I held my hand in my lap, hidden under my other one so no one would be able to see the three marks on it. James was talking to Stein a few beds down, while I sat in the bed next to the window. Stein had made my other friends go outside, but I saw the door open and Soul walked in. Stein gave him a look, but the red eyes boy walked passed him to me.

"Hey." He said, his eyes worried. "Everyone wanted to bring this to you." He said, holding out a little bag. "Wait till you get back to your room to open it." He said, smiling. I nodded and hugged him. He grinned. "So we need to get together tomorrow morning again." He said, standing and I nodded, smiling back at him. He left a moment later and I heard the door click from across the big infirmary room telling me he had left.

The window clicked, and I looked over to it and saw Black Star climbing through, holding a finger over his lips to tell me to be quiet. Well, it wasn't as if I could tell Stein he was here without walking over to him. "Hello." Black Star said, grinning at me as he hung halfway through the window that was at least ten stories up.

"Just making sure that you're okay." He said. "Just wanted to see you with my own eyes." He said. "And it seems that you're okay." He said, smiling. After a moment, he pulled something from his pocket. "Oh! I almost forgot." He said, handing me something black and white. "Nora wanted met o give this to you." He said.

I looked at the thing in my hand, and saw that it was a dog collar. I realized that we hadn't made one for Skye, but this one had his name on a tag connected to the collar. I smiled at Black Star, making him grin. I looked backwards, making sure that the curtain around my bed was closed, and then leaned in and kissed Black Star lightly on the lips.

I felt guilt run into me as he grinned and started moving out of the window and closing it. I was starting to date the both of them, and that technically wasn't wrong, but I still felt incredibly guilty for some reason. I sighed with frustration. But I liked the two of them a great deal. Was it wrong? I stuffed the pillow onto my face, squeezing my eyes shut. I would just wait, and see who I liked better? No. That also felt wrong. I would just see what happened and pay for the consequences later.

"(Y/n)." Stein said, and I pulled the pillow off of my face and sat up, looking to him. James wasn't there, so I figured that he had gone to do something else. Basically, Stein had sent him away so he wouldn't hear what he was about to tell me.

Stein sat on the edge of my bed, looking at my hand clutched in my other hand. He reached forward, telling me silently to give him my hand. I tentatively reached forward and gave it to him. He seemed to inspect the lines carefully, and then he let go of my hand, standing.

He walked to his counted, and filled a bottle with a good amount of little red and white pills. "These will dampen your wavelength temporarily." He said, walking to me with a roll of gauze as well. Held out his hand for mine, and I reached my right hand forward, the three black lines very noticeable. He wrapped my hand in the gauze. "I want you to wrap your hand." He said. "I don't know what's happening to you yet, so just take these once in the morning and at night. Also, wrap your hand."

I wondered why he would lie to me? He knew what was going on. He had told Mari something. Maybe she would tell me? I nodded to him, and he helped me up, walking me to the door. "I think that Liz and Patti were going to take you to get some clothes once they finished their afternoon class. You and James can pass on the next few afternoon classes. James left with a fever, so I sent him to get some sleep." He said.

James had a fever? What was happening?

I left the infirmary, and walked down the halls that were empty now because of the afternoon classes, until I came to the student dorms. I found mine and opened the door with my key. I would go over to James and cook him something later for dinner.

When I walked in, I saw Skye sleeping on the couch, and a tall boy with black hair cleaning. Was it... Kid? He turned around as I closed the door and just looked around at how clean my apartment was.

"Hey." Kid said. "I didn't have anything else to do, so I figured I'd clean your apartment." He said. I decided not to wonder how he'd gotten into my apartment in the first place, and hung my jacket up on the hook next to the door. The apartment had already been clean, but now it was spotless. I smiled at him coming over and sitting on the couch next to Skye. The puppy laid his head on my lap, wagging his tail a little.

"I didn't know that you had a dog." Kid said, coming and sitting next to me. "He likes me though." He said, and Skye looked up at Kid with big round blue eyes. Kid reached forward, brushing my arm with his fingers as he began to pet Skye. The puppy closed his eyes and sighed with pleasure.

Kid smiled I little, and I watched his lips. He looked up at me, and our eyes locked. He reached forward, taking my chin with his fingertips. "(Y/n)..." he said. My cheeks began to heat up as he looked into my eyes with his golden ones.

"I know about you and Soul, and you and Black Star." He said, his eyes flitting around my face. "But I don't care for some reason." He said, his eyebrows moving together to tell me he was confused.

He leaned in and I felt his lips touch mine. My eyes were wide, but I didn't pull away from him. What was wrong with me? After a moment, I closed my eyes my lips feeling hot along with my chest. What was I doing?

I didn't care though. I moved my hand up to his cheek, and felt his soft warm skin. His hair fluttered again my hand, and I sighed a little as he pulled away. There was a slight smile on Kid's face, and he looked into my eyes. He moved a strand of my hair behind my ear. "I like you." He said.

A few hours later, after Kid had left, I had silently screamed into a pillow, and scrolled on my phone for hours to find something to make for James, there was a nock on the door and I walked to it and opened it, seeing Liz, Patti, Tsubaki, and Maka all standing there. Maka had her nose in a book, and Tsubaki was trying to get her to put it down.

"(Y/n)!" Patti said, hugging me. "We're so happy that you're okay!" she said.

"Chill out Patti." Liz said, her hand on her hip. She smiled at me, holding a thumbs up. "So are we going shopping or what?" she said. I nodded quickly and beckoned them inside.

"Nice apartment!" Tsubaki said, looking around.

"Oh my goodness." Liz said, seeing Skye sitting on the couch and wagging his tail. "You have a dog now?!" she said, running over to the dog, who barked once and jumped up onto her. The three other girl, even Maka who left her book temporarily, went to Skye and pet him.

Maka put her book in her bag and smiled at me. "Just reading over some school stuff." She said as Skye jumped up onto her and licked her face. She laughed and I smiled.

I went to the kitchen and got Skye's leash and jacket. I got the little badge that Azure had given me to clip to Skye's collar when we went somewhere to show people that he was a service dog so we didn't get in trouble. I went to Skye and put his little black jacket on him as my four friends gushed over him. I laughed silently, smiling.

I clipped the badge and Skye's leash onto him and nodded to the girls after getting my jacket and putting my phone into one of the deep inside pockets in the inner lining.

"Let's go!" Liz said.
