After bidding Lisa goodbye, I wrap my arms around myself and take a deep breath as I walked away. It was refreshing to finally go someplace which wasn't involved with work. Just as I was about to turn around to see if Lisa drove off or was still there, a hand outstretched in front of me.
I looked at the owner and smiled. I noticed he had a cheeky grin on his face as he came further into the parking lots' lights. He was still in his office suit with his long brown coat on to of it, so I assume he wasn't working late tonight.
"Seokjin," I greeted, allowing him to pull me into a hug and I returned it without a second thought. "I wasn't able to see you off this morning, sorry, I overslept a bit."
Seokjin chuckled before pecking my head and pulling away from the hug. "It's fine, you don't always have to see me off. Plus I had to leave extra early this morning because of a meeting."
I nodded, tugging him by his sleeve a bit forward and towards the building's entrance. "So no overtime, today?"
He shook his head, combing his hair back with his other hand. "Nope, I don't think I'll be having as much overtimes as before. Say, how was night out? Lisa, right?"
"Yep!" I excitedly agree, nodding my head and skipping towards the elevator to press the button. "It was really nice, we didn't do much but we still had a great time over dinner."
"I'm happy to hear that," Seokjin says, entering the elevator after me. "I'm glad you've made another friend. You've always hang out with your cousin, Chaeyoung all this time and now that she's married and on her honeymoon, I was worried whether you'd start just focusing on work solely."
I smiled at his words. "Yeah, but you should take your own advice! You're the one who's mostly been at work so much. When was the last time you and boys hang out?"
He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head. "Haha, you're right. Don't wanna become a workaholic now."
Just as his hand fell from the back of his head and to his side, he accidentally touched my knuckles which resulted in him just grasping both my hands in his own.
"Woah, your hands is so cold. You should've worn your coat and gloves, before going out." He chastised me in a gentle manner.
"Yeah," I just agreed with him.
Seokjin didn't let go of my hand just yet though, instead he intertwined our fingers and tucked it within his coat pocket. I didn't say anything and neither did he as we waited for the elevator to stop.
All I could think about was the blood rushing to my face and the loud beating of my heart that seemed to pound louder in my ears.
Even if Seokjin and I were forced together by our families and business, it didn't mean that we won't be able to develop these type of feelings for each other along the way.
