Deep Waters
This is a deep poem about what depression feels like (I have had depression before)
Join me for a swim
In the waters blue
Be careful of the currents
One day they might take you
You will just be swimming
Beneath the shining sun
And then you will start drowning
And you'll know the disease has begun
It'll mess with brain
Turn your fingers to claws
Lock your soul up with pain
Tear your heart 'til it's raw
You'll turn and you'll twist
To escape the deathly grasp
But you won't win the battle
And you'll drown with a gasp
You'll sink to the bottom
And stay there forever
Wishing that you'd be rescued
But the voices say never
The blue turns to black
The waves become still
It be that way forever
Because the voices say it will
