You won't meet your soulmate
until you're both ready
to say hello to forever
~¤~
5.37 am
You pushed open the door that lead out of your small apartment. It had been your choice to live alone, as quick as you had been able to. There were just too many bad memories attached to the place you grew up at.
Your whole body felt numb, not even feeling the winter coldness as you exited the building, entering a white winter wonderland.
While your body was aching a few days prior, you now felt nearly nothing. The numbness spread over your skin, reminding you of the painful absence of your soulmate.
Your breaths were short and weak and every inch of you just wanted to lay down. But your mind felt dizzy and you had fled out of your tiny bedroom, hoping that the fresh air would clear your mind.
Would've been a surprise if that had actually worked.
It was still dark outside and a faint shade of red marked the slowly rising sun.
You walked down the streets of Seoul aimlessly, not being able to proceed where you were going to.
At this time, only a few cars were on the streets and almost no people dared to get out into the stinging cold.
6.07 am
The sun now stood higher, making the slight fog visibled that flooded the streets.
Your feet made crunching noises in the snow and you finally stopped im your tracks, trying to proceed your current position.
You were in a street near the park, a few trees being visible through buildings that were mainly cafés.
You felt him before you saw him.
You felt your skin form goosebumps as it was slowly gaining back the ability of feeling the coldness and your muscels growing less stiff.
But you mostly felt the oberwhelming presence of this other part of your soul.
Your head snapped into the direction his steps came from and your eyes locked with the ones of the twenty years old.
You saw them slightly widing a - to you - obvious expression of surprise written over his face.
But the strawberry haired boy quickly gained back his senses and averted his attention off you, acting as if he hadn't noticed you.
How childish.
Before he could walk past you, you managed to spill out a single sentence.
"Long time no see Jeon." You felt how raspy your voice was, how shaky and insecure this rather blunt sentence had sounded, spoken by your voice.
He stopped and you wished nothing but to be able to read his mind right now.
He didn't turn around as he spoke, leaving it to your imagination to make up what his expression showed at the moment.
"Yeah, it was quite a long time, wasn't it Y/N?"
You felt another wave of goosebumps forming on your skin, this time due to his smooth honey like voice that sounded so captivating in your ears.
"What happened to 'princess'?" Was your first thought, you of course hat to spill out immediately.
He finally turned, a mocking smirk on his lips.
"Found a better one to call so."
Ouch.
That hurt.
You cocked your head to the side, "You feel it too right? The pain when we aren't together."
He didn't show any expressions when he answered.
"No."
You wished you could tell if he was lying. But the truth was you couldn't. So you just stood there, trying to find an intelligent answer to his quite blunt one.
But he cut you off by turning around again, saying:"Nice try Y/N. Hope we don't see eachother that soon again."
And he disappeared around the corner, leaving you with mixed feelings.
On the one hand, your awful state of hurt due his absence improved a lot, just by talking to him.
On the other hand was, there was this confusion. You couldn't understand how the boy, who hadn't been able to wait till you would marry him, now denied his own soulmate.

They were lying on the meadow behind the boys house.
It was night and the stars shone down onto them, giving them the feeling of security.
She pointed at one of the stars, "This one is the brightest... I like him the most. It's pretty."
She turned her head towards her friend, waiting for a response, just to see the ten years old staring at her.
"What?"
He blushed, "I-I just think that you are way prettier then every star out there."
She giggled girlishly, "Really?"
He nodded, his big doey eyes not leaving her figure once, "Princess?"
"Yes?"
"I-I think I like you too much."
She laughed, "Silly, you can't like a person too much. It just proves how big your heart really is."
This was the moment.
The boy took all his braveness, just to do the thing he had planned to do the whole day.
He cocked his head forward and pecked her lips, making her squeal in surprise.
Then he jumped up grinning, "Catch me if you can!"
When the girl was up he already ran away, making her follow him, "Jeon Jungkook! You can't just run away after-after doing that!"
Oh, how careless these days were.
