People don't abandon people they love
People abandon people they were using

You smiled at the customer as he paid for his doughnut.
As much as you loved your job in the cute little café, the last days had been quite monotone. Now that you've seen Jungkook again you had this feeling, that what you had suddenly wasn't enough.
When you'd left your home, you had done this in a rush, wanting to get all the hurt and confusion behind you. You had been thankful for what you had after your most precious thing in the world was taken away from you, but now?
It seemed like you were living a lame excuse of a live. Living in a small, stuffy apartement with a job as a waitress wasn't worth it without a soulmate at your side.
You snapped out of your thoughts when a girl entered the café.
She was small, with light brown hair and a cute face with pouty lips. You had to admit that she was pretty and her bright, hopeful smile cheered even you up a little.
She put her hands on the counter and leaned forwards, so that your faces were only inches away.
"I'm Sera!" She said, her high pitched voice sounding as cute as she looked.
"Hi, Sera?" You were not only a little confused by the stranger's behaviour.
"What can I do for you?"
She smiled sheepishly, "So...uhm the thing is, I was hoping to get a job here."
"I don't know if-" You were cut off by a flow of words coming out of Sera's mouth.
"I need money, to surprise my fiancé! He does so much for me and I feel so useless. He will even pay for our wedding, how can a strong woman like me just let herself being pampered like that? Also, I love him so much I want really to make him happy for once, I know I can be quite difficult sometimes."
You blinked, slowly proceeding what she said. And again you had too much of a big heart to disappoint the poor girl.
"I'll talk to my boss."
Well, Sera ended up as your co-worker on the same day. She would work there for only a week, what was - according to her - enough to afford her 'surprise'.
To you it was pretty ironic that the girl who claimed to be a strong woman who wanted support her husband got a job for only a week just to quit it afterwards.
But as strange as it all was you couldn't find any negative trades in Sera's personality.
She was very bubbly and bright and liked to help wherever she could.
She got a long with every customer what was some kind if magic to you since you knew how annoying and impatient people could get when they're hungry.
You also noticed how she talked non-stop about her soon-to-be husband and had to admit that you kind of envied her.
"You know, he said that we are possibly soulmates, can you believe that! I hope you'll find a person like he is to me one day too Y/N."
She chimed happily while wiping off one of the tables.
You smiled sadly, mumbling a "I hope that too."
"He said he'd pick me up but I had no clue when we would be ready so it's possible that he'll come a little earlier."
Sera said but you just listened halfy. During the day Sera talked a lot.
You two carried on with cleaning the café until Sera let out an excited squeal, "Oh, look! He's already there!"
The small bell over the door rang, signalizing that someone had entered the room.
You heard your new friend jump into her fiancé's arms and looked up only to drop the plates, you had just picked up, in shock.
"Princess?"
Three years ago
"What do you mean 'he doesn't want to see you'? He always does."
The girl of course did realize how spoilt she sounded but she couldn't believe that her soulmate didn't want to come to her 15. Birthday. They had talked so much about it the last days, him making a lot of cheesy promises.
He had always been there on her birthday. And suddenly... he didn't want to come?
"Yes, I'm sorry Y/N, but it's his own choice." His mom didn't sound even the slightest like she was sorry.
The poor girl felt tears form in her eyes as the woman closed the door infront of her nose.
She didn't understand.
He would always be the one to cling on her, not wanting to leave her side a single time.
She had so many question that left her in utter confusion.
What changed? Why didn't he want to see her that day? Was he mad at her? What happened?
And most importantly...
Was it her fault?
___
What do you think? Was it actually her fault?
