-Meanwhile-
"...than the last time. And it hurts, Min. It-"
"Hey! What are you-"
Inha cuts Hoseok off, placing her finger on his lips. He nods before taking her hand down and holding it even after she had turned back. She took one last peek at something, beyond the rooftop doors. Hoseok walked on a bit before trying to see what was happening. But before he could see what she was looking at, she pulled his hand, taking him away from the scenario. By the time they reached the backyard, the sky was pitch black.
"What's going on?" He asked once again, looking into her eyes.
"I- I don't know, I just-..." And then she realised whose presence she was in. "you!" she exclaimed as her mouth fell open.
"Yes, Hoseok" He confirmed with a little smile while raising an eyebrow.
"Y- you- I-" Inha stuttered trying to find the correct word to voice her thoughts but was failing miserably. She then bit her lip, looking at him before turning to run out. But she couldn't. Because Hoseok wasn't going to let her run this time. He held her wrist, and pulled her body into his. Her back to his chest and there she was locked in his strong arms.
And for once, she just wanted to melt in him. Not run from her emotions, her thoughts, her demons. But just stay here, like this. With him, forever with him. But of course, that was not going to happen. Ivy loved him too... And Inha had been too blind to see. How could she not have known? Her back was against his chest, making her back feel a bit warm.
"I hope you're not thinking that I was lying.. Earlier, Inha." She remained silent and let out a tired sigh before finally giving in. She leaned her head back, to place it on his shoulder. He raised one of his hands, caressing her hair.
"I do really feel for you. And have for a long time..." She hummed once again before letting out another sigh. It felt so good, it felt so much like... home. His bitter-sweet scent reminded her of her teenage days spent on fields. His warm breath on her neck reminded her of the warm vapours that rolled off of her hometown river. She turned in his embrace, to face him and looked at his eyes.
"Hobi I-"
And right at the moment, his phone rang. Inha looked down, signalling him to check. He let out a frustrated groan before letting her go and reaching for the goddamn phone.
Suga Hyungie calling...
He looked back at Inha, she was standing at the door watching the sky aflame with stars. He sighed before picking up the call and walking towards the swing they had in the backyard of the cottage-villa.
"Yeoboseyo Hyung," Hoseok raised a hand from his hip to rub his eyes, making Inha check the time.
11:10
"No hyung, I didn't sound irritated, I was just-.. Yes-"
"What? Right now? But-... No no thats fine we'll return right now... Its fine, you take care,"
"What's happening?" Inha asked, wrapping a shawl around her.
"Oh it's just- Suga hyung..." Hoseok replied, placing the phone back in the pocket and walking near to her. She hummed, eyeing his advances suspiciously from where she was, leaning against the wooden door frame. He took her, slowly pulling her towards himself. Inha walked towards him, as if caught in some kind of magnetic force. He placed a warm hand on the small of her back, urging her to come closer. Inha wondered what she was doing right now. And if she was drunk or maybe possessed. She stopped herself from giving him a smile and asked.
"What about him?" Instead of replying, Hoseok just leaned slowly, and cupped her cheeks lovingly. Then, with a sweet smile on both their faces, he left a lingering soft peck on her nose. Then pulled out, tracing her facial features to see if she was okay with it. Upon receiving none, he once again leaned it for another kiss. Though Inha was loving the feelings his touch left her with, she was in her mind enough to know they, or more precisely, she shouldn't be doing this when Ivy was, one in proximity and two, broken. So she stopped him, placing her hand on his toned chest, making him pout sadly.
"While we're here, he was going to handle the album stuff... But his shoulder's acting up and he's probably going to have to be admitted... And Namjoon is back home with his family; so..." Hoseok mumbled the last part.
"Do you think it hurts him a lot?" Inha asked, a worried frown on her face.
"Is that what you're worried about?" Hoseok asked with a smile on his face. He loved that she was worried about his bandmate who she wasn't even close with. Rather than that they're going to have to cut their hard earned trip short.
"Yeah of course I am! Let's go back, we'll come here some other time."
"We who?" He questioned, winning a stern look before she pushed him and started to walk out.
"Hey wait! At least tell me what you were saying!"
"When?" she asked without looking back.
"Before the call! Wait!"
Inha let a smile come to her lips before taking the turn to go to her room.
"I was saying 'Hobi-ssi, I'm sleepy. Good night.'"
"Why is she back to 'Hobi-ssi' now?" Hoseok muttered before walking to his room to pack.
-time skip-
"Hyung... Lets take a break here.." Jimin asks, unable to take the load of the secret he never wanted to keep. Hobi nods, understanding that something's wrong with the younger one. He always wondered how strong Jimin is, taking up emotions of himself while also carrying his soulmate's emotional baggage always with himself.
Hobi stopped the car, and Jimin got down, not even caring to get himself a jacket. Jimin gets down, taking a deep breath of the night air. The crescent moon was shining brightly, as if it was smiling at it's person. It was a chilly night but a few minutes without a jacket would not hurt him. Jimin rubs his chest, as if he was trying to put off the fire in his chest, his feelings topped up with his soulmate's feelings were heavy and burning him from the inside.
"You okay buddy?" Hobi asked, wondering why Jimin wanted to get down. "Wanna tell you something. Keep it a secret from everyone." he says and Hobi nods.
"Even Ivy?"
"Especially Ivy." Jimin nods, turning back to look at the car window where he only saw the moon's reflection.
"Uhm... putting it in simple words... we... kissed." Hobi's eyes shot open and he gasped.
"Ivy!?" Hobi asked in a hushed tone, happy for his brother. Hobi surely knew about Jimin having the hugest, biggest, fattest crush on their best friend. "Congratulations brother!!! I wish if I could tell the same if you didn't interrupt us." Hobi says, jokingly. Jimin threw a side eye at Hobi and he just laughed.
"So, how did you feel?" Hobi asked, and Jimin just shrugged. "I felt a spark.. Don't know about her tho-" he says, trying to hide the tears, and shoving off that part which hurt him to his core.
"Maybe she feels the same!" Hobi says, excitedly. No she doesn't.
"I'm too happy for you, Jiminie!!" Hobi shakes Jimin with his hand on his nape. That was Hobi's signature habit that every single person who knew him knew. Even his fans know that. Jimin squirmed under Hobi's hold and the older boy showed mercy.
Hobi pats on Jimin's back, being proud of his boy for finally taking a step to get his girl. Hobi's hand goes back to caress the favourite thing about Jimin, that was his moon tattoo. The crescent moon resting on his back always attracted Hobi and it almost made him get it tattooed, but his fear of needles won and he dropped that plan and never even reconsidered it.
But soon, Hobi's eyebrows smashed together and he reached out for his phone to turn on the flash. He was so sure that the dark was deceiving his eyes. But to his horror, even the flashlight couldn't find what Hobi was looking for.
"What's wrong, hyung?" Jimin asked when he felt Hobi rubbing his nape, as if he was trying to get the skin off it.
"Your mark, Min..."
"What about it?"
"It's gone..."
