Epilogue 1
-Author's pov-
"Uhh, I don't know, Kookie. I guess this one tastes better. You know what, gimme a min." Jin says, and Jungkook nods, taking the spoon from Jin.
"I'll be right back!" he says, running inside. A few minutes later, Jungkook goes back to Jin who was now busy checking the decorations.
"Jin hyung, i didn't know which one you wanted, so here are both." and there stood Suga with a grumpy face and Jimin with his hands on his hip.
"Huh?" Jin looked confused.
"Lemme explain, I'm Min Yoongi, and he's Ji-min." a slow realisation hit Jin as his eyes widened. He laughed in his iconic windshield wiper laugh along with Jungkook.
"Honestly, that was a good one, Kookie. I'm proud that you are learning!" Suga tsked, making Jin shoot him a death glare. "At Least better than your curses!" Suga and Jimin leave, ignoring the older man.
Few hours later.
Jungkook slipped in between Jimin and the body length mirror, to set his hyung's bowtie. "I sometimes hate you, but you are too cute to hate you." Jimin mumbles, making Jungkook laugh.
The tears in the younger boy's eyes didn't go unnoticed. "Are you already crying? The wedding didn't even start!" Jimin laughed, throwing back his head. Jungkook reached for his hair, setting a few strands that were already perfect.
There were staff and supervisors for everything. From the makeup, to the decorations and music, but yet, Jimin's brothers were determined to make sure that everything was perfect.
"Nah, I'm crying cuz Mi noona is getting married."
"Oh you liked her, didn't you?" Jimin asked and Jungkook didn't answer that question. But his hyung knew him well.
"It was evident, Kookie. You are such a noona's boy." Jimin chuckled. "Why didn't you tell anyone?" he asked, and Jungkook shook his head.
"I saw the love you hold for her in your eyes. There was no point in even competing cuz I knew she would be happy with you. That's why I stood back and instead encouraged you to get her." Jimin pulled Jungkook in a hug, patting on his back. "Well, you better take care of my Mi noona, I still got more muscle power than you,"
"My baby brother is grown up, hm?" he said and Jungkook shook his head.
"Not a baby anymore," he said, making Jimin laugh. "Found my moon." he said and Jimin gasped.
"When? what? who? How?"
Jungkook giggled, "Not sure, but you know I have this feeling it's her. Met her in a café a few weeks back while we went shopping. She knows BTS, has an ARMY family, but isn't into us. Still supports." Jungkook said with a faint smile.
"Oh boy, look! You are smitten!" Jimin teased, elbowing him slightly.
"Shh, no one knows yet, I'm telling this to you first because you told me about Noona first.'' Jungkook reasons and Jimin chuckles nodding.
"Can never forget my hundred-fishing-thirty dollars."
"Ey! I still have that plushie safe, okay."
Jimin chuckled.
___
He stood there, nervous as heck. He could feel his heart beating so hard in his chest that he felt as if it would break his rib cage and come out any moment. He couldn't believe his eyes. He was getting married to his best friend of years. His crush. His support system. And his soulmate.
Jin reached out, helping Jimin to set his hair and he smiled at him, thanking him. The calm beach sounds were accompanied by the piano and both sat very well.
Jimin slowly sang the lyrics, A Thousand Years this song meant a lot to the couple. All those times when they were drunk and sang this together, Jimin always dedicated these lyrics for her. And that's when the pre chorus starts, now within a few moments, the doors will open, revealing his bride.
Jimin gulped, tears started to well up in his eyes and the doors opened. He gasped, looking at his bride, walking down the aisle towards him. For him. Ivy's left hand was wrapped around Mr. Kim's hand while she held a flower bouquet in her right hand.
Jimin chuckled, remembering how excited Ivy was, when she caught the bouquet in Yoongi's wedding. The very next weekend, on her birthday, Jimin dropped the question to which Ivy even more excitedly said yes.
Jimin took a deep breath in, walking down the aisle with tears in his eyes. This wasn't how they planned, but he needed to have her hand in his shaking ones. Jimin smiled, putting out his right hand, waiting for her to hold him. Mr. Kim chuckled at the eager boy, slowly giving Ivy's hand in his.
"Tae, Mr. Park and I are gonna beat you up if she's ever hurt." he said in a fake stern voice, making Jimin nod. "Never- never ever hurt her."
-flashback-
"That's never happening Minnie," she said, laughing. After which, she swore as she looked at her mascara from her phone's selfie cam.
"You know I always say don't believe in never."
"Well I don't believe in always."
"Huh opposites attract."
"Never" she replied with an egoistic look on her face, raising her chin and all. It looked more adorable than snobby.
"Always," Jimin finished, smirking.
-flashback over-
"I will always keep her happy." He said, turning to walk towards the stage. Ivy smiled at them.
"Hey, beautiful." He looked towards her, trying to smirk.
"Hey handsome, got you with tears in your eyes, huh?" she said, smiling back. Jimin shot her his famous eye smile, making a few tears slip onto his cheeks. He laughed it off, whipping those tears off.
"Aww, that's fine. I know I look pretty today." They reach the stage and turn towards each other, the cute bunny looking officiant in between. She smiles shyly at him and he chuckles.
"Oh no, you look ethereal." He said, shooting her a wink. The people around them laughed at the couple's exchange.
-a short time skip-
"Okay- uhm! I- uh, no one laughs okay?" Ivy looked at the crowd nervously, as they laughed. "Minnie," she looked back at the man who made her heart shine with love and joy. "You are the best human I have ever come across. I always thought it would be difficult to find someone who would pick up the scattered pieces of my soul with such love. Falling in love with you never felt like falling... Because falling is rushed and suffocating, and it would have crushed me, probably. To be in love with you, felt like walking inside a concrete building and realising I have found a home."
"I love you, when you hug me and caress my hair. I love you when you make me blush and also when you're the one blushing. But I also love you when you don't want to wake up and behave like a kid. Most of all, I love you when you fall asleep while watching my favourite movie. Even though you make me stay up while we watch your favourite dancers' documentaries. Which by the way, are fu- sorry Jin oppa, kinda boring. I'm gonna try loving you- Note though," Ivy laughed tears slipping past her eyes. "I said try, I'm gonna try loving you even when you keep interrupting me while I try to watch k-dramas that are starring, as you say, handsome men.
"And today, I promise you to keep loving you even when you act in ways that make me wanna hate you. Maybe there will be a day where your favourite cartoon characters won't be doing things they love. When Ariel stops singing, when Peter Pan can't fly anymore, when Tigger stops bouncing and Simba stops roaring. When the sun stops shining and the moon's glow gets shadowed with blue... That, Park Jimin, is when I'll stop loving you."
"She's got a way with words," Jimin whispered in the mic while pointing towards ivy as he looked at his close ones. The people closest to them were crying now, though their faces still held smiles. "But well, you know I forgot what I was going to say in front of a crowd." The small crowd that had gathered there laughed once again, this time through tears. "Miss Miles, soon to be Park, there are no words I can use to say just how much I love you, and I doubt the words of this universe will ever be enough to prove how much I do. But I'll try my best to make you feel loved every minute that we are here, when we are in 'now'. In the time that comes, I promise I'll stay right by your side. I wont say there's some reason for it, because love has no reason as a wise lady once told me," Jimin smiled through tears, making Ivy laugh as she tried to control the cascade of her tears.
"I will love you in my lows and in your lows and love you in your sad-s and in my happy-s. And even if it were switched. That's the way that I promise to love you, Ivy Miles. In that way and in all ways. Today, tomorrow and always."
The spectators burst into applause and the slow chant of kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Started off from somewhere in the back. They smiled at the crowd and Inha pulled out a tissue for them, smiling at Hobi who was standing behind Jimin. The officiant, Jeon Jungkook himself, cleared his throat, before reading out the next part.
"Now, the bride and groom will be exchanging rings, as a token of their love." he said, giving a bunny smile. And as a que, Hobi let Yeontan up on the stage, while Inha let Bam from Ivy's side.
The pups melted everyone's heart and Jimin bent down to pick up the ring for Ivy, he gently gave Tannie some pets and stood up again. Hobi slowly brings Tan off the stage.
"Ivy Miles, I'll love you always." he whispered, sliding off the ring into her left ring finger. Ivy chuckles, lifting the ring off the basket that Bam held. Inha brought down Bam as soon as Ivy took the ring.
"Park Jimin, I'll make sure to love you more." she said, sliding the ring onto his finger.
The officiant who wiped his tears for the hundredth time today, wiped his tears one more time, too busy looking at them that Jin had to remind him.
"Oh yeah, sorry. Fav couple right here." Everyone laughs and he clears his throat again.
"Now comes the best part, Now you may kiss the bride." Jungkook said, gracefully, before closing the file and running down the stage, quite ungracefully.
Jimin slowly steps forward, smiling. Ivy looked up to see his almost vanished eyes, and that's when he pulled her by her waist, smashing his lips onto hers, kissing her sweetly.
"First kiss after the wedding." she mumbled, once they broke the kiss. The newly-wedded couple turned to face the crowd as they all stood up to bless them with their choicest blessings. Jimin and Ivy deep-bowed to them, with their hands holding each other's.
"And now! Me and my sister here, have a wonderful gift for our lovely little sister!" Tae shouted, making everyone look at the grinning pair expectantly. Taehyung looked over at Ivy, smirking at her.
"Oh god, it better be something good, you both!" She threatened them. But her siblings just laughed before walking towards the table where all the gifts were kept. He picked up a rectangular flat pack, and made her unpack it right there. Ivy suspiciously eyed it before removing the wraps slowly. It was a frame... One on the side showed a picture of Jimin smiling at his phone and another beside it, showing the picture of a daydreaming Ivy as she rested her face against the car window.
Where the hell did they- but then it came to her mind.
-flash back-
She let a chuckle pass through her and opened her eyes with a sigh. Her eyes then latched onto Inha and Tae's. Her smile dropped in that instance as she realised they had been looking at her for all this while. She nervously "hehe-d" and they shared a look with each other before bursting out laughing at her.
"M- main character era huh?" Tae managed to say through their heavy laughter, Ivy closed her eyes and tried to slide down the seat to hide her embarrassed face.
"You saw the chuckle?" Inha asked her brother, whipping her eyes. She looked back at Ivy before starting to laugh again. Taehyung grinned after winking at his sister. It was going to be their little secret. Their own little type of blackmail if they ever did need one. The secret that Ivy would have absolutely hated.
-flashback over-
"Yah!! Why'd you d-"
"You're most welcome sis," Inha replied, bobbing a cute courtesy with her brother.
"ANYWAYS, as the wedded couple, even we have a special gift for a special person here amongst us..." Jimin walked towards them and said something. Immediately followed by a pinch from Ivy, he chuckled, placing his hand on his wife's waist and pulling her towards himself with a warm smile. Ivy looked at her people smugly before whispering something in Inha's ears. Inha blushed, immediately saying the exact words Ivy knew she would, "But I d-"
Ivy, once again whispered something in her ears. Inha's face went deep red for a second but nodded anyway, making Ivy and Jimin smile wide. The five of them huddled close, as Jungkook and Taehyung joined in. The hyung line looked at each other wondering what the heck was happening. Tae and the gang then walked away to the cabin near the cliff. And Inha quickly followed after a last word with Jimin, who nodded a few times in response.
After a while, they brought in the big wedding cake and ate it while the sun slowly dipped, in hurry to meet the ocean. Laughter and joy was, as if, floating in the air that hung upon the merry people. Soon, it was time to throw the bouquet. All the unmarried creatures present there went and stood behind Ivy as she softly giggled to herself. Jimin watched his wife from a distance, feeling his heart smile at every little thing she did.
As they all stood there, Ivy standing with her back facing them, Jimin asked them to shuffle about. When she asked if they were ready, everyone cheered. Ivy raised the flowers high above her head, making everyone shut up in anticipation. The boys looked at each other nervously, as the music cut off, making the moment more dramatic. The lady of the night then suddenly turned around, air suddenly flowing through her hair, making her look like some kind of goddess(in Jimins eyes).
Ivy confidently started walking towards the single people, holding the members and a few close friends of the girls. And as if on clue, everyone parted ways for her, she reached a certain person; and handed the flowers over. Hoseok looked at her, a look of surprise on his face. But his questioning looks were soon answered, as a mellifluous voice started floating around them. Everyone turned to look towards where the Piano was kept. The player was looking up at her, as she sang, with a soft happy smile on her face.
"No more days without your smile,
No more days just passing by,
Cause I know how much it means,"
Inha slowly walked towards Hoseok, hooking her arm in with his. While he stared at her, open mouthed in shock. There, in the moment, no one existed for them. It was just the two of them, speaking with their eyes, defying everything that ever stood between them.
"For you to stay right here with me
The time we spent apart will make our love grow stronger
But it hurt so bad, I can't take it any longer~"
She took the flowers from his hand and gave him an offended look before placing them on a nearby table. And then, as if from thin air, she pulled out a beautiful purple flower, giving it to him. Hoseok felt his world stop. Inha had just given him a Smeraldo flower. She was telling him her truth; she was choosing her truth to be untold.
"I wanna grow old with you
I wanna die lyin' in your arms
I wanna grow old with you,"
Hoseoks laughed, looking away from her as she pulled him towards the podium where they're best friends had just gotten their souls tied. Hobi had an idea about what was about to happen, but it felt as if his thoughts were frozen. He felt as if his heart was in a freeze. And now, this woman, his Lady Love, was melting the ice in his heart bit by bit.
"I wanna be lookin' in your eyes
I wanna be there for you
Sharin' in everything you do
I wanna... grow old with you~"
Inha lowered the mic, and they had now reached the podium. The only sound around them was the harmony the waves created somewhere deep beneath their feet. Except, of course, the maknae line and the bride, who were all giggling smugly at Hoseoks' shock.
-Flashback-
"Inha, do you love Hobi?" Ivy whispered, making Inha nod her head instantly. "Well we have all of these people here, we have music, we have waves, the moon, the stars, we have the perfect aesthetic surroundings, what are you waiting for?!"
Inha looked at her with confusion etched on all corners of her face. "Wha-"
"Iv thinks- ow! We think now is the best time for you to propose Hobi hyung."
Inha felt nervousness grip her body, but she thought about it for a second and something hit her. She didn't have a-
"But I d-"
"The sun and moon ring Inha! You still got it?" Inha nodded once again, a determined glint settling in her eyes. They called Jungkook and Taehyung over and discussed for a few seconds how to do it. After a brief plan, Jimin noticed Inha's shaking hands. He held her hand for a second saying, "Inha, he loves you. We all know he does. I'm not giving you false hope, but there is absolutely no way, that silly man is saying... well, anything other than yes."
Inha let out a breath and nodded, "alright! Let's do this!"
-end of flashback-
"I know, this is abrupt, but we'll never find a better occasion than this. And now we all know where this is going, so let's do this, my Mcdreamy," Hoseok's face slightly reddened as the crowd ooh-ed before falling silent again. She slowly lowered herself, and the people from the crowd gasped. Hoseok stood there, the warm, yet somehow cool, air blowing softly through his locks.
"Hey, Hobi, let's spend our nights eating cereal on the floor when there is a perfectly fine table near us,"
-Flashback-
"Baby the table is literally behind you." Hobi deadpanned and Inha looked up at him with a sad pout. She looked down at the cereal bowl in her lap and up again.
"Are you gonna- are you gonna make me stand up when I finally found a comfortable place?" She asked, tilting her head from her 'comfortable' place. She was sitting in the middle of their living room, at 3 in the morning. Her eyes teared up slightly, making Hoseok sigh before he ran into the kitchen.
"Nope, I'm gonna join you." He replied, settling beside her and pouring himself some cereal as well.
-flashback ends-
"Lets go to sneak off to movies without telling our managers and make out like teenagers falling for the first time."
-Flashback-
"Oh cmon Inhayaa, just a sec. There! No one's seeing us now. Okay?"
Inha shook her head in disbelief but let her smile resurface as the movie progressed and Hoseok wriggled in his seat. She placed her palm on his cheek, making him turn to face her. And pecked his cheek, making him smile the sweetest smile ever. Then, they were not the popular people the world knew them as. She was his and he was hers. They were just two youngsters, fallen in love.
At the end of the night just before returning back to their home, Inha excused herself for a second and personally thanked the owner of the theatre for making sure Hoseok's secret plan succeeded.
-flashback ends-
"Let's make it our home that we paint and get more colour on us then on the walls; Lets go to classy parties together and then ditch them, just so we can drink cheap wine out of the same bottle and giggle while we ruin expensive clothes in the bathtub. Let's switch the lights off to the bathroom every time we have fights and be petty about them. Jung Hoseok, let's get married. Because I want to be your one and only. And because I- truly, really, deeply, madly and undeniably... -Am in love with you."
Inha let the last words fall off her lips, and there was such silence, even the night would have been envious. At that moment, Hoseok had no clue what to say, he felt like he was failing everyone. And then, as if a shadowy tree on a midsummer afternoon, she smiled that ridiculously perfect and endearingly annoying smile. And he didn't know whether he wanted to hit on her or kiss her. So he opted for the former, because the fact that kissing this silly, beautiful and perfect idiot even came to mind, made him feel even more angry at her.
He pulled her to her feet in one swift motion, and kissed her like no tomorrow.
"Was that- Is that a yes?" Inha asked, pulling out for a second, her eyes glinting. Hobi took a step back before facing the ocean cove behind them. He cupped his palms around his lips and shouted as loudly as he could.
"I AM MARRYING THE KIM INHA!!!!"
"Yah! It took me an effort to get this place. Keep it low will you?" Jimin complained, making everyone look at him curiously. And Ivy explained, smiling shyly.
"This is too special for me, it's the place I first brought the four of us together. It's also the place Inha and Hobi met for the first time. It would have been kinda illegal to be here, but this time we're not ending up in jail. My husband bought it out."
Jimin shrugged, looking at his Ivy before looking at everyone else and saying unapologetically, "Well, what my wife wants, my wife gets."
"Cheesy bitches," Jungkook muttered glaring at Jimin and yelped in pain as his 'Jin hyungie' pinched his nipple.
