It's the first chapter! Yay! Thanks! Read on.

Hi. My name is Alli Kramer. In my world when someone turns 13, they start getting glimpses of things through your soulmate's eyes. When I turned 13, my first vision was of a dog. My dream dog, a white bulldog with brown spots.

I never think much about the visions, they aren't much, a dog, his feet as he's waking, a hand writing, and a messy locker. I hope I meet him in high school.

The first day of school is tomorrow and I'm stressing out! I'm usually like, 'I don't care what I wear and what people think about my  clothes' but when it comes down to it, I freak out. I guess we all do that, but that doesn't make it any less stressful.

Well, I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I say goodnight to my parents and the little devils who are my 6 year-old twin brothers who never stop talking or bothering me.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I smack my alarm clock groaning. Why do we even have school, I know we need an education, but if no one went to school, no one would be smarter or dumber. So school is stupid but I'm dragged there against my will so... That's my life.

I drag myself out of bed and stumble into my closet. I search through my clothes and finally narrow it down to two outfits.

I lay them on my bed and stare at them. One is a maroon crop top, light wash jeans, and white converse. The other is a sky blue sundress that goes down midthigh with brown lace up sandals.

I go with the crop top, jeans, and converse, and head down stairs as my mom calls me so I can. I quickly change and take the stairs two at a time.

Let me just say... Bad idea.

I was almost to the bottom when I tripped, fell, and slid onto the ground with a thud.

Groaning, I got up with a hand from my mother.

"Oh my goodness! Honey, are you okay?" Mothers can be very oblivious to the obvious.

"Yeah, I just fell down the stairs, and slid on the ground. I'm fine!"

"Don't give me none of that sass Alli," there's the mother I know and love.

"Sorry mom. Can I just eat? Lane should be here soon." Lane is my best friend. Her real name is Laneria (pronounced luh-ner-eeuh) but everyone calls her Lane.

"Yes. I made eggs, toast, and there's orange juice in the refrigerator," she announced as she placed the food in front me as I sat on the barstool at the kitchen counter.

"Thanks mom, you're the bes-" I was cut off by another glimpse. This time, it was something more.

A little girl was running around a room with a "Marian High's Production of 'Godspell'!" poster on the wall. I go to Marian High! We did Godspell last year!

The glimpse ended and I smiled. My mother grinned knowingly. "So Alli, what was it this time?"

"What? What do you mean?" I laugh, embarrassed.

"I mean, what'd you learn about him," she asks, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Oh. Uh, well, hmm. So far I know that 1. he owns my dream dog, 2. he has averaged sized feet (not humongous, I might add), 3. he's not that organized, 4. he has a little sister, and 5. he goes to Marian High!" I was out of breath so I stuffed my face with eggs and toast.

"Oh, honey, that's great!" A car horn sounded outside.

"That's Lane, gotta run! Love you, mom!" I slung my backpack over my shoulder as I kiss my mother on the cheek.

"Bye!" I shut the door behind me, and run around the front of Lane's Honda.

"Hey, Wally!" Oh! Right, Lane calls me Wally, because when we met in 1st grade, I was scared to make friends and Lane, being her gregarious self, asked me what my name was. Like in The Hunger Games (A/n The Hunger Games belongs to Suzanne Collins) when Gale asked Katniss her name, I said it really quietly and instead of Alli, she heard Wally. She knows my name is Alli, but she still calls me Wally.

"Hi, Lane. You nervous?"

"Why would I be? It's not everyday that we're sophomores in high school! Oh! Guess what?" She honestly reminded me of a little puppy when she was like this.

I laughed, "What?"

"I know my soulmates name! His name is.... You ready.... Andy!"

My eyes were probably sticking out of my head, "Really?! How?!"

And she told me how she got a glimpse this morning as he was walking into his room (which she recognized from previous glimpses) and on the outside, it said Andy in lettering with baseball stitches on it.

He too, goes to Marian High.

I wish my love life was that easy. But it's not.

We pull into school and as we get out of the car, a guy on a skateboard rushes by, almost knocking me of the curb. Whatever. I see his back as he's leaving, and I see a navy blue shirt and jeans. Noted. The bell rings and we rush off to our lockers.

This'll be a long day.

Hello! Thx so much for bearing through over a whole month for the first chapter! I'm taking a trip for Thanksgiving, so I'll write a lot, and publish when I get WiFi. May the odds be ever in you favor...
