The other alpha
Stiles's P.O.V
Stiles sat in the library with Scott, Lydia and Isaac as he looked up the korrigan's powers.
"Are we sure that she's a korrigan?" Lydia asked.
"We're positive." Scott nodded.
"But her powers sound almost identical to mine." She scoffed.
"There's a reason for that." Stiles mumbled as he got up a webpage.
"What's the reason?" Isaac asked.
"Well, it says here that the first korrigan derived from a banshee, which is why the powers are almost identical. The korrigan was essentially a banshee gone bad, so that's why they can kill." Stiles nodded.
"Great, so she's a more powerful version of me. If I can't control my powers, how can she?" Lydia asked.
"She can't, which is what makes the next bit all the more terrifying." Stiles muttered before looking at them.
"Go on." Scott nodded. Stiles sighed, looking back at his laptop.
"It says that as well as the banshee abilities times ten, if their powers aren't under control, they can spill out. If Y/N's powers spill out, she could basically kill everyone she looks at, and she won't be able to stop herself." Stiles gulped. They looked at each other.
"Well that's not good." Lydia spoke.
"You don't say." Stiles scoffed.
"What are we going to do about it?" Scott asked. Stiles wet his lips with his tongue as he thought. His eyes widened slightly.
"I'm going to ask her out." He spoke. They all looked at him.
"I'm sorry, what?" Allison asked.
"I'm going to tell her how I feel, and ask her out." He nodded.
"Stiles, that sounds like a great plan to get yourself killed, we're looking for a great plan to make sure that Y/N doesn't kill you." Scott scoffed.
"Okay, well maybe it's like with you guys. Maybe she needs an anchor. I could be that anchor." He spoke.
"And if not, she'll just end up killing you." Lydia shrugged.
"That's a risk that I'm willing to take." He nodded as he grabbed his bag and stood up. He groaned as Lydia grabbed his shirt as he walked past and pulled him down to face her.
"Lydia, ow." He groaned.
"If you're going to be stupid enough to ask a ticking time-bomb out on a date, at least ask her out to my party. That way, we can all keep an eye on you." She spoke.
"You'd let me do that?" he smiled.
"You're both invited anyway, I don't see why not." She shrugged. His smile widened and pecked her cheek before standing up.
"Thank you, Lydia, you're a great best friend, I love you, see you later!" He called as he rushed out.
Stiles stood in his mirror, running his hand through his gelled hair. He took a deep breath.
"Hey, Y/N, I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me." He spoke before shaking his head.
"We're not in the fifties, Stiles." He mumbled.
"Okay. Hey, Y/N, do you want to go out with me?" he tried again.
"Goddammit, Stiles." He groaned. He looked at himself in the mirror, looking at what Y/N saw each day. He took another deep breath.
"Y/N, I really freaking like you. You mean everything to me, and I think that you feel the same. So, do you want to go out with me?" he asked. He smiled to himself and nodded.
"Should I be worried?"
"Jesus." Stiles jolted as his dad appeared at his door.
"Don't do that, you scared the crap out of me." He sighed, holding his hand to his chest. His dad walked into his room.
"Should I be prepared for you coming into the police station having been arrested because you've been stalking this Y/N girl?" he asked. Stiles scoffed and threw his hands down against his legs.
"You know, I don't stalk every girl that I like." He spoke.
"I'll believe that when I see it." His dad chuckled, making him roll his eyes.
"Anyway, who is this girl?" he asked.
"She's called Y/N. She moved here two and a half months ago and made friends with Allison and Lydia, so she joined the pack." He nodded. His dad returned it.
"What's she like?" he asked. Stiles smiled to himself.
"She's funny, she's really smart, she's kind, she's not socially awkward, and she's beautiful. God, she's so beautiful." He breathed, picturing her stunning eyes in his mind.
"You think that you've actually got a shot with her?" he asked. Stiles looked at him.
"Dad, you're meant to lift me up, not ask if I think that I've got a shot with the girl that I'm in love with." He scoffed before his eyes widened as he realised what he'd just said. His dad smiled at him.
"You're in love with this girl?" he asked. Stiles looked down and smiled.
"I think I am, dad. I think I am." He spoke.
Y/N's P.O.V
I stood at my locker, grabbing various items from it. I shut it and my eyes widened as Stiles stood there.
"Jesus, don't do that." I gasped, holding my chest.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
"It's okay, I just didn't see you coming." I chuckled.
"What, in a vision?" he smiled. I nodded and returned his smile.
"What can I help you with, my awkward little friend." I smiled.
"Hey, I'm hardly little, I'm a foot taller than you." He chuckled.
"What did you want to ask?" I smiled. He returned it and wet his lips with his tongue before looking at me.
"So, obviously, we're both invited to Lydia's party, but I was wondering if...if you wanted to go with me...as my date..." he stuttered, looking at me. My eyes widened, making him gulp.
"Or, you know, we can go as friends, I just thought, um, I don't know what I thought, you know me well enough to know that I don't really think, I, um...what was I saying?" he rambled, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"You were asking me out to Lydia's party." I stated, trying to hide my smile. He nodded and sighed before licking his lips.
"Yeah, I was." He gulped.
"Yes." I smiled. He looked at me.
"I'm sorry, what?" he gulped.
"Yes. I'll go out to Lydia's party with you." I nodded. His eyes widened and he smiled.
"Oh, my god. Thank you." He chuckled.
"Don't thank me, Stiles." I smiled.
"I'm taking Scott too, so I'll pick you up at eight, is that okay?" he asked.
"Of course. I'll see you then." I spoke.
"See you." He smiled. I returned it before walking away.
I walked into the warehouse and gulped as I looked around. It was the same warehouse that I'd seen in all of my visions, right down to the water dripping through the ceiling. My eyes widened as I heard Stiles scream.
"Stiles!" I yelled as I raced to where the scream had come from.
I gasped as I came out of my vision. I panted heavily, pressing my hand against my chest and feeling my pounding heart. I looked up and my eyes widened as I was stood in the middle of the forest that led into Beacon Hills. I panted, my breath exploding into the cool woodland air. My eyebrows furrowed as I spotted the derelict house that seemed to be falling apart. I wandered towards it, branches and leaves crunching under the feet of my boots. I gulped, the feeling of death overwhelming me. I walked up the steps and gently pushed on the door, starting to feel sick as it slowly creaked open.
"This is the start of a freaking horror film." I mumbled to myself as I walked in.
"Hello?" I called out as I looked around.
"Hello? Anyone here?" I tried again. Suddenly, I was grabbed and pinned against the wall, making me scream. My eyes widened as I stared into two red eyes that were similar to Scott's, but it wasn't him. I gasped as the man grabbed my throat and dug his claws into my skin, ready to rip.
"Who are you?!" he spat, his glowing eyes boring into me.
"I-I'm a friend of Stiles's and Scott's, please just let me go!" I screamed.
"Who are you?!" he yelled, digging his claws further into my neck.
"Please, just let me go-."
"Woah, woah, what's happening here?!" I sighed in relief as Stiles and Scott ran into the hallway.
"Derek, what the freaking hell, let her go!" Stiles yelled. The man looked at them.
"You know this girl?" he asked.
"Yeah, we do, let her go." Scott nodded. The man sighed before removing his claws from my neck, making me cough and hold my neck.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Stiles asked, rushing to me and taking my face in his hands.
"I'm fine, I'm just not feeling particularly welcome." I mumbled, looking at the man as I put my hands over Stiles's. Stiles chuckled and looked at the man, making him scoff.
"No wonder you didn't feel welcomed, you just walked into my house-how did you even find this place?" he spat.
"All I could feel was death, my feet just led me here." I scoffed. The man raised his eyebrows.
"Another banshee?" he asked.
"A korrigan actually." Stiles nodded. The man's eyes widened.
"You're friends with a korrigan? Get her the hell out of my house." He snapped, making Scott and Stiles look at each other.
"Why?" Stiles scoffed.
"I've known enough korrigans to know that they're bad news." The man shook his head.
"Anyway, Y/N, this is Derek, he's also an alpha." Stiles nodded, somewhat sarcastically.
"How many alphas do I have to keep track of?" I scoffed. Derek growled at me.
"There's still time for me to rip out your throat." He spat, making my eyes widen.
"Woah, let's go easy, she's just as deadly as you, she can kill you with a touch so be careful, buddy." Stiles chuckled, standing between us. Derek growled again before walking off.
"What a little ray of sunshine." I mumbled as Scott and Stiles looked at me.
"As great as it is to see you, what are you doing here?" Stiles asked.
"Yeah, how did you even know about this place?" Scott scoffed.
"I didn't. I had a vision and when I came out of it, I was in the middle of the woods. I saw the house and all I could feel was death, so I came here." I spoke. Stiles and Scott looked at each other.
"Is there something that I should know? Relating to the overwhelming feeling of death that is currently enveloping me?" I smiled sarcastically. They sighed and looked at each other again.
"Long story short, Derek's entire family died in a fire that was set by werewolf hunters. That's what destroyed this house." Stiles nodded. My eyes widened.
"No, that's not it." I shook my head. Scott and Stiles looked at me.
"Wait, what?" Scott asked.
"I feel death, but it's not that. The feeling is overwhelming, but it's only the death of one person. I don't think that it's happened yet." I spoke.
"You're starting to sound like Lydia." Stiles nodded. I gulped and looked at him.
"What?" he asked.
"The vision that led me here showed an abandoned warehouse. In it, I heard you scream." I admitted. Stiles's face dropped and he looked at Scott.
"And I don't want to worry you, but I don't think that it's a coincidence that my vision showed you screaming and it takes me to the place where I can feel a death that hasn't happened yet." I gulped.
"You think that the death is my death?" Stiles scoffed. I gulped again.
"Maybe we should think about what the vision means. That way, maybe we can avoid what could potentially cause Stiles to die." Scott nodded.
"Yes, I like that idea, I like avoiding the thing that will kill me." Stiles scoffed.
