like a tomato how hard she was blushing. I held my arm out to her and we started walking.

"Do you want something to drink?" I asked her while looking down at her.

"Mmm I guess a beer I don't really know what they have but I mean every party has beer right? What party doesn't? Do I look okay? And i to over dressed?" I cut off her rambling

"It's fine your fine you look great I'll go get you a beer go find some where to sit down. Okay?" I asked. She nodded her head and walked off. I walked up to the cooler to get a beer and stood up and was met with Hannah.

"Hey Opie so good to see you how are you and that sweet grandma of yours?" She asked sweetly like she didn't blow me off for Mitch.

"I'm fine she's great I got to go I got someone waiting for me excuse me." I said while trying to get past her but she blocked my path.

"You don't gotta lie to make me jealous Opie. I'm sorry for blowing you off for Mitch. But I know you don't have no one here tonight because you only got one beer so why don't you come spend sometime with me?" She asked while touching my arm. I was about to respond when Meredith came up and looked at Hannah then at me.

"Hey babe I was wondering where you we're I was getting lonely." She said while getting on her tippy toes and kissing my cheek and taking the beer from my hand. I swear all the color drained from Hannah's face and she looked like she was gonna faint. I took Meredith in my arm and told Hannah I'd see her around and we walked away.

"Thank you for that." I said while looking down at her.

"You looked like you were struggling to get away from her. I'd figured I'd step in and try to help. Seeing as you kinda helped me with Kayden." She said while smiling.

"Thank you for the kiss to but I'd like a better one then that." I said while grinning down at her. We sat on a hay bale and she leaned over and kissed me. I started running my fingers through her head and I swear it gets better every time.
