twenty five - a bathroom.

Guys! I started a new story called "Blood"! It has seven updates up as of right now and it'd mean the world to me if y'all checked it out!

Dear journal,
I never did go sit with Alex that day. Luckily, the bell rang shortly after the argument, but Scott did convince me to wait outside with him rather than leave the table. He said he was going to talk to Avi today, but I didn't know if that would make it better or not.

I didn't meet up with Kirstie today, simply due to the fact that as soon as I saw her, she was clinging to Malory's side. I didn't want to deal with them being all "coupley", so instead, I went to my locker alone. I was getting things out of it when Avi approached me. He didn't say anything as he leaned against a locker next to mine.

"Hi?" I say awkwardly. He waved shortly. I closed my locker, making sure it locked completely. "Can I help you?" I ask.

"I'm sorry," he says. I raised an eyebrow. "Yesterday...was not a good day for me," he continues. "I had already argued with Es about something, and I'm trying to be better with her, but I get really defensive sometimes. Like I did yesterday, and I'm sorry," he finishes.

"Avi," I say. "It's okay. You were right. Ever since I got here, everything's been chaos and I always seem to find myself in the middle of it." He shakes his head.

"But that isn't your fault! It's because you have both Alex and Scott swooning over you. Before you got here, all this fighting had actually calmed down for the most part. It only started because they both wanted you. None of it is your fault, it's all there's. Scott was right," I chuckle and nod.

"I'm not disagreeing with you," I say. Avi smiles. "Let me ask you one thing, though. Did Scott tell you to talk to me?" I ask with a smile.

"Precisely," we both laugh. "I wanted to talk to you, but Scott and I both knew I was too much of a pussy to come up to you with no motivation."

"Well, I'm happy you did and I'm happy that this is all cleared up," I say genuinely. "I just didn't know you and Scott argued like that." Avi sighed. "You know, like you did in the cafeteria."

"We don't," he says honestly. "That boy is my best friend. We rarely argue. It's somethin' 'bout you, kid. He ain't ever acted like this 'bout someone before. He really likes you," he tells me. I felt my cheeks redden slightly, and my immediate reaction was to hide it by lowering my head. Avi laughed in the background. "I don't wanna invade or anythin', but do you like him too?" Avi asks. "I mean, he never shuts up about you and apparently he's really open about it now that's he's out."

"Don't worry about it, Avi," I say. "I won't hurt him, okay? I'm not sure about how I feel right now, but he's very good at making me feel loved and pretty. That's a good thing," Avi smiled brightly. "Don't relay this information on to him, okay? I don't wanna lead anyone on."

"I'm afraid he's already led on, city boy," he says. I chuckled at the reoccurring nickname. The bell chimed behind us, and Avi immediately spoke. "Now that we are on good terms, shall we walk to class together?"

"We don't even have the same class, but sure," I chuckle, walking along side Avi. "Just don't let Scott see, he'll get jealous." We both laughed.

"Jealous 'bout what?" We heard Scott from behind us. "Hope y'all ain't talkin' about Avi, cause there ain't nothin' to be jealous of," he smirks. Avi smiled. "You two good now?" We both nod with a smile. "Awesome. Get to class, Kaplan. I've got a boy to talk too." Avi quickly parted ways, mainly because he needed to turn away from us anyway. "Have a second?" He asks.

"Not necessarily..." I say to him. "I'm going to be late." He nods.

"Then I'll guess you'll just have to pee in about ten minutes, huh?" He says.

"What?" I questioned before realizing what he meant. "Oh, sure. Ten minutes sounds good." I tell him. "Everything okay?" I ask. He nods.

"Yep," he reassures. "Get to class, I'll see you soon," he lightly pecks my cheek before walking off to class. I sighed before walking into my class, walking towards the back of the class and taking the seat I was assigned by Alex. He looked at me for a moment before looking away. We waited awkwardly for the late bell to ring, and after a little bit of waiting, it did.

Our teacher wasn't in class for some odd reason, and everyone was talking to one another instead of waiting. Well, everyone except Alex and I. I could see him stealing little glances every so often, slowly looking to me but then looking away. I turned to him suddenly.

"Are we okay?" I ask. His eyes widened and then shrugged.

"I mean, why wouldn't we?" He asks. "I thought we were..." he says. I nodded. "I saw you and Scott together at the dance."

"Oh," I say. "It was a last minute thing, Alex. It just all kind of happened-"

"Mitch, it's okay," he says with a smile. "You ain't gotta lie, or try to hide things. I don't really care anymore," he says. I smiled.

"Really?" I question. He nods. "Thanks," I say quietly.

"You ain't gotta run everything by me. You like him, go for it," he tells me.

"Actually, I'm supposed to be meeting him somewhere in a few minutes. Tell her I went to the bathroom," I say, referring to Ms. Eller. He nods as I skip to the hall pass, grabbing it and leaving the classroom. I headed towards the bathroom, finding Scott while walking over anyway.

He walks to me and hugs me as we continue to walk to the bathroom. Once we get inside, we both lean against the wall.

"What did you need to talk to me about?" I ask him. He chuckles and shrugs.

"Nothin'. Wanted an excuse to see you," he says. I roll my eyes.

"Really? I was excited to hear some hot gossip!" I exclaim. "You're lucky my teacher wasn't in class yet."

"I do have some hot gossip for you," he says, walking close to me and leaning down to whisper in my ear. "You in these jeans is the hottest thing I think I've ever seen." I blushed slightly and pushed him away from me. He chuckles. "How was your talk with Avi?"

"It was good. I was slightly confused on how soon he apologized, but whatever. At least he did. We're good now," I smile. "But he did say something about you never shutting up about me and that you really like me," I say with a smirk. He shook his head.

"Fuckin' Avi," he mutters. "Well, he didn't lie." I smile. "Anyways, I'm plannin' on going out somewhere Friday night with Avi and Kevin, and apparently Esther because of Kevin. Be my plus one?" He asks.

"I'd be down," I say. "I'll have to see if I can borrow Stephanie's car, but I'm-"

"I'll pick you up at 7:00?"
