2 years later.

Leaning backwards to his chair he stretched his body and glances at the clock and sighs seeing the time. Rubbing his neck and staring at the clock thought to head back home after long and hectic day of work.

Picking his phone up he looked worried and anxious when he didn't received any messages from his wife who hasn't been well past few days.

His heart ached and felt restless not able to be with her for dyne all the time due to his work schedule and commitments. He felt so bad not being able to hold her in his arms since few days.

Packing his bags and holding his phone in his hand and taking the blaze off the chair he wore it while heading out of the cabin and dialing her number to know if she  had eaten and slept by now.

No one was at home expect her because her parents and Mukti had gone out of city to attend his father friend's daughter marriage. They were supposed to go with them but couldn't because of his work and Nandini not being well. They refused to go.

His parents understanding told them to take care and flew away to another city with Mukti last night. His thoughts were disturbed when he heard the guards calling his name. He looks at him who upon seeing Manik ready to leave was ready to lock up.

Giving a smile to guards smile and wishing them made his way to his car and opening his car kept his belonging on the backseat and settling himself on the driver seat starting the engine drove away.

In the middle of his journey he crossed to see a flower shop that was about to close and seeing the flowers he thought to surprise his wife with her favourite flowers making her happy.

He parked the car on side and unlocking the car walks to the flower shop and buying the flower and thanking the owner after paying it he walks to his car and carefully placing the flower on passenger seat started the engine again and drove away.

Taking his belongs and holding the bouquet of the flower in his hands he walks inside and entering inside he got shocked seeing the all mansion turns light turned off making him worried.

He switched the lights on and roams his eyes around the house hopping to get glimpse of his wife who was nowhere to be found. Placing the bouquet of flower on the couch along with his belongs he climbed the stairs and starts yelling her name.

His heart starts pounding faster when he didn't get any response and getting closer to his phone he tried pushing the door but it was locked from inside.

He banged the door and softly calls her name out but again he looked disappointed and tensed when she didn't answer him back. His fingers were trembling and his whole body was covered with sweat.

He leans against the  door and hardly knocked while voicing out his worry hoping she would response back to him but it crashed his hope not getting any response. He starts panicking and called her last time warning her to open the door.

Manik : sunshine. Love please open the door. You are making worry now. I am going to be mental if you don't open the door in next few seconds.

His voice broke at the end and felt tears brimming into his eyes. His heart was beating so fast and hard. So many terrible thoughts were running in his hand and he couldn't help get worried and angry.

His head snapped looking at the door when the door finally swung open revealing his wife who stood by the door dressed in a beautiful black saree.

His eyes were fixed on her for mere seconds before ignoring his surroundings he rushed towards her and pulling her into his arms let a tear rolled down his eyes hiding his face into her back.

Her heart sank when she felt his tears on falling on her shoulder. Calling his name out softly pulling out of hit forceful she looks at him whose eyes were filled with fresh tears making her feel bad at him.

Cupping her face she brushed her fingers wiping his tears off and standing on her foot she placed a kiss on his forehead making his heart at peace.

Nandini: I am really sorry baby making you worried. Please stop crying. My heart is aching to see tears in your eyes. I am okay. There is nothing to be worried about. In fact I have surprise for you baby.

Manik : love, you have no how no idea what I was going through standing by the door and thinking what possibility it could have happened to you. Never do it again. I was so worried and guilty for not being able to be with you when you are not well and you pulling this kind prank on me.

Nandini : I am really sorry baby. Now forget whatever you went through few seconds has it fishy happened and listen to me. You didn't even notice anything. I planned so much but it got spoiled.

He looks at her then his eyes fell roamed the room and looked surprised and confused wondering what occasion is he missed. He looked confused and tried remembering what special occasions is it today.

His trance was broken when he heard her soft voice whispering to him and his eyes widened when realisation hits him but then frowned too.

Nandini : happy anniversary love. Happy anniversary dearest husband. I love you so much.

Kissing his cheek she looks at him who looked shocked and confused. Chuckling at his expression she smiles and pulled his cheek breaking his trance who looks at her frowning at her.

Manik : I haven't forgotten our anniversary sunshine. Is it our anniversary three days later. Is my memory weak or what? I clearly remember the day we got married. How is possible?

Nandini : oh my lovey husband. How can you forget? Do you not remember what date is it today? I don't blame you though because you were so busy. I understand you must have forgotten. Manik today is our anniversary not three days later.

Smacking back of his head and not believing he forget most important day of their live he looked disappointed. He looks at her who smiles easing his discomfort. He took smiles and sheepishly scratched back of his head and apologies to her.

Manik : I am so sorry sunshine. I feel embarrassed to know that I have forgotten our anniversary. It feels so disappointment that I couldn't remember the day where I married you. I am sorry love. I was so busy with the work and I forgot it everything else. I feel so terrible now. I don't feel like I did good enough to be better husband. Sorry.

Nandini. :hey Manik. Am I blaming or accusing you? It's alright if you have forgotten. I am not mad at you. Why are you feeling guilt and blaming yourself? Don't you dare to say anything bad about my husband? He's the world best husband I can ever get. I love my husband so much. You can't talk about my husband like that. It's hurting me.

A chuckle let from his mouth and shaking his head at his wife antics he comes forward and cupping her face placed a soft on her forehead with a smile.

Manik : I never knew my wife could be this cute and dramatic over the years but whatever is, I love my wife the way she is herself. Happy anniversary sunshine. I love you so much. I am so blessed to have you as my wife. It's been almost three years since we got married and trust me it's been bliss three years of our marriage. I love you so much.

Nandini: happy anniversary Manik. I love you so much. Indeed almost three years of our marriage. I still could imagine us being shy meeting for the first time and now looks at being happily married and madly loved with each other. I love you too.

They both smiles seeing so content and recalling their first meet and Manik pulls her into his embrace and whispers soft words into her ears.

He dropped numerous of kisses on her head and tightening the hug felt so peace having her in his embrace after a long day at his work.

He broke the hug and cupping her face leans forward dropping kisses on her forehead followed by her both cheeks and lastly kissed on her nose.

Manik : you got me so worried when you didn't dropped a messaged or called me. How are you feeling now? Do we need to see a doctor?

Nandini : I am feeling much better Manik. I am sorry for making you worry. We don't need to go to doctor. Why don't you freshen up and have dinner? I will give my gift after dinner.

He nodded his head and walking to washroom went to freshen up whereas Nandini staring his back blushed and taking his clothes out headed downstairs to heat up the food.

Placing the food on the table she pulled a chair and sat down while waiting for him to come. Soon he arrived and heading towards the dining table found her sitting down. He pulls the chair beside her and sit down making her look at him.

Manik : you also didn't have your dinner yet? Am I supposed to be angry on you or feel sorry making you wait every late like this?

Nandini : you can feel whatever you like Manik. I like to wait for my husband and have dinner with him. It's your choice. I won't stop you. You have the right to be mad but not to feel guilty because I made the choice to stay awake for my husband.

Her words always knew how to melt his heart and anger disappear. He shakes his head and serving a plate for themselves he took a bite and forward towards her who happily took the bite and chewed it.

Taking a bite for him she also fed him and like this they both starts feeding each other and talking. Finishing the dinner he helped cleaning the dishes and walks back to living room where his eyes fell on the bouquet of flowers. He picks it carefully.

He turns around and looks at his wife who looked absolutely gorgeous and hot walking towards him dressed in a black saree showing her curves.

He couldn't move his eyes away from her because she looked so stunning and he was mesmerized by her beauty. Her steps were slowly and her fixed with his with her heart fluttering by his gaze.

As she got closer to him he lifts the flower up and gave to her to which she took it with a smile and brought to closer and smelled the flower.

Manik : happy anniversary sunshine. You are the best thing ever happened to you. I never want anything expect you. I want you to be with me forever till infinity. I love you so much.

He steps himself closer and cupping her face placed a kiss on her forehead and tucks her hair.

Nandini : thank you so much Manik. It's so beautiful . I love you so much. You are also the best thing ever happened to me. I want you to keep showering your love like always.

Manik : I can never forget to love you sunshine. You look so beautiful in black. I can't wait to take it off your body. You will look much hotter without clothes.

Her cheeks heats and her body shivered up by his words and couldn't help but feel shy. He chuckles and scooping her up in his arms starts climbing the stairs and went to his bedroom. He closed the door with his foot still having her in his arms.

He placed her down on bed and was to hover over her but got pushed by her and looked confused by her reaction falling back on bed.

Manik : love. What was that for? What are you doing? Why did you push me?

Nandini ignoring his rants coming out of his grip rushed towards the couch and picked up the a box that she brought for Manik as their anniversary gift and walks back towards him asking him to stand up who winched and rolling his eyes did as told.

Nandini : my desperate husband you will get what you want later but now for open this gift.

She handed him the box and nervously yet excitedly looks at him to see his reaction as he opens the gift and looked confused when he had look at it. He looks at her not understanding reason behind the gift . He again looks inside the box and tried solving the puzzle. His eyes met hers again.

His eyes widened when at the end of bottom of the box he found pregnancy test showing the results. His head immediately snapped looking at his wife who stood there staring him with tears in her eyes.

He again looks at the result before looking at her asking if it is true once she nodded her head confirming it he fell on his knees holding the box.

He took the pregnancy test paper out and palming his face cried quietly. Nandini's heart broke seeing him like this and falling on her knees she calls his name out softly. He looks at her.

Manik : what should I say about this love? Oh god! I can't believe it. You are pregnant sunshine. We are going to become a parents. There is baby growing in your stomach symbol of our love. Thank you so much for giving the biggest and beautiful gift love. I am so happy and excited for our baby. Thank you so much for love for making my dream come true. We will be having our so soon. I love you so much.

He burst into tears and looks at his wife who cried along with him. He composed herself and stood up making her also stand up. He cups her face kissing her forehead and looking at her stomach.

Nandini: I wanted you surprise you. Today couldn't be any better day than surprising you. I found out two days ago when I secretly went to doctor and after that I got scolding you because I went out when I was not well but look at this good news.

Manik : I am sorry love for scolding that day. But whatever I said was for betterment. I am gong to be a father soon. You will be a mother soon. Wow. It feels so unreal and nice to say out loud.

Her smiles grew bigger as she nodding her head looking at him and her heart flutters up when he lowered himself and dropping on his knees again cups her stomach carefully and kissed it there.

Manik : thank you for giving us biggest news baby. Papa loves you so much. We can't wait to welcome you in our world. I can't wait spoil you baby.

He then stood up on his knees and cupping her face kissed her forehead and smiles widely.

Manik : I love you so much sunshine. You are really sunshine of my wife. Thank you for giving the best news. I can't wait to cherish our memorable memories with you and our baby.

Nandini: I love you too Manik. Thank you to you too. It wouldn't have happened without you. I am so blessed and grateful to have husband as you. My life has always been filled with love and happiness. I love you so much. I can't wait start new chapter of our lives together with our baby. I love you.

He smiles brightly and smooching her lips in a long passionate kiss scoops her into his arms and walks to bed still kissing her and placing her down gently hovers over her and breaking the kiss looks at her.

They looked at each other and thought how far have they come along and was about to welcome their baby soon. He kissed her forehead and starts devouring her gently whole night and whispering every seconds how much he loves her.
