Driving in Winter
**I live in New Hampshire and the snow if finally melting, but when I wrote this I was sick of it! I hope you enjoy this poem with a funny twist at the end!**
The car rumbles beneath me
But I'm lost in thought
Dreaming of sunny days
Many have sought
With warm golden rays
Smiling down
No snow at all
To bring us down
Laughing and shivering
Digging in glee
We all thought the snow
Was something happy
Oh how we were wrong
We were quite mistaken
The snow stayed for a month
Our sanity flaking
Another month more
Roofs started to fall
And we started longing
For the end of it all
That the sun would say hey,
You've suffered enough
And put that awful cold snow
Back to where it came from
It would melt in huge puddles
Than drain to the ground
The sun would send us a smile
And we'd cheer all around
But it's not going to happen
As I'm dreaming in this car
Besides, we're going skiing
And with no snow, that would be hard
