Sophie was sitting down writing her geography note she hadn't finished earlier when Cathie came in the class and sat beside her.

Cathie and Sophie were not on good terms anymore since their disagreement and Sophie wasn't sure if their friendship had broken beyond repairs or if it could be mended and what she needed was her best friend back and she prayed Cathie wanted that too.

Sophie decided she had to try mending it but before she had any opportunity to talk, Cathie turned.

"Hi," Cathie said smiling and looking at Sophie.

"Hi," Sophie replied happy Cathie had talked first.

"How have you been?" Cathie asked Sophie not knowing where to start from.

"Fine," she said trying not to sound hostile but failing.

"Can we talk?" Cathie asked sheepishly.

"Why?" she blurted out.

Cathie surprised knew Sophie wanted to play the victim that had been hurt, she decided to play along,"so we could catch up on old times."

"There is nothing to catch up on," immediately those words were uttered, she wished she could take them back.

"Oh,I'm  sorry," Cathie said clearly disappointed standing up to leave.

Sophie knew it was now or never, the ball was in her court if she wanted her friend back she had better do something quick, sensible and now.

Instinctively, she held Cathie's hand and looked into her eyes smiled and said "I'm  sorry, could we talk, please?"

"Yes, please," Cathie said happy, for some minutes she was scared Sophie would have let her go but when Sophie held her hand the hope she had that they would reconcile rose up again.

"I'm  sorry," Sophie said looking at the floor.

"No, I'm the one sorry I ......."

"No, your wrong. I'm  the one acting like the big baby," Sophie said sniffing.

"Your not I'm the one at fault because I was the one who started shouting first," Cathie said
disagreeing with Sophie.

"Even though, I was the one who hung up and started shouting. Like right now, when you wanted to talk I acted like a brat and I'm  sorry," Sophie said apologizing profusely.

"It's okay, we're both at the receiving end, so we're both wrong. I'm  sorry, besty," Cathie said hugging Sophie.

"Thanks."

"So what's up?" Cathie asked.

"Nothing much!"

"What about Francis I haven't talked to him since the day we quarrelled," she asked goggling.

"He's okay and unluckily for me I didn't chase him away, because he's still with me. I regret saying what I said that made us quarrel but it brought us closer," Sophie prattled happily.

"I'm so glad," Cathie said clapping.

"And guess what?"

"What?"

"I told him I loved him and I'm  so relieved."

"Oh, my gosh! Thank God, I promise you the guy won't break your heart, if he does I'm  gonna give him a slap that will rock his world."

"If he does, I will kill him. I can't but feel scared."

"You should be, love is a risky and scary feeling."

"Was that suppose to make me feel better?"

"I guess. I'm  sorry I just suck in comforting people, bear with me."

Laughing,"no problem, thanks for everything, got to go." Sophie said leaving the class as the bell rang for dismissal.

******

I know this story sucks and it's best if I stop writing, what do you think?

Well, someone told me yesterday that she didn't know where I was taking her to in the story, well the story is talking about a girl who was raped by her father, which made her scared of guys and not trust anybody.

Too be honest I don't know where this story is heading to but let watch and see, right?

Sorry this is short.
