thirty six - a(n) uber.
Dear journal,
FYI: Scott in a non-public area is much calmer and relaxed than Scott in a public area.

"I got it," Avi said, walking up from behind us all. He threw his arm over Scott's shoulder. "See that blonde? Scored a number!" He exclaims. We all looked around and tried to see who he was talking about, but no one seemed to find him.
"Who?" Scott asks. Scott pointed to a boy with blonde hair, though he wasn't the most attractive. "Him?" Scott questioned. Avi laughed aloud.
"Nah," he says. He pointed again. "That blonde. Her name is Victoria," he says. We all knew who he was talking about now when he specified the actual gender.
"A girl?" Kirstie questions. "I'm so confused, what happened to guys?" She asks. Avi shrugs.
"They're still cute, I guess," he says. "Anyway, she's got this rich ass English accent that's cute as fuck. Gonna take her out tonight," he explains.
"Woah, woah, woah," says Kevin. "Do you really think Jackson would be okay with this?" He asks. He Avi laughed.
"Maybe he would if we were actually together," he says, pulling out his phone and sending a text to this new girl. "His loss."
"Avi," I joined in. "If you're still talking to Jackson, maybe you shouldn't talk to her," I explain to him. He shakes his head.
"You know what they say, Mitch. He snoozed, he loozed," he giggles.
"Loozed isn't even a word," I whisper. Avi smirked when his phone buzzed, meaning she had responded to his text.
"Jackson is cute and all, but have y'all seen her?" He asks. "She's smokin'," he continues. I shake my head and brush off the subject, deciding it was none of my business. "You're with me, right, Scott?" Avi says. I raised an eyebrow and glared at Scott. Scott's eyes widened at the stare.
"Don't bring me into it, man," Scott says. "Do whatever you want, I ain't care. I don't really agree with it, but it ain't none of my business."
"What do you mean?" Avi asks. "You won't agree with me?" Scott shakes his head.
"All I'm sayin' is that I got Mitch and I ain't gonna go ask boys for their numbers while I got him," Scott shrugs. I smiled, trying to hide it slightly. "It's whatever, man. You wanna talk to her, go ahead, but we've got a day in England ahead of us and I say we get goin'," he smiles. "I'm tellin' you, The Lizard is the coolest place to do some hikin' around here. It's amazin'," he says, pulling out his phone to call an Uber.
While we all waited for Scott to finish calling the Uber, everyone engaged themselves into conversations. I was talking to Kirstie and Malory about their views on hiking when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Alex staring at me, his eyes bright red and slightly puffy. I quickly excused myself from the girls to talk to him.
"Alex, are you okay?" I ask worriedly. He shakes his head. I pulled him into a hug, shaking my head as I watched Scott staring at us from behind. "What happened?" I ask, pulling back.
"It's not even that bad," he mutters. "I just really wanted to have a good time on this trip and so far the only fun I've had is with you," he continues. "No offense to you, but I expected to spend time with Jake and all. We all planned on going somewhere today, Jake, Sasha, and a couple of our other friends, but when I got to where we said we were meeting up, no one was there. I called them and they said that they thought I wasn't coming and that they had already left." Alex shakes his head. I pursed my lips.
"I know you probably don't want to hear this, but they really aren't good friends to you, Lex," he nodded shortly. I sighed. I thought for a moment, knowing my decision would possibly piss off some of my friends, but I ignored it. "My friends and I are all planning on going hiking at The Lizard if you want to join. We've got two Uber's coming, I'm sure we could find space for you," he smiled.
"I'd love to, if you don't mind," I smiled and nodded.
"I definitely don't mind, but I can't promise they all won't," he nods and follows me back over. I quickly told everyone that Alex would be joining us. Kirstie, Malory, Esther, and even Kevin seemed to be okay with it, but the others didn't quite feel the same. I didn't care, though. Alex was a good guy and he deserves to have just as much fun as the rest of us do.
When the Uber arrived, we all piled into both of the cars. When I had finished buckling my seat belt, I looked up to see Scott standing outside of the car with an annoyed look on his face. I looked around to notice that the car was full, he was obviously upset that he didn't get a seat in this car.
"Hoying!" Avi yelled from the other car. "There's a spot in this one!" He continues. Scott stares at me, waiting for a response. When I didn't say anything, he shut the door to the car and stomped towards the other one. I shook my head and brushed it off, smiling to Alex.
Twenty minutes into the ride, I couldn't help but notice Alex staring down at his phone and laughing. I tried to peek over to see who he was texting, but he noticed and pulled his phone away. I chuckled.
"Are you talking to a boy?" I ask curiously. Alex smiled and blushed lightly. I smiled brightly. "Alex! Who is it?" I ask. He shakes his head.
"Just some guy I met before we left for England. He's really sweet but he's seein' someone right now," Alex frowns. "Which is a bummer because I kinda, sorta, maybe like him a little," he blushes again.
"I'm sure he has a giant crush on you too, don't worry," I answer with a smile. Alex chuckles and shrugs. "Just keep texting him and he'll eventually forget all about his boy," I smirk, pulling my phone out to reply to a text from Kirstie.
Hey guys, it's been a minute since I've updated. Sorry... but I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm in FL at the moment and having to deal with this whole Irma situation...it's pretty scary but my little beach town has been able to put up with a lot of hurricanes. Hopefully it'll last another.
