It was a two day time skip from last chapter, Arthur recently got a job for a babysitting company, and also a part time job as a proofreader for a popular company in new york. Usually for a proofreader he would need a bachelors in english or in marketing but since they were short on staff and it's only part time not full time.

Today Arthur had a break and had no one to spend the day with. Usually he'd be okay with being alone, honestly he was use to it in england his brothers would be at school or work. The only times he only went out it would be for groceries or work but for some reason here in The United States everything was different. He had friends, he had a family.

For once in his life being lonely felt strange, and new.

And he hates it. But loves it at the same time. This new feeling.

Arthur got up from his seat and went to get his computer, he wanted to watch something, well most especially Alfred.

That sounded weird, What he meant is Alfred's Youtube channel. He wanted to see what it's about. He wanted to see the birthday video.

Once he got to Alfred's youtube channel he looked at his content, playlist filled with game plays one did peak his interest it was filled with music he liked and with videos he liked. There was some music that was just instrumental it's probably for his videos and some normal music videos with a mixture of popular and unpopular artist, there was a variety of genres from alternative to indie to rap. He saw there was some of the music he recommended him, and that made him smile.

He gets out of the playlist to see the rest, there are videos such as monthly vlogs, a few challenges with his friends and his brother some monthly QnA's and the main subject gaming videos. And there it was the most popular video right now of his "A birthday surprise I never expected- Month 48 Jul,2019"

The video started of with some of the city from the car and little slow mo clips from the car ride. The video was edited to look brighter and nicer. The background music was Kygo song "Happy birthday" ft, John Legend. Very beautiful song and a good choice; in the moment where the song says "feel my heart beating" it smoothly transitions to point at the body that would be Alfred in his bed still not awake. The camera must be positions on the nightstand from what the shot looks to be taken from. Arthur sees Al grab his phone from still in bed look at it the put it back on the bed side. He stuffs his face in his pillow before getting up. "His alarm must have rang." Arthur thought "He looks so tiered look at that bed head." he laughs a little.

Alfred gets up from the bed and off screen. The video transitions from the bedroom to the bathroom in the bedroom. It's a nice bathroom. Alfred splashes water on his face and pats his face with a soft towel. He then brushes his teeth and puts on a face cream. By when he's finished the song is as well , and then transitions back into his bedroom with him holding camera.

He had no shirt and only dark grey gym shorts. "Good mornin, its... wait" the video does one of those static things you see on older tv when something goes wrong then it was back to normal. "Its 9:56 am, and today it is a very, very, VeRy important day it's the 4th of July!" Confetti comes out from the corner of the video, Arthur laugh softly.

Then the doorbell rang oh that was him! Alfred looked at the camera confused he walked out of his room to hear his laughter Alfred puts a soft face and his face relaxes into a soft smile. Arthur blushes at the sight of knowing Alfed looked at him like that. There is more love in that look then Jesse has ever looed at him during sex.

Arthur stop. Don't compare Alfred to Jesse.

But Alfred is great. So much better than Jesse has ever been in the span of 7 months.

Stop.

Arthur stops watching the video and puts his laptop to his side. His face was flushed he didn't know if it was from anger or.... No. That is impossible. Arthur get yourself together, if you date someone they'll end up just like Jesse.

He sniffles his nose his getting slightly clogged and hot. Frustration builds up inside him. He grabs his phone to call someone but he realized everyone is busy today. Doesn't mean he shouldn't try. He tries to call his older brothers but there was only voicemail. He then tries Francis but got the same result.

He doesn't want to call him. He doesnt was to call the last person on his phone he hasn't called. He doesn't want this to be a cliche lined up by the universe. Fate doesn't exist. It is a made up excuse to use for things that happen due to couicedene.

Hit the green button Arthur.

Ring, ring, ring,

"Sorry this is Alfred if you got this I'm probably busy or off my phone right now. Call back la-" the dial ended.

Oh... hah that's just proof that fate doesn't exist. Yet... he wanted to hear his voice not just from some stupid phone.

Not just from some stupid dial.

Arthur cries more. He buries his face into his joggers and wraps his arms around his legs feeling the fabric of the pants on bare chest.
