Kids
Lan Zhan's POV:
"Lan Zhan."
"Wei?" Squinting my eyes open I smile when my gaze falls on Wei Ying.
"Of course! Who else were you expecting to be sharing your bed Lan Zhan?" His grin is infectious and instantly I pin him below me and growl "Where did you go? You suddenly disappeared from our lives, Wei!"
Cupping my face gently he pulls me down for a kiss "I was always here my Lan Zhan," placing a palm on my heart his eyes glitter with unsaid emotions "I am always here. With you. Beside you. This Wei is your shadow. No one can separate us, my love."
"Wei" my breathing shudders as his warmth cocoons me.
"I love you. Only you. Just wait a little longer my love. I'll be back soon." His lips seeks mine in urgency and mine reciprocate with same fervour.
Somewhere in this house a phone rings and I open my eyes.
It was a beautiful dream.
Wiping the lone tear from my left eye I turn to look at the vacant space next to me "I'll wait. I will always wait for you. Come back to me with a promise to never leave your Lan Zhan again." With a sigh I leave the cold bed behind. Without Wei, life is an empty shell.
I love you too.
Walking into the living room I amble my way towards the open balcony where the curtains were softly dancing to the tunes of light morning breeze. Melancholy fills this heart as I reminice my dream. It felt so real, but before I could ponder over them a small fist taps my thigh.
It's Seiji's child.
"Princess," her grin is carefree "I'm hungry."
"Where's your father?" I enquire as Seiji wasn't around.
"He's sleeping." raising her two small arms up in the air she jumps in front of me and wails "Pick me up! Pick me up!"
What? Swallowing my words I fervently pray for someone to walk in and deal with this child. Taking care of Sizhui was never a problem, if he cried too much, often I'd place him inside the pen with Wei's rabbits. How should I deal with this child? Do they have rabbit pen here too?
"Princess!" The kid yells "Pick me!"
Glaring at her I admonish "My name is Wangji. Either call me Hanguang-Jun or Wangji."
"Ha... Ha... Han..." with a huff she pouts "Why do you have such difficult names? Wa.. Han... Siz.." with a small shake of her head she point a finger at me "Why can't you have simple names like Seiji, Yibo, Akio or Zhan?"
Stifling a laugh inwardly, I acquiesce, the kid does make a valid point, but nonetheless I still insist "Call me Uncle then." Being her stubborn self, I never remotely expected the kid to act in such a manner where she climbs onto a couch in front of me and from there she... jumps onto my body and I had no choice but to catch her fall. What?
Clinging onto my body like a monkey, her giggles resonates in my ears and whereas my heart is beating erratically. This kid!
"Pretty please, give me some breakfast!" She tucks her face into my neck and I try to steady my soul. Listen to her Wangji, maybe after that she'll leave you alone.
With no other alternative course of action, I carry her to the kitchen and question her preferred food. For some reason the box that the kid points out to, seems too good to be true. Chocolate. Hm! I have this feeling that the kid is toying with me.
Ignoring her request, another box catches my interest and this looks pretty bland too. Alright this must be a healthy meal. Seiji, I hope you forgive me if your daughter consumes something that she shouldn't. Cereal. Looking at the image on the carton, I take out a bowl, pour some milk and the contents inside the box into the bowl of milk for she beside me cringes. Placing her on the chair with childlock, the one I saw Zhan use for her yesterday, with a glare from me, the kid without much fight starts to chomp off her food. Good.
"Wangji," out of nowhere, standing in front of me, Seiji questions with utmost sincerity "Can I take you home? How did you manage to get this brat have her breakfast without much cajoling? Teach me too, please."
"Seiji!" The kid admonishes "I like princess, but he refused to give me chocolates when I asked!"
"Call me Wangji." I glare and she obediently scoops her breakfast onto the spoon and into her mouth.
"Oreo," my gaze meets Sizhui and while my eyes narrow looking at his face, he smiles warmly at the kid "you can try calling him Hang-jun. When we were all young, none of us could manage calling him Hanguang-Jun. So try Hang-jun."
"Um" slurping some milk she enquires "what about you? What should I call you?"
"You could call me DaGe?" Sizhui suggests and the kid pouts.
"Only if you let me play with your hair!" She grins and Seiji rolls his eyes.
"My hair?"
"Yes, here all their hairs are so short, except for Akio Ge, and he won't allow me near his hair. So if you all me to play with yours, I'll call you DaGe." She winks and I have to admire her tenacity.
"Don't you want to play with Wangji's hair?" Yibo walks in and kisses Oreo's forehead. "Hang-jun is beautiful. I'll play with his hair after breakfast."
"What makes you think I'll allow you anywhere near me?" Raising my eyebrows I challenge her and the kid's eyes widen.
"He's old Oreo. Let him be." Akio joins us and stands next to Sizhui as my eyes now narrow at the two of them. Hm..
"No he isn't old. Seiji is old. Hang-jun looks so young!" She retorts.
"Old? Who are you calling old?" Seiji huffs "I am only 28. He," pointing at me "is 38. If I am old, then your Dada is old too!"
"Don't lie Seiji. Hang-jun looks like Papa and Papa is only 23. Dada isn't old! Remember when you came to meet my teacher, my friends called you Uncle. So you're old!"
"Alright, alright" picking up Oreo from the chair, Yibo places her on his hips and blows on her neck. Her sweet giggles make Seiji smile warmly and I knew he was just pretending to be angry. For him, she is his sole princess.
"DaGe?" She calls out Sizhui.
"Yeah?"
"Did you and Akio Ge eat popsicles without me?" She enquires softly and all pairs of eyes were on them.
"What?" They both question uniformly.
"Hm" pointing out she declares "your lips are swollen and red."
"Fuck" Seiji breathes out a moment later and I realise that my suspicion about them were true.
"Even Papa's lips are swollen" she pinches his lips and Yibo winces. Suddenly bursting into a tantrum she cries out "I want some popsicles too!"
Seiji quick on his feet takes Oreo away and walks out of the kitchen where we could hear him say "These popsicles are harmful and not meant for kids."
"Then can Oreo have them when she grows up?" The kid questions and Seiji a moment later answers "Yes... you can." His answer is so not convincing at all.
Just then Zhan walks in and his neck... Hm.
Making my way to where Akio and Sizhui were sitting together, I question Akio "Do you like Ah Yuan?" His eyes meets mine and it makes me happy to see conviction in them as he answers "Yes, Hanguang-Jun!"
Hm.
Without another word I walk away.
Wei, your son has finally found someone to love him. Just like us.
Wang Yibo's POV:
My head! Ugh...
Why does my mouth taste like blood? Ugh! Opening my eyes slowly, I look around to find my room plunged in darkness, but faint lights were seeping in through the curtains.
Hm.
Making my way to the washroom, I relive myself only to freshen up and raise my eyes onto the reflection on the mirror and they widen in horror.
My lips had traces of blood and my neck sported a huge... Hickey?
What happened last night?
Mr. Frost. Bites. VIP room. Fuck.
