*Hey guys. I know this is a late chapter. I have been trying to figure out how to do this chapter. That and I was stuck on writes block. Anyways, to the story. Enjoy.*

Derek's mouth was going up and down. He still trying to grasp what's going, what was happening. The one thing that he didn't expect to happen. Yet, it has happened. Right in front of his eyes.

Neira turning to a dragon.

He wasn't able to find his voice to speak, as it was currently somewhere in his foot. All of these things that happened in only a few days. From  the cradle coming from the depths of the lake, to when a half human/half dragon Neira awakening, to gedëy ignasia appearing on his palm, to Neira turning  into a dragon. Everything that has happened has changed his life, which he hasn't fully noticed, has changed forever. Another thing he wasn't expecting was to hear a voice in his head. A female voice.

"Derek."

He looked around, trying to figure out where the voice came from.

"Who said that?"

"Behind you."

He turned around and looked. He continued to look around. All he could see was the dragon, the lake, and the woods behind the lake.

"Where?"

The dragon snorted.

"Up here."

Derek looked up at the head dragon. He stuttered a little as he spoke. "N-Neira? Is that you?"

The dragon nodded. "Yes. I have been trying to get your attention for the past ten minutes. What happened? Why am I a dragon?" Derek could only shake his head. "I don't know. But I have a feeling that when the gedwëy ignasia appeared on my hand and you awoken, the dragon side of you awoken and you ended up turning into a dragon."

She nodded. As turned her head to examine her body, he took the time to examine her as well. Sitting on her hind legs, she was about twenty five feet tall. He could only imagine how long she was.

As though answering his unbeknownst question, she stood up on all fours, which made her look taller. From the head to the tip of her tail, she was about thirty-five feet long. She opened her white as snow bat-like wings, which only made her look bigger. He noticed that her scales were white, like her body was in her human form. Although her wings were huge, she was slender and lithe, like a cat. Her eyes were the same color as her eyes was in her beautiful, though they looked different. They were oval shaped. Her pupils were slighly oval as well. Like that of a cat. She let's a flames so white it looked like energy. All in all, she was a beautiful dragon. He could feel her in his thoughts.

"How do I change back into my human form?" Derek only shook his head. "I don't know." This only made her panic. She let out a sound that sounded like a whimper.

"How do I change back? Help me." She asked in his head. He only shook his head. "I don't know how. Maybe you should imagine yourself as your human/dragon form."

She nodded her big head and closed her eyes. She tried to focus on her human-like form. She focused on her hair and her skin. Slowly her dragon form began to shrink and shrink. Her wings began to get smaller as her tail got smaller. Also her hair began to come back.

A couple of minutes later, Neira was in her human form, crouched on all fours. She slowly stood up and walked to the edge of the lake. She then began evaluating herself to make sure she was indeed her. She smiled and turned around.

"I'm back to normal." She jumped up happily as Derek walked towards her. He just nodded and stared at her. He felt kinda elated that she was happy. She continued to jump around until she stopped and stood there. He looked at her and noticed that she had a look of confusion on her face.

"What's wrong Neira?"

"I don't know. Who have thought that I would have a dragon form. But I wonder is that if the gedwëy ignasia awoken the dragon form from within me, what else is there? What else is hidden with me that I don't know of? And what would've happened if I didn't have or found a Rider? What would've happened with my dragon form?"

He put his hand to his head and rubbed the back of it. "I don't know. But for certain, it did happened. We can only try to find out what happened. If anything, we may need to find someone who could explain this to us. But the question is who? I don't know."

He turns around looks at the tent and the forest that was behind it. Then he looked up at the little bit of sky that the border of the forest around the lake allowed to reveal. Then he turn back to Neira and sighed. "For now, I think it's best that we should pack up camp and head home. We figure out all of this later."

She nodded as he turned around and headed back to the small campsite. She turn around and just stared out over the lake. She looked down and stared at her hand as she opened closed her scaly hand, looking at her claws.

"I believe it's much more than this." She whispered before turning around and headed towards the small campsite. She helped him pack what small things he came to camp with, along with what's left of the deer carcass. As she was packing the supplies he packed the the tent. A couple of minutes later, they were ready. He put on the backpack as Neira picked up the meat and carried it.

Just as they were getting ready to leave, they heard a rustling in the bushes near the tree line. They turn their heads towards the bush. Neira, on instinct, got in a crouch and extended her claws as Derek just stared. "Who's out there? Show yourself." They got a response, just one they weren't expecting.

Stepping out of the woods, coming towards them slowly, was Griger. Derek realized very quickly that it was the same Griger that he ran into while hunting. He instantly took out a knife, knowing it won't help much if at all. Neira stayed crouched with her claws extended. Still, the Griger continued to advance slowly.

As the Griger got to only a few feet from them, it stopped and sat down. It just stared at Neira and Derek. Neira stood up and retracted her claws. She could sense no malice or no threatening posture from the creature. She actually sensed peace and serenity. As though this creature was telling them that it means them no harm. She reached up and grabbed Derek's arm, which held the knife.

"I don't think it means us no harm. I don't sense no hostility from him." As to prove her words, the Griger did somthing they weren't expecting. It bowed it's head. Bowing it towards Neira.

It kept it's head bowed. Neira sensed that it was honest. She also sensed that it was waiting for something. 'Does it want me to now back to it?' She asked herself. She just nodded and bowed to the creature. As she did, the Griger lifted it's head and approached slowly.

She lifted her head and watched as it bowed. She on instinct lifted her head. As she did, the Griger rubbed it's head on her open palm. Then it began purring, which caused her to smile and giggle. "For a big guy, he's adorable."

Derek sheath his knife and smiled at the scene. "It looks like you have a new friend Neira. What would you like to do?" She just shrugged. "Why don't we just ask him?" She looked down and petted the griger's head.

"Hey big guy. Do you wanted to come with us?"

Derek knew that Grigers were very intelligent, but he wasn't expecting that it would answer or reply to her. The Griger did exactly that by nodding it's large head. She smiles. "Well, that settles that. Welcome to our little group, Leo." At this, Derek raises his eyebrow. "Leo?" She nods.

"Yes leo. Leo is a nice name. Don't you think so, Leo?" Leo nodded his head. She just smiled again, which causes Derek to sigh. "That settles that. Now, let's get going, Neira and Leo."

With that, Derek turned around and began walking forward, with Neira and Leo following him. He and Leo continued walking into the forest. However, Neira stopped at the boundary line. She turned around looked at the lake. The lake that has been her home for so long. She took one last look at it, knowing that she may never see it again. A few seconds later, she turned around and entered the forest, following Derek and Leo into a world she has never known about.
