Chapter 48
The ladies sat in the private living room while a maid brought Sally's baby to the room. Willow was feeling pain in her lower abdomen but it was under control so she decided to join the rest of the girls in the family.
"Aw, she's awake?" Asked an excited Willow.
"Yes, want to hold her?" Smiled Sally.
"Please!" grinned an eager young bride.
Sally took her baby in her arms and put it on Willow's lap. Willow squealed in happiness as the little creature locked eyes with her, "Hello, princess." She spoke in a child-like voice trying to make the baby as comfortable with her presence as possible.
"What's her name, Sally?" Asked a cheerful young lady.
"Sindy." Smiled the mother at how genuinely happy Willow seemed to be.
"Hello, beautiful Sindy. You're such a miracle." Sindy giggled while looking at Willow's expressions and trying to catch her hair in her little baby hands.
"I'm glad to see you smiling after what happened downstairs." declared a concerned Palma.
"My sister in law is strong enough not to give a shit about nonsense, Palma." Spoke a proud Beth while entering the room.
"We can tell." Smiled Sally while looking at Willow.
"Beth, you came!" Exclaimed Willow.
"I couldn't not attend this glorious gathering, girl. Also, I was kind of concerned if Tana comes it's going to be chaos here."
"I don't think she would come." Shrugged Willow while playing with Sindy.
"Oh well, here comes the devil." Glared Beth as a maid escorted Tana to the room with pastries and drinks.
"You cheaters gathered without me." Laughed a fake Bimbo.
"I think we have a reason, don't we?" Responded a busy Willow.
"Palma, how's the pregnancy going?" Added Willow fully ignoring the presence of the mean girl.
"It's getting a little tough these days since I'm getting heavier." Beamed a genuine Palma while touching her belly.
"I can't imagine, but I wish you all the best." Encouraged Beth.
Willow felt someone continuously glare at her to which she looked up, Tana was not happy at all with her presence and it was obvious.
"What about you Willow, since you got married to one of the wealthiest men on earth when are you having a baby?" Asked Tana while faking her smile.
"I'm sorry Tana, you won't be the godmother if that's what you're asking for." Spoke a sarcastic Willow making everyone laugh but the Tana.
"Nah, I don't care about that." She faked another smile, "Did you know that Josephine and Ryker used to date?" She informed while playing with her hair.
"So what?" Shrugged a nonchalant Willow while hugging the baby to herself as it started making noises of discomfort.
"Stop it, Tana." Warned a serious Beth.
"Come on cousin, she needs to know who she married. Well, they used to date for many years they even moved in together, but they broke up because she was forcing him to marry her, that's why I'm surprised he married you." Smirked Tana.
"Shall I cry or what?" Spoke Willow locking eyes with the girl sitting right across her.
"I'm just informing you, why so defensive?" Asked a chill, Tana.
"I think she's hungry, Sally. Check her!" Informed Willow as Sindy started crying out of nowhere.
"Yeah, it's about time she eats." Smiled Sally before taking her baby in her arms and proceeding to breastfeed her.
"So do you have someone in your life, Tana?" Asked Palma.
"Not for now." She answered while playing with her hair.
"It's about time I go to sleep." Spoke Willow excusing herself from the gathering.
"But you didn't stay for long!" Exclaimed a hopeful Sally as she wanted Willow to stay for a bit longer.
"I'm so tired, it has been a long day. I'll see you tomorrow and spend more time with you." She reasoned, while deep down she just didn't want to spend more time with Tana.
"Sure, sleep well beautiful." Smiled Beth as well as the rest of the ladies.
Willow nodded before leaving the living room toward their room.
What that girl just told her wouldn't have ruined her mood a couple of weeks ago, but why does she feel weird about it, why didn't Ryker tell her about his previous relationship with Josephine? Not that it was only Josephine but she mattered the most since she was always around them.
Willow started feeling dizzy to which she immediately leaned on the nearest wall, she looked back from where she came and it was far away, she knew with the pain she was experiencing she can't make it there. No maid was around which was unusual or maybe because this was a private wing. She didn't even know where was the lounge and her phone was upstairs.
Keeping a hand on the wall to support herself she tried walking towards the nearest door but it was a library, she took baby steps towards the next door and it was a built-in cinema. Willow sighed in frustration as the pain got worse by the second, tears rolled down her face as she kept a hand on her abdomen hoping to keep the pain at bay, or that's what her brain told her.
She had no way but to continue or stay on the ground until someone passes by and the second choice didn't look appealing. Biting her lower lip, she gathered the bit of strength she had left and walked towards the next door.
"Ryker!" She whispered before kneeling down on the floor from the uncontrollable pain.
Ryker looked at her from his seat with his liquor glass in hand while his cousins and in-law laughed about something they were talking about when everything went silent.
"Willow!" He exclaimed, "WILLOW!" He knew something was wrong with her and ran towards her kneeling form.
"What happened? What's going on?" As composed as he sounded to be, Willow heard the urgency in his tone, she put her hands around his neck, "Please take me to our room, don't let anyone know anything." She whispered pain lacing her voice.
"Gentlemen, we'll continue tomorrow." He informed earning himself nods.
Ryker took Willow in his arms and walked her to their room as fast as possible, her whimpers confused him and he didn't know what to do.
"Tell me what's wrong?" He requested in haste.
"My lower abdomen hurts a lot, I can't move." She cried while her left hand touched the area that was hurting her.
"What am I supposed to do? What shall I bring you?" He asked before putting her on the bed.
"I don't know!" She cried while squirming in pain on their bed, she held her tummy and laid in a fetal position.
Ryker held his hair before looking around him, her whimpers made his heart clench.
"Is this the first time you experience this pain?" He asked trying to make sense of the situation.
"No, I think I'm having my period!" She whispered.
"What do you usually do in this case?" He asked before sitting behind her on the bed with his back supported by the headboard of the bed, his right hand found her hair and his left sneaked to her lower abdomen.
"I just wait until I sleep!"
"That's fainting from pain, Willow not sleeping." He spoke in anger at how careless she is.
"I'm calling for a doctor." He added.
"No, no, no doctor. Something warm, something warm, I want something warm to put on my stomach." She breathed before a moan of pure pain left her throat.
"Willow, I'm not going to watch you go through this without being able to help you." He informed going to the bathroom to fetch a towel before wiping the sweat away from her forehead.
