The nogitsune takes over
Y/N's P.O.V
I stood at my locker, sifting through my work. I smiled as I felt someone snake their arms around my waist, and land their hands against my stomach.
"Hey." Stiles smiled, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Hey, you." I returned as I shut my locker before turning around in his arms. He smiled, looking at my lips as he leant down and gently kissed me. I returned it, holding his face.
"About freaking time." We broke the kiss and looked to the side. My eyes widened as Scott, Allison, Lydia and Isaac all stood there. I looked at Stiles as he looked at me.
"Wait, you guys knew that this was coming?" Stiles spoke, squinting his eyes.
"Stiles, honey, it was obvious from day one." Lydia nodded.
"Well then." I chuckled.
"Anyway, we need to catch you guys up." Allison nodded, starting to walk towards the library. We looked at each other again.
"Catch us up on what?" I asked as I pulled Stiles along.
"The nogitsune." Scott spoke as we went to a table and dumped our stuff onto it.
"What the hell is a nogitsune? We were fighting a void the last time that I checked." Stiles scoffed.
"A nogitsune is the official name for it." Lydia nodded.
"So, what is it? What are we facing?" I asked, sitting next to Stiles.
"My father has seen this before. A nogitsune is a Japanese spirit, it's a kitsune spirit turned bad. It was summoned thousands of years ago and has been around ever since, unfortunately for us." Allison sighed.
"And it likes possessing people. It usually goes for the weakest link." Isaac nodded, making us all look at Stiles. His face dropped.
"Wow, thanks, guys, that's great." He nodded.
"Stiles, it's nothing personal, it's just that you lost your mom and you have anxiety." Scott winced.
"So? Scott, your dad isn't here, Lydia is a banshee and so regularly finds dead people, Isaac's parents are both dead, Allison's mom and aunt are dead, and her grandfather is a psychopath, Y/N's parents had her institutionalised because they thought that she had schizophrenia, I'm pretty sure that we're all weak in some aspects." He scoffed.
"You left out the fact that we're all supernatural, but you're not. You don't have a defence." I sighed. He looked at me.
"I have my bat-."
"Stiles, we're only trying to protect you. We're the only humans but I have my weapons and my dad, so it's going to be easiest for the nogitsune to get to you." Allison spoke. He sighed and nodded.
"Y/N, when it had you pinned to the wall, did you get any visions or anything?" Scott asked.
"I thought that pinning her to the wall was Stiles's job." Isaac smirked.
"Good sex joke, thanks." Stiles smiled sarcastically, holding up his thumb.
"Actually, yeah I did. But it wasn't like a normal vision, it was hazy and blurred, which has never happened before." I nodded.
"Is that a good or a bad thing?" Lydia asked. I sighed.
"Since it's never happened before, I don't know. But I'm willing to bet that it's not good." I sighed.
"Okay. Well, at least that's a start." Scott nodded. I returned it before looking at my watch.
"Crap, I have English. See you guys later." I spoke, standing up and grabbing my bag.
"That means that I too have English." Stiles sighed, following me out. Stiles and I headed out of the library, me walking slightly ahead.
"Hey." He spoke, gently taking my hand. I turned around to look at him.
"What's up?" I asked. He sighed and looked down.
"I'm sorry that I brought up your parents institutionalising you. I know that that's something you don't like to talk about, so I was being a pretty crap boyfriend when I brought that up to show a weakness." He mumbled. I shook my head as I cupped his cheek and made him look at me.
"I'm not ashamed of it. The weaknesses that you listed in there, they make us all like you. They make us human." I nodded. Stiles returned it and gave me a small smile before pecking my lips.
Stiles and I lay on his bed, doing homework. I looked at him to see his eyebrows knotted.
"Stiles?" I asked.
"Hmm?" he mumbled, still looking at the sheets in front of him.
"You look bothered by something." I admitted. He looked at me.
"Do I?" he chuckled. I nodded. He sighed.
"I just, I don't understand this void thing. Suddenly, it pops up out of nowhere but it's supposedly been around for centuries, you can't get a clear vision of it. Something doesn't add up." He sighed. I returned it.
"It'll come to you. You're the best at working things like this out." I nodded, reaching for his hand. I gasped as I got a vision as soon as our hands were touching.
I stood in a warehouse and looked around. I gulped as all I could hear was the faint sound of water dripping in from the leaking roof.
"Hello? Is there anyone here?!" I yelled out. I got no response. I wandered around, seeing if I could spot anyone or anything. My eyebrows furrowed as I saw some sort of writing on one of the walls, but I couldn't read it. I walked over to it and studied it. I pressed my hand against a letter, frowning as it was wet. I pulled my hand away and my eyes widened as blood was on my skin, making me scream.
I gasped as I came out of the vision.
"Stiles!" I gasped as I was lying on his bed. His head jolted to me and he shot over to the bed.
"I'm here, are you okay?" he gulped, gently moving a strand of hair out of my face.
"Yeah, I just-." I stopped as my gaze moved past Stiles and my eyes widened as the others stood there.
"What's everyone doing here?" I asked.
"Y/N, you were out for three hours." Stiles admitted. My eyes widened.
"What?" I choked.
"What did you see?" Scott asked. I sighed and shook my head.
"Some sort of warehouse, it was abandoned, and it had writing on a wall, but it was Chinese or something, so I couldn't read it." I explained.
"It wasn't Chinese." Allison mumbled, causing us to look at her.
"The nogitsune is Japanese. It would have been Japanese writing." She nodded.
"That's not the worst part." I admitted. Stiles looked at me.
"What was then?" he asked. I bit my lip as I looked at him.
"It was written in your blood." I choked, making his face drop.
"Does that mean that I'm going to die? Does that mean that I'm going to be possessed-Lydia, please tell me that you don't feel anything." He gulped. Lydia sighed and shook her head.
"I feel it too. You're in danger, Stiles." She admitted. He groaned and dropped his head.
"I think that we should check this warehouse out. It obviously has some sort of clue to figuring the void out." Lydia nodded.
"Okay, Y/N and I will go check it out." Scott spoke.
"You're forgetting me." Stiles chuckled. We looked at him.
"The void is after you, and you want to come help track it down...tell me that you seen the holes in that plan." I scoffed.
"I could act as bait." He shrugged.
"And what if it actually gets you?" Scott asked. Stiles paused.
"It won't." he shrugged before grabbing his jacket.
Scott, Stiles and I walked into the abandoned warehouse, looking for the void.
"Is this the place that you saw in your vision?" Scott asked. I looked around as tears brimmed in my eyes and I nodded.
"Something doesn't feel right. Something bad is going to happen." I choked.
"Hey, hey, you're okay, we're going to be okay." Stiles reassured.
"I'm not so sure." I gulped as I started to look around. We split up and started to look around the warehouse. I grimaced at the drip of water coming in through the ceiling and landing on the concrete ground. I looked over my shoulder and gulped as Stiles wandered through a doorway and into a room.
"Stiles?" I called out. He didn't respond. I gulped as I slowly walked towards the doorway, trying to spot him. My eyes widened as I heard him scream.
"Stiles!" Scott yelled.
Stiles's P.O.V
"Stiles?" Stiles ignored Y/N as he wandered into another room and looked around. His eyes widened as he saw writing on the wall.
"Y/N-." Stiles screamed as he was grabbed and thrown across the room. His back landed against the wall and he fell to the ground with a thump as he coughed and spluttered. He looked up as the void stormed towards him and grabbed him.
"Scott! Y/N!" he yelled as it grabbed him and shoved him against the wall.
"It's no use, they can't hear you." It hissed before it opened its mouth. Stiles's eyes widened further as a black mist appeared from its mouth and drifted towards him.
"No, no, get off me." He struggled, trying to get out of the void's grip. He continued to struggle as the void squeezed his face, making his mouth open. He screamed as the black mist drifted into his mouth. His eyes widened as he felt it go deep inside him and wrap itself around his heart.
"Try getting rid of me now." The void hissed before letting him go, making him fall to the floor again as he coughed and gagged.
"Stiles!" he looked up and sighed in relief as Y/N and Scott ran into the room.
Y/N's P.O.V
Scott and I ran into the room where Stiles was to see him on the floor.
"What happened?" I gulped as I collapsed on my knees next to him and helped him sit up.
"I don't know, it was just here and there-there was this sort of black mist that came from it, and went into me, and now I feel like crap." He gasped, holding onto me.
"Does that mean that you're possessed?" I gulped.
"I don't know. I feel like me still." he choked.
"Y/N." Scott mumbled. I looked up and my eyes widened as I saw it. The writing on the wall. I slowly stood up and wandered over to it.
"What does it say?" Stiles asked.
"It's a riddle." I spoke.
"What's the riddle?" Scott asked. I read it carefully.
" "Everyone has it, and no one can lose it". That doesn't make sense." I scoffed.
"You know what makes even less sense? How you can read that when you don't speak a word of Japanese." Scott scoffed.
"Yeah, how can you read that?" Stiles asked. I gulped as I looked back at the words.
"That's the terrifying part. I have no idea." I admitted.
