~In continuation from the chapter 'Sweet' where Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo were on their so called date~

Wang Yibo's POV:

"Papa!"

We both turn to see a young boy following Oreo while her small hand is clasping his.

"This is my boyfriend, Luca. Isn't he cute?" At that the young boy's cheek surely turned red. Great. Even a kid is more forthcoming than I.

"No he isn't your boyfriend Oreo, and please let him go. His parents are going to be worried." Crouching in front of them, Xiao Zhan though was polite, yet his words could not be refuted.

"He is. I asked Luca if he could be my boyfriend and he agreed!" Damn. How is it that we always land up in such situations?

"Kid," turning to Luca, Xiao Zhan enquires "did you agree to be my Oreo's boyfriend?" He on the other hand could only blink and a second later nod shyly.

"Do you even know what a boyfriend is?" This was directed towards Oreo who very enthusiastically nods, "Yes! They hold hands and share popsicles!"

Oh dear heart! It's a good thing that Seiji isn't around or else we would all have been murdered by a raging father.

Laughing insincerely at the situation in front of us, I try my best to difuse the matter quickly, "Oreo, why don't you accompany me to the Icecream store and we'll buy some for all of us?" Nodding with the same enthusiasm as before, she takes the lead and it does not go unnoticed by both of us that apparantly Luca has decided to follow his girlfriend.

"I am not liking this!" Xiao Zhan's glare is lethal and with every passing time my heart felt bad for the kid in front of me.

"Can you let this slide? He's just a kid! They won't even remember eachother. Two steps there," pointing at the shop I continue, "we'll give him an icecream and he'll go back to his parents. Please don't let this spoil your mood."

"How can you be so lethargic?" Huffing his glare becomes even more intense, "No one and I mean no one can come near that kid. She's so innocent. No boy is worthy of her. No girl is worthy of her. No one is. She is an angel. Always will be!"

Oh my! At this rate it seems she won't ever be able to date anyone!

"Aren't you being tad bit overprotective? She is just five, Mr. Frost. You can't always be this way. One day she will grow up and bring her partner home. What are you going to do then?" I challenge him and as expected he refrains from backing down, "Then I will hunt her partner and questions them incessantly until they admit to straight away marrying her!"

What is he even talking?

"Are you going to be this way to your own kid too?" I question without thinking and his answer stupefies me. "If you're going to be the one to spoil our kid, then someone needs to rein them in. Obviously that's going to be me and yes, I will be overprotective."

My steps halt and a second later he realises the words he just uttered.

Our kid? Oh my.

"You want to have a kid with me?" I enquire carefully.

"In long term," his gaze meets mine and there is certain conviction in them "Yes."

I might be the only soul whose future partner talks about having kids with him even before proposing or coming to a conclusion of our relationship.

"Are you going to be this dominating?" I ask further.

"When it comes to you, unlike the name you bestowed upon me, I would call my feelings towards you as protective."

Ahem.

"So you want kids?" Wang yibo, why are you asking this question again?

"With you, then yes." Why does his answer make my heart flutter?

"I won't allow you to be this dominating. I want our kid to experience everything."

"Well, you can try, but I will be very protective of you two, or three, or maybe four. I don't know. Haven't thought on the number of kids I want yet. When it comes to you, Yibo, nothing in this world will make me feel anything less. You come first. Always will. Always and forever."

Oh my.

"You haven't even confessed your feelings for me!" I challenge him yet again. Why? Don't ask.

"If you want flowers and confetti then I shall shower you with them. I thought me making it clear of wanting a family with you should be your answer."

"You love me?" Why is this so hard to believe?

"Well I wouldn't want to start a family with random stranger, do I? Yeah, I love you. Always have. Always will. Now you just need to be ready!"

"Ready for what?"

"To pick out rings!" Turning away from me he follows those two kids who are oblivious to my thundering heart as I stand there dumbfounded.

Did I just receive a proposal in a gaming arcade amidst us arguing? Darn, did he say he wants kids? That too four? Surely I am dreaming! Aren't I?

"Papa!" At Oreo's call I shake from my stupor and find Xiao Zhan buying two Icecreams for Oreo and Luca. He's Mr. Frost, but with kids, he is like a melting snow man.

"Here's your chocolate." Handing me a cup I look at him with surprise, "How did you know this is my favorite?"

"I have always known." Turning to face me he sports a small smile, "Why do you look this shocked? I know you Yibo. We have been living together for so many years. I know your likes and dislikes."

"Really? What do I like?" Taking a small scoop in my spoon I lick them while his eyes trail my movements. "Erotic books."

Coughing up I glare at him as he calmly wipes the remnants from Oreo's lips.

"That's a lie!" I refute and he shrugs but continues to answer as he helps Luca with his Icecream, "Yibo likes to help people silently. Every year on his birthday, he goes to orphanages and spends time with kids there. Yibo donates money quietly for charity without anyone's knowledge. Yibo, loves his baby brother the most and hopes to survive the ordeal he's facing."

Turning to look at me, he gets up slowly and smiles gently, "I hope one day you have it in your heart to love me and give me just an ounce of space. This soul swears, if it cannot make your life better, then I shall atleast try to make your life bearable."

A sharp feeling pierces my heart and my teeth jams against eachother.

"Xiao Zhan."

"Hm?"

"Can you seem my teeth are jammed?"

"Yeah! What happened?"

"Your sweet words gave me toothache. It's that sappy!" I shake my head as he starts grinning.

"Papa, I am done with my Icecream and so has Luca!" Oreo pokes out her tongue and the kid beside her starts giggling.

Just as I was about to wipe her cream filled mouth, we hear another voice behind us, "Luca!"

"Ma!" He runs and hugs a pair of legs. Her brunette hair seems familiar and as she raises her eyes to meet mine, the earth below my feet trembles.

Lea.

"Bo?" I smile at her warmly.

"Lea, how are you?" Her eyes are still the same.

"Good and you?" Her gaze sways from me to Oreo and then Zhan beside us.

"Good. When did you return from France?"

"A month ago. Dan, my husband got transferred here. How are your parents? How's Akio?"

"All are fine." I lie.

Why to bring our unpleasantness of a time when the other knows nothing about it.

"Aunty, are you Luca's mom?" At Oreo's question we all look at them holding eachother's hand.

Lea nods and Oreo continues without stopping for a beat, "He's my boyfriend. Now that you and my Papa are friends, can you bring him to my place tomorrow?"

"Papa?" Lea's eyes widen and I shake my head, but before I could speak out, Xiao Zhan takes over, "Yeah. Well we're sorry about this." He purposely didn't want to clarify the misunderstanding. Hm.

"It's absolutely alright." At her warm smile I nod and we exchange numbers. "So Oreo, before Luca comes over, we'll give you a call. Alright?" With a happy grin the two young couple bid their goodbyes and we walk back to the play area.

"Why didn't you clear her misunderstanding?" I raise my eyebrows whereas he coolly shrugs and questions me, "Old acquaintance?"

"Yeah." With a smirk I answer, "We went out on a date!"

Oh boy, I shouldn't have said that.

His easy stance changes the very instant and his arms band around my waist pulling me closer to his, "Date?"

"Yeah. Why, can't I go out on a date?" Oh this is exciting.

"Be careful Yibo, even Frost can burn!" I gulp at his words.

"She asked me out on a date but I wasn't into it. Rather I wasn't into anyone. We just had dinner but then that was in past. She left for France and I haven't met her ever since."

"So the only one you're into is me?" At his words my world stops, "Yibo, answer me."

Before I could answer, we hear another set of familiar voice and the one I loved the most came to save me at nick of time.

"Hey, you two should be careful. We're surrounded by kids. Have some shame!" It was Akio!

"Akio!" Oreo jumps into his arms and kisses his cheeks, "I just had Icecream, but seems you two had popsicles. Your lips are so red!"
I cough at her innocence and Sizhui tried to cover his face. "Well Luca and I will have popsicles tomorrow!"

"Luca?" Sizhui enquires and Xiao Zhan frets, "Seiji is going to be ferocious."

"Come on, time to head home." Picking and placing her on my hips I question my baby brother, "What are you two doing here?"

"We came out to watch a movie." I smirk at these two. Movie? Yeah right! The marks on their neck tells me that they were doing anything but watching movie.

With Oreo resting her head on my shoulders and the two love birds following us, it was Xiao Zhan's arms around my hips that made me realise, life right now is beautiful. It just is.
