Hey, K-KitD here and look what's back!! Sorry about the long wait, stuff happened and I was put into a slump for a while. Also working on other things in life, all of which personal that I'd rather not talk about. I make no promises when the next chapter comes out, but I hope this is ok. Without further delay, enjoy the long awaited chapter 7!

Once the group saw the death and destruction before them, they shivered. Fear running up their spines at the thought of what could be happening. Whatever it was, it was definitely nothing good. Kitearo sighed then nudged the twins, then Flo, Sans, and finally Kari.

He faced them, his back to the destruction. "Well, come on." He called then pointed his thumb at the burning town. "Let's get going. Battles don't win themselves." He stated. The children nodded while Sans just froze. He watched as the children began to walk off.

"Guys," He began. "Are you sure about this? I mean, it's a battlefield. You might... Ya know, die."

Kari looked at the skeleton. "I know, but I don't want innocent beings, human or monster, to get hurt." She informed then looked to her makeshift family. They nodded and began heading towards Ebbot town. Sans grumbled, not liking the choices the children made, but following them as quickly as he could without overexerting himself anyway.

About thirty minutes later Kari, Boom, Beats, Flo, and Kitearo were at the entrance of the town. They stared in disgusted horror as their home burned in front of their eyes.

"Oh, you're back." A voice called from one of the flames. A boy with messy short maroon hair with black tips, glowing gold-orange eyes, and a black ring around his upper left arm. He looked about two years older than Kari and wore a black tank top with crimson lining, dark brown khakis, and charcoal black shoes. He scowled at the group, letting out a low growl. "You really are cowards. Tucking your tails and running from a fight like that."

"Shut up!" Kitearo roared. "How would--"

"She didn't run." The boy chuckled. Kari widened her eyes in shock. "That fish monster."

"The hell did you do to Undyne?!" Kari yelled in unison with the twins.

The boy shrugged. "Dunno. What did I do?" He hummed. "I mean, I fought her and I thought I killed her. But then she sorta melted." He huffed. "Honestly, I'm not sure what happened. She's a weird one."

Kari sighed in slight relief.

So she's not dead. Darn it.

Chara, seriously.

What?!

You and I both know what she can do.

Oh yeah.

"Seriously?! Now?!" Kari grumbled aloud.

Kitearo looked at the younger girl with a concerned expression. "Uh, are you okay?"

"Huh, y-yeh. T-totally fine." Kari stated nervously, holding the "o" sound for a while. Kitearo huffed, not believing her but he left it alone for now. Flo narrowed her gaze at the boy, letting out a low hum as she thought.

"You," She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "You look kinda familiar." She blinked a few times.

"I do? Never heard that before actually." Flo soon realized something and gasped.

"Fino?!" She yelped. The boy tilted his head.

"That's my name. Who're you?" He asked, confused to no end.

Flo began to tear up. "Fino, it's me. Your older sister! It's me Flo!" Flo began to approach her little brother, only to feel a sharp pain in her left shoulder. A spike of what appeared to be dark energy punctured the teen, black veins growing from the spike onto her like a disease. Fino sighed.

"Look lady," He stated while holding his left hand up, palm down, and tucking his right thumb in his pant's pocket. "I don't know who you are," Fino swiftly raised his hand then snapped his fingers. The spike followed the movement of Fino's arm then shattered like glass. Flo screamed and fell to her knees while more spikes surrounded the others. "And I really don't care. I have a job to do. That's to kill you and your bastard friends. Well, and some monsters too. We need their dust for testing." Flo growled and stood up painfully.

"Flo, what're you doing?!" Kitearo called, stomping on the ground in an attempt to counter the opposing attack. Flo growled. A large flame surrounded her and she began to change. Her hands began to turn into plants up to her elbows, curling a little bit and her finger becoming sharp thorns. Her feet also turned into plants, her toes becoming sharp thorns, while her hair flickered and burst into a beautiful display of glowing reds, oranges, and golds.

"Only half?" Fino grumbled.

"I don't want you to die." Flo replied. "We are family."

"Fuck off you coward." Fino growled. Flo turned towards her friends and sighed. She snapped her fingers and giant roots flung them behind Fino.

"Go, I'll handle my brother."

"But--" Kari began.

"I. Said. GO!" Flo cut her off. Kitearo nodded then grabbed Kari's wrist and began heading off.

We could've taken care of him!

Chara, Flo can handle this. We need to save our strength for the big battle.

Whatever.

Kari grumbled at the opposing Frisk and Chara, who would not keep quiet. The four ran as quickly as they could to find Undyne and her troops, hoping that they were okay. Not long later they came across a few piles of dust. The four shivered and walked on. More dust littered the ground. Kitearo frowned at this. He glanced towards Kari, who was shivering and whimpering. The teen sighed and ruffled her hair in an attempt to sooth her. The girl just shoved him away and continued onward.

In the forest and too far away, yet far enough to avoid detection, the cloaked figure who collected Toriel's dust began experimenting with said dust in a lab that was not very big.

"Sir," A voice called from outside the door. "I am here to inform you that we have more dust for your experiments."

"What kind of monsters?"

"Common, sir. No boss monsters. Although one boy, Fino I believe, has reported of a monster refusing to die."

The cloaked figure hummed. "Interesting." He mumbled.

"What was that, sir?"

"I said get me the empty vessels." He chuckled. "It's time to play god."

Not long after parting from Flo, the remaining four came across a familiar figure.

"Undyne!" They all gasped happily and ran up to her. Undyne turned towards them and blinked. She chuckled and knelt down, scooping them all up into a bear hug.

"Hey you guys." She stated then froze, dropping the four. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" The fish monster roared. "YOU ARE SUPPOSED T--"

"We know! But we wanted to help you." Kitearo called.

Kari nodded. "Yeh, I trained for a whole hour for this!"

"I don't think an hour of training will help." Undyne mumbled.

Kari smirked. "You'll see." She stated. The fish woman only sighed and allowed them to stay with her, so long as they listened to her and did not cause any trouble. Soon half-monsters surrounded them and the group began attacking them yet not killing them.

"They aren't doing it willingly!" Kari called while punching one in the face. "They're being controlled, so don't kill 'em!"

"Got it!" The twins, who were in their half monster form, called in unison. They both had fox ears and five fox tails. Boom's ears and tails were mainly blue and had black tips while Beats's were mainly black with blue tips. Both had sharpened claws and their speed skyrocketed.

"Understood." Kitearo, also in half monster form, stayed. He had silver wolf ears and three silver wolf tails. He also had sharpened claws, but, unlike the twins, his attack skyrocketed. Kari smirked and skid to a stop.

"Kindness, you mind giving me a bit of help?"

Of course!

Kari smiled as her eyes gained a hint of green in her pupils and irises as well as an apron made out of pure green energy and a pan in her right hand made of the same energy. An odd flame made of the green energy appeared where her heart was that seeped upward, it resembled the wind and moved in a soothing motion. A green text box appeared on the ends of her scarf, which read "KINDNESS" in bold green letters, and swayed just like the flame over her heart. They giggled as the three boys stopped and the fish monster.

"Kari?!" Kitearo called in shock.

The girl shook her head. "We're Compassion. Sorry for the mix up." They giggled happily, two voices mixing into one new voice. "We are a mixture of both Kindness and Kari, so we understand." The four nodded, Kitearo punched a person in the face that was about to attack him. Compassion smiled then took their pan and flipped it. "Let's finish this up, shall we?" The pan began to glow. Compassion looked around and smacked an oncoming attacker's left arm with it. The mark on the person's arm vanished. "Huh, we weren't expecting that." They shrugged and continued doing the same thing. Undyne stared in disbelief.

"She only trained for an hour... She better train with me sometime." She thought, slightly jealous. Eventually Compassion finished healing the controlled half-monsters and helped them understand what happened. They thanked Compassion for their help, as well as the others, and went to Mt. Ebott for safety and shelter.

"Hey, Compassion." Kitearo called to them. "You should go help Flo. I'm sure she'd love it if you saved Fino." Compassion nodded with a kind smile and rushed that way, a trail of wind following after them. When they met up with Flo, they widened their eyes. Flo was in her full monster form. She was covered in fire with a visible skeleton made entirely out of plantlife. Fino, also in full monster form, had a spike made out in Flo's torso. Fino was covered in red flames with a black skeleton made of fire.

"Flo?!" Kari's voice was now breaking through, like a glitch. Flo coughed and looked towards Compassion. They ran with a loud yell and hit Fino's left arm with the pan as well as using a strong wind to send him flying into a tree hard. "I... W-we got ya." Compassion stuttered. The green energy flickering on and off and Kari's voice becoming more and more audible. Compassion began healing Flo, but it was slow work.

Kari, you need to calm down. Relax, we can heal her.

Kari inhaled and gulped as Compassion took control once again. "Flo, it's gonna be okay. We've got you.." Flo only smiled weakly.

"Ka...ri..." Flo mumbled and reverted to her human form. "I... Said..."

"We know. And we're not Kari. We're Compassion. Now please, stop talking, we will explain everything later." Compassion continued healing Flo. The older girl passed out with a small chuckle after a while. Compassion sighed once they were done healing Flo. They then went to Fino and healed his wounds.

The boy groaned. "Ow, my head." He grumbled then a vision flashed in his head. "SIST--"

"It's alright. We healed her. She's resting." Compassion informed and smiled kindly. "We are Compassion, nice to meet you." Fino tilted his head.

"But, you look like Kari."

"We'll explain later. For now go to Mount Ebott. There's shelter there. You and Flo will be safe." Fino gulped while changing back to his human form and picking up his sister.

"You..." Fino took a breath. "You'll be okay, right?" He asked. Compassion nodded and pointed Fino towards Mt. Ebott. Fino nodded, grabbed his sister and made his way towards the mountain. Compassion sighed then let Kari take control.

You okay?

Kari nodded. "Yeh, I'm okay. I was just scared I'd lose someone else." Kari sighed and looked down bitterly. "Let's go." Kari started and ran back to be with Undyne, Boom, Beats, and Kitearo.
