01:21 PM. NEW NINJAGO CITY

y/n stands in line for boba. some people allowed her to go in front but that's not how she was raised. she can wait. 

"hello, what can i get you?" pixal says, her green eyes looking into y/n's. the thai girl's hair is dyed a like purple colour and is tied up in a loose pony tail. 

"hi!" y/n smiles. "i love your hair,"

"thank you," pixal smiles. "that is very kind of you,"

"no problem! i would like a lychee boba and a [favourite flavour] boba please," y/n says, getting her [google/apple] pay ready. 

"what size?"

"uh, medium for the [favourite flavour] and large for the lychee,"

"that is twelve pounds twenty five," pixal says, pressing a button the machine. y/n pays, smiling at pixal. "your order will be ready in a few minutes,"

"okay, thank you," y/n walks off, sitting on a chair. she turns on her phone, scrolling through her gallery. she goes onto her mama's album, seeing all the pictures of her and her mother. and of course, sailor and henry too. 

"y/n," she looks up, seeing zane? it's zane right? "hello,"

"hi, zane," she smiles, turning off her phone. "do you want to sit down?"

"no, that's alright," he holds a book, y/n noticing it. "i am just waiting for my partner,"

"you are?!" she doesn't want to be nosey, but she can't help and look around to see who it is. 

"it's pixal," zane says, opening up the book. he's read it all already, but he quite enjoyed it so he's reading it again. 

"the person who just served me?" y/n asks, looking over to pixal. zane nods, flicking to the next page. "you guys are soo cute! and i love her hair!"

"i helped,"

"aw," y/n smiles, looking at zane. "that is so cute," he smiles, closing his book.

"i know things are a struggle with you and..." he pauses, tilting her head si she understands. she nods, letting him continue. "but i do believe that you are destined to be together," y/n gives a smile. "i am not saying wait for him because what he is doing to you is extremely unfair, but i do have feeling,"

"i..." she pauses, sighing out. "i have a feeling too,"

"the drinks for y/n are ready! the two drinks for y/n!"

"zane's the one with the really ashy blonde hair, right?" elena asks, slurping on her boba as her and y/n revise. not that they're doing the same subjects. but it's fun to revise with a friend. sailor sleeps on his bed. y/n brought it to elena's apartment. and elena loves sailor so she doesn't mind. "and the icy blue eyes?"

"yup," y/n says, trying to remember a physics formula for the question she is doing. "he's really sweet,"

"and i wonder why he's friends with lloyd," elena mutters, reading her last english essay. she'll get her teacher to mark it. she does english literature, english language and sociology. she's not in the same lesson as lloyd. thank goodness for that. because if she was, the blond would have been dead by now. 

"elena..."

"sorry, not, sorry," elena says, changing the playlist. she puts their blend on which mostly consists of k-pop, pop, rock, c-pop and old j-pop. "i still don't know why you haven't let me yell at him,"

"nic already did and why do you need to?"

"because i am the best friend and it's my job,"

"well, you helped me get through it," y/n says, smiling at elena who rolls her eyes. yeah, y/n still isn't over it over it. "and i love you~"

"don't,"

"so much~" y/n reaches over to hug and elena quickly moves out the way. "come here!" elena squeals, running away from y/n as the girl chases her. "i love you, i love you, i love you!"

"get away from me, you pig!"

sailor perks up, seeing the two girls run around the room and he barks, wanting to join in. 

"sailor, get elena for me!" y/n points at the wasian girl, making her eyes go wide as she turns to sailor. 

"good dog..." elena says, putting her hands. "come on, sailor," she screams as sailor lunges at her, making her laugh. y/n bursts out laughing, tripping as sailor runs at her too. the two girls laugh, lying on the floor. 

nothing can really compare to two best friends. both girlhood or guy hood or just friendship hood. when the bond is there, the chance of it breaking is slim to none. if there's no complications, and you know me. there will always be complications.

"zane," the nindriod looks up from reading his book, his girlfriend reading one of her own. "may i ask you a question?"

zane puts the book down, locking fingers with her. 

"you have half of my heart, you can ask me anything,"

pixal smiles at him before sighing out. both of them being robots, they can relate to each other a bit more. 

"thank you. i was wondering why lloyd does not want to be together with y/n," she whispers. her and zane are kind. why could they admit that aloud when someone could hear and it would be all over the news. lloyd wouldn't be able to recover and y/n wouldn't be ale to either. 

"lloyd is scared," zane says, simply. "he has an fear which most of us have. our loved ones being caught in the crossfire," pixal does help out sometimes. she's not samurai x unless she needs to be. "what we do is important, i cannot deny that. keeping ninjago and the balance of the realms safe is extremely. but lloyd has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. he is the green ninja. destined to help the realms or destroy them. i assume he doesn't want y/n to be involved in that. any of it," 

but that doesn't explain why he visits her as the green ninja. is it safer that way? what if she can recognise him? does he feel stronger when he has the mask on? 

to lloyd, it's much safer this way. she shouldn't recognise him. the green ninja is a savior, lloyd montgomery garmadon just messes things up. having a mask isn't the worst thing in the world, helps him hide things. 

or hide from things. like his burning feelings for the person he's destined for.

y/n looks over to elena who's dozing off. she smiles, getting a blanket and puting it on the girl. sailor snuggles into elena, y/n taking a picture quietly as she sniffles a giggle. 

she feel her wrist itch, making her want to look. she wants to look and see how he feels. is the heart still dying?

she sighs out slowly, moving the sleeve of her jumper up. she folds it, looking away. she can do this. right? she can. she must. curiosity killing the cat is just a saying. but it's a saying for a reason. satisfaction brought it back right?

she look down at her wrist, seeing a blue. the heart is still slowly dying but there's still some colour. 

"oh lloyd..." she whispers, kissing her wrist. "what are you doing to us?"

 lloyd looks at the stars, before looking down at his wrist. the heart a blue. a sad blue. he kisses his wrist, closing his eyes.

"i'm so sorry, y/n," he whispers. "i can't even tell what i'm doing myself. but i promise you'll be safer without me. i will make sure of it,"
