Jisoo's bright smile that I witnessed when she entered the car already had my heart racing. She looked so warm, cozy in that coat and scarf, I felt like cuddling up with her right there.
We made small talk as I drove us to our destination, apparently there's this restaurant that opened up recently and it's already became so popular due to the food and service. And that's where I'm taking her, hopefully it'll be her first time going there and it being, with me.
I pursed my lips as a grin threatened to form.
"Whaa, there's so many stars out tonight!" I heard Jisoo say in awe. Rolling down the window to get a better view.
"I know right, beautiful aren't they?" I chuckled.
Jisoo nodded, fondly. "Y'know when I was a kid, I was always fascinated by astrology for some reason. I used to connect the stars, make use of my cousin's old telescope and stuff like that."
I raised my eyebrows, caught completely off guard. Who would've thought that she liked astrology? She didn't seem like that type of person. A smile tugged at my lips. "And what about now? You said you used to?"
She shrugged. "I've become a bit distant and more busy as time went buy so I had no time to study them or anything."
"That's a shame," I pouted. "I would've killed to have you read my horoscope and future."
She giggled, leaning back against the car seat.
Once we reached the restaurant, I pulled up in the parking lot and we began to shuffle around to get our things and jump off. Just as I stepped into the chilly outside air and rounded the car towards Jisoo, I could tell that my bones were gonna start chattering up if we don't enter the restaurant fast enough.
"Hey, Ji, you got everything— oh?" A sound escaped my mouth in surprise when I felt something soft wrap around my shoulders.
Looking up I met Jisoo's smile which seemed to warm me up more than her coat. I opened my mouth, ready to protest because all that was keeping her warm now was a hoodie which was tucked into her jeans.
"Ji, I'm fine—"
"Your shivering body says otherwise." She cut me off.
I shook my head, reaching up and pulling the coat off of me but she caught hold of my wrists before I could. "But what about you?"
She shrugged and pinched her hoodie material between her slender fingers. "I have this to keep me warm, meanwhile you have a crop top and a thin leather jacket that's doing you no justice, whatsoever."
"But Ji—"
She cut me off again by leaning forward, as she now wrapped her white scarf around my neck, making sure to cover my mouth and protests with it.
I felt my breath being snatched instantly when her knuckles grazed against my collarbone, gently and then came the huge emptiness that remained after she backed away.
"Keep refusing and I'll have no choice but to stuff you in this hoodie with me?" Jisoo chastised me with a little playful pout.
... I wouldn't have minded that idea.
She chuckled, shaking her head slightly and we began to walk towards the front doors of the restaurant. "What were you even thinking when you wore that?"
How to impress you.
"I guess I didn't really see the degrees for tonight." I said, tugging the scarf away from my lips. I smiled sheepishly at the memory of her scolding me. "Well anyway, thank you. I felt like my skin was about to freeze and fall off my bones."
"Let me see."
"Huh?"
She pulled me around to face her my by arm and before I knew it, she breathed onto her hands before placing her palms against my cold cheeks.
"There, lemme try to warm you up." She giggled, her hands cupping my face.
I gulped, feeling my heart beginning to race in my chest.
