Spilled Coffee
~Soul’s p.o.v~
We walked along the streets of Death City after loosing _____ and Asuka. “We should just go back.” I said, beginning to feel tired.
“You’re going to give up that easy!?” Black Star said, crossing his arms. “The Great and Powerful Black Star never gives up! Are you craaaazzzzzzyyyy!?” he said. He turned to Kid. “Now Kid! Track down their souls and-“
But Kid wasn’t there. “What?” I said, looking around for him. Then I saw a little piece of paper flutter down to the stones of the streets, Kid’s neat handwriting on it.
Sorry guys. I’m going to look for _____ alone from now on. Good luck.
DTK
It said. I held it in my hand, starring at it. “You have to be kidding me. How the hell are we going to find ____?”
There was another flutter of paper and I turned. Black Star was gone, replaced by a large piece of paper with his messy handwriting on it, reading:
What do you mean, we?
It said, signed with his autograph. I tore up the paper. “Really!” I grumbled. They both left me?! That’s so uncool.” I said.
I turned and walked across the street to a little coffee shop that I liked. I wasn’t looking where I was going and I bumped into a girl as she walked out of the shop. He coffee spilled across my shirt and I looked down at it for a second, my hands full after catching her.
“I’m s-sorry!” she said, standing up.
The hot coffee started burning me, but I didn’t care. “It’s okay.” I said, trying to wring some of it out of my shirt. I stopped and looked at the girl and saw that it was…
“____?!” I said, my face beginning to heat up. “I’m sorry about your coffee!” I said, mentally slapping myself while trying to play it off cool.
She was blushing hard as Asuka came out of the shop, her face a little confused as she saw me. “Soul? What are you doing here?” she asked, her tone accusatory.
I bristled. “This is a public area.” I said, trying to stop ____ from trying to apologize.
Asuka raised an eyebrow at me. “Let’s go ____.” She said, pulling at _____.
I starred after the two, getting a bad feeling about Asuka. “I don’t like her…” I said, starting to walk home. When I got there, Maka yelled at me for ruining the shirt she had got me for Christmas.
