Author's pov_

"Yah! What took you so long?" Taehyung said as soon as he saw the two girls walking towards the car. He pulled Ivys' bag and she smiled brightly at him. The elder boy nodded at her before turning his attention back to Inha.

"You cannot understand the girl's problem. Do you know the pain when you don't find your matching earrings!?" Inha said back, making Taehyung roll his eyes. It was still dark outside but slowly, the chirping of birds was becoming audible.

"If mom scolds me, I swear-"

"Now who is getting us late huh?" Inha said, and with that Taehyung stepped on the gas and speeded towards the city.

"How are you my baby!?" Mrs. Kim hugged Ivy as soon as she opened the door.

"Mom... we are literally right here.." Inha said, grabbing Mrs.Kim's attention.

"Vy is my real daughter. I'm sure she's the one who pulled you both here." Mrs. Kim winked towards ivy and the young girl did the same.

"I'm so done with you guys." Taehyung growled and tried walking inside the house. But even before he could move, Mrs.Kim hugged him close.

"I missed you, my son. You grew a lot!" Taehyung chuckled at that, and put an arm out for Inha to join the hug.

Inha ran into them like a little rabbit running for carrots. Soon after, the three of them entered the room only to see Ivy sitting on a couch with a dead serious expression on her face. Mr. Kim sat beside her with an equally serious look. The newcomers exchanged a look and shrugged. Mrs. Kim looked at her husband excitedly.

"Yeobo, about what I was sa-"

"Shh see, Ivy's telling me something really important," He cut her off.

Taehyung and Inha looked extremely doubtful about that. Anyways, they both took their bags and went inside their rooms. Exiting the room, both the kids joined their family in the living room.

"Well you know, I went to this wedding and just like always, my relatives started poking me again. And said that I'm next."

Mr. and Mrs. Kim rolled their eyes. And Ivy sighed. Inha and Taehyung shared a look knowing all too well how much their parents loved talking to Ivy. Ivy, was a recountare. The best storyteller in their town.

"It'd be disappointing if you didn't say anything good to them, Vi."

"That's the case, see? Later that month we all had to go to a funeral and I remembered that so I started poking them too."

Mrs. Kim sniggered as if it was a funny joke while Mr. Kim gasped.

"Vi! That's not how we brought you up!" He said shocked before asking in a small voice, "Did you also tell them they're next?"

Ivy just shrugged with a grin on her face. Taehyung stood up abruptly, apparently being done with Ivy's 'bullshit' as he had whispered earlier to Inha. Inha made to go behind him as Ivy followed their lead. They entered the kitchen all nodding before starting to go through different cabinets to find snacks.

"You haven't eaten?"

"Um.. We might not have," Taehyung replied, scratching the back of his neck.

"You might not have or, you did?"

"We might not have had." He replied looking thoroughly confused.

"What's wrong with you?" Inha asked in a hushed tone as their mom shook her head.

"Come on then, take your seats. We'll cook together like we used to."

A few happy days later_

"Yes yes mom, I'll take care of her... Yeah dad I know, I know.. Okay, no late night drives, no late night alcohol."

"No, I won't go anywhere without telling Oppa... Okay I'll call regularly... Yes I'll finish the kimchi."

"Yes I'll let you know if Inha and Oppa step out of the line... No, I will not let them throw away your kimchi... Yep I wont let them bully me!"

Finally after half an hour of nagging, the trio made themselves comfortable in the car and Tae put them in drive mode.

"Bye!!!" They waved until the house and its occupants vanished from their eye-sight.

"Pheww. I feel sooo much better!!" Inha exclaimed, making Ivy and Tae nod in support.

And then, she and Tae went on babbling about how they were gonna tease Jimin and Jin for not being able to come with them. Meanwhile, Ivy looked out of the window, getting lost in the scenery that ran past. The mountains, the rivers, the yards and yards of rice farms. It smelled amazing, and as it was still early morning, the chirping of birds mixed with the lo-fi music Tae was playing... The ambience was magical. And there was no other way Ivy could have described how peaceful she felt in the moment. She was beyond thankful that she had come here.

But beauty and peace have a way of making the ghosts of our past to haunt us.

[Flashbacks]

"Now that my favourite child is here, I have sizzling hot gossips." Mrs. Kim says, ushering Ivy to follow her. Ivy walks to the kitchen counter where Mrs. Kim was mixing kimchi for the kids to take back with them.

"Get those boxes here." She instructs and Ivy salutes dramatically before moving to help her.

"You know, yesterday I was speaking to the lady next door. Her son fell in love with a girl who has the same sign." Ivy gasps audibly.

They usually cannot spend their life together, as they either lack emotions or physical feelings. And if a person is not with their soulmate for long, the other soulmate could die. Everyone knew that, but there are still some people who claim that this is just an 'old' myth.

"I know right. She told me that she already visited the Shaman with her son and her future daughter in law. The shaman said that the marriage would be incomplete and they could face issues in the early marriage stage." Ivy nods, not liking how it actually turned out to be.

"But what if they really loved each other and were ready to face any challenges?" she asked, while Mrs. Kim mixed the kimchi well. She motions towards Ivy to step forwards so that she could feed her a piece of the marinated cabbage.

"Oh, Vy! You know that dad and I both are suns right?" Ivy shook her head. Noone told her!

"What! You dont know about it? We're still famous in our university. We were called the Sunny Kims." Mrs Kim explained blushing a bit. And just as Ivy was about to say how it was unfair that no one told her. Mr. Kim entered the kitchen placing grocery bags on the counter.

"Did I just hear 'Sunny Kims'?" he asked, looking behind him as Inha and Tae entered too. They were holding big bags filled to the brink with food and snacks.

Mrs. Kim looked down, her cheeks redder than the kimchi sauce, as if trying to avoid everyone in the room. Mr. Kim laughed loudly at his wife before leaving the room to clear up the backyard dining table.

"Yah!! How come you both never told me about this???" she complained just as Tae sneered. And Inha gasped.

"Mom! How come we have to carry all these bags while she gets to stuff her face with food? Wahh Am I really adopted?!"

[Flashback ends]

As she remembered it, a smile passed on Ivy's face. She closed her eyes, thinking about the couple who had the same sign. She let her mind wander around the idea of being in love with someone with the same sign as her. With the smile still lingering on her lips, she imagined a face. A man with a beautiful smile came to her mind. He was wearing his favourite yellow hoodie... And a black jeans. God, did he love that hoodie..

She let a chuckle pass through her and opened her eyes with a sigh. Her eyes then latched onto Inha and Tae's. Her smile dropped in that instance as she realised they had been looking at her for all this while. She nervously "hehe-d" and they shared a look with each other before bursting out laughing at her.

"M- main character era huh?" Tae managed to say through their heavy laughter, Ivy closed her eyes and tried to slide down the seat to hide her embarrassed face.

"You saw the chuckle?" Inha asked her brother, whipping her eyes. She looked back at Ivy before starting to laugh again. Taehyung grinned after winking at his sister. It was going to be their little secret. Their own little type of blackmail if they ever did need one. The secret that Ivy would have absolutely hated.

That they had clicked a picture of the dreaming girl.
