I shared a look with Beckham before dashing over to where Link was just moments ago. Alyrica was silently staring at the ground he had been standing on, her eyes wide. Mai and Mason had no idea what was going on- it seemed they hadn't seen Daeva at all.

"Wh- who was that?" Alyrica stuttered, unable to believe her eyes. I placed a hand on her shoulder.

"That's Daeva, and Link's in danger." I explained. Alyrica shoved me away from her- right, she wasn't my friend in this dimension.

"No, he can't be! This is all just a trick, isn't it? To get us thinking he'd be safer at home with you? Well, it's not working! I want my boyfriend back!"

"Alyrica, this isn't a trick. Believe me, I'm worried about Link too-"

"Shut up! Give him back!" she demanded, indignantly. Mason walked up to us and sighed.

"Lyric, I think she's telling the truth," he said. I looked at him in confusion, and he shrugged.

"Sorry, I can kinda... Get in people's minds." So not only can he control my mind, he can... Read my mind?

"So... Link is really in danger?" Alyrica asked, dumbfounded. I nodded, tearing up a little. Link might hate me in this dimension, but he was still my brother. And if he died in this dimension... I felt a hand on my arm, bringing me back to reality. Beckham.

"Laelyn, we have to find Daeva. Now," he said. "We can't wait anymore." I shook my head.

"No, Beck, we need a plan! We can't just... Burst into wherever she's hiding and make her angry, what if she... What if Link-"

"Laelyn, calm down. We're going to figure this out!" Beck yelled, shaking my shoulders. "Link is going to be okay, I promise. I won't let you lose him."

"Wait, he really means that much to you?" Mason asked. Alyrica looked up at me. I nodded.

"I love him, he's my brother."

"But you hate each other."

"Okay, I know you didn't believe me the last time I said this... But I'm not from your world, Lyric. In my world, Link is my best friend. And I don't care if he hates my guts here, I won't let him get hurt." I looked at the ground. Alyrica looked at Mason and he nodded.

"Then I guess we're on the same side." Alyrica said.

"Wait, what?"

"We both want to save Link, and if you two are going to defeat this... Daeva, then I'm going with you," she demanded. I looked up at Beckham. He nodded.

"We need people, Laelyn. We can't turn her down."

"Yeah, I know... But what about everyone else? We need more than one person." I sighed heavily. "And what do you even do?" I asked Alyrica.

"Excuse me?"

"What's your magic potential?" Beckham clarified.

"Oh... I shape shift," she explained, "Into a wolf."

"So you're a werewolf?" I asked. She glared at me.

"No. And if you call me that again, I'll kill you," she said. "I have full control over my transformation and I still have my own mind. This is my magic potential, werewolves are cursed."

"Duly noted."

"Now, where are we going?" she wondered.

"We don't even know where Daeva is," Beckham laughed. Mai walked up to us and finally spoke.

"So you want us to follow you, and you don't even know where this freak took Link?" she asked, rolling her eyes. "Aren't you organized."

"Wait, you're all coming along?" I questioned. They all nodded, and I raised my eyebrows approvingly. "Well alrighty then."

"We still need some help," Beck said. "We should probably wait a day or two, to ask everyone else, too." I nodded, and Alyrica looked at me like I was crazy.

"Everyone else? Who else is coming? And we can't wait two days, Link could die in that time!" she yelled. "Are you insane?"

"Alyrica, Daeva is a demon. We need more help."

"She's a what?"

"A demon. Did we forget to mention that?" Beck said sarcastically. Mai rolled her eyes again.

"Yeah, you did," she said.

"Well, we should start getting help then." Mason suggested. I nodded.

"We might need you to help us with that, it's hard to get people to believe us unless they see it first hand..."

"Sure," Mason said, "Anything to get Link back." They must be pretty close.

"Let's go get an army!" Beck said, happily.

"If you call us that again, I'll kill you." Alyrica laughed, and we turned to walk out of the alley.

Alrighty guys. So school started last Tuesday, and I'm SOOO busy! Like even more busy than I expected to be. So I promise, I'm trying my best to keep my updating schedule! But usually I have at least two chapters written in advance and this time I only have one and haven't gotten to write since Tuesday morning. My whole problem is that I don't want time pressure to change the quality of my writing, so if I don't stay on track as much lately, just know it's because I want to make this story good for you guys!!! And I am soooo happy I have over 400 reads now, like oh my that's amazing ^_^ Plus, I was writing "Chapter 21" at the top of the chapter and thinking... Woah. This started off as a dream, literally, that my friend told me to write down. And now I'm up to 21 published chapters, and over 400 reads! I'm so proud of this story, guys. Does that sound narcissistic? I don't even care- I'm not proud of too many things, but this story is so important to me, and I'm so glad I have the opportunity to share it with you!

Alright past all that stuff, how do you guys feel about Alyrica, Mai and Mason now? And I would love love loooove to hear any predictions you might have!!! Okay, I'll stop talking now(finally XD), love you guys!
