Today was the best day for the students of Kelly highschool because today was the day when students had their parents and loved ones visit and bring provisions for them, it was mostly Sophie's favorite day because that day she was going to see her sister and Mamy.

But today was different, earlier today Mamy called the school and told Sophie that Mandy caught the flu and she couldn't leave the house with them alone.

She was going to visit when Mandy was well, so today Sophie wasn't expecting anyone.

"My Mamy isn't coming today that means I won't eat jellof rice with fried chicken," Sophie said grumbling to Emma.

"Don't feel bad, don't worry my parents are coming. I will give you some of my jellof rice and chicken," Emma told Sophie playfully dragging her cheeks.

"Sophie, someone is here for you," a classmate of Sophie told her immediately she entered the room.

"Me? Who is that?"

"Your dad."

"That's impossible, maybe it's my uncle. I think Mamy told him to come visit."

"Nope, I saw him downstairs and he said to tell Sophie that her dad is here," she said shrugging.

"But that's impossible."

"Well maybe Mamy told him to surprise you," Emma said puzzled.

"Trust me,Mamy will never tell him to surprise me, she doesn't even like him and if she knew he was gonna visit, she'll try anything and I mean anything to stop him. If she can't then she will follow him. It can't be him."

"Hey, calm down. Let me go check," Emma said patting Sophie at her back and leaving.

'Oh God! Please don't let him be the one.'

"Girl, there's a man out there with a lady but he doesn't resemble any of your uncle's and you know I have seen almost all your uncle's. Why not check yourself?"

"Okay," Sophie said going outside.

'He's the one, what the hell are they doing in my school?' Sophie mentally shouted.

"Is he the one?" Emma said startling Sophie.

"Jesus!" Sophie shouted startled. "Did you all plan to kill me by popping up suddenly today?"

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. But are they the one?"

"Yes, what are they doing, no let me rephrase that, what is he doing in my school, gosh,why did he just suddenly decide to pop up in my life today?" Sophie said shaking and at the verge of tears.

"Come here darling, everything is going to be okay, I promise," Emma said hugging her.

"I don't know what to do."

"Go out there and show him he hasn't broken you."

"I guess your right, okay, gotta go," she said sighing.

"Hey, don't act tough towards me, be yourself when you're with me, okay?" Emma said looking intently at Sophie.

"I'm sorry but I have to go."

"Yep, go ahead," Emma said winking at her.

'You can handle it just calm down, don't let him see that your weak,it will make him happy. Why the fuck has he come to spoil the life you have here. What the fuck is wrong with him, but your gonna show him he isn't welcomed in your life.'

"Hey, sweetie do you know I've been sitting here for the past twenty minutes?" Sophie's dad asked.

"What are you doing here?"

"That isn't the way to talk to someone who left everything he had to do and come see you especially your father," Sophie's stepsister scolded her.

"Put your mouth where it belongs cause no one is talking to you," Sophie retorted.

"How dare you? Is like you don't know how to talk to someone older than you?"

"Girls, girls,calm down. I didn't come all the way here just to listen to you girls quarrel," said Sophie's dad.

"Then why are you here?" Sophie asked.

Chuckling,"to see you of course, isn't dads allowed to visit their children?"

"Your not my dad."

"That hurts. If am not your dad then who is?"

"My uncles are my dad, those who are always with me, those who make sure I am well taking care of, are my dad."

"But they didn't give birth to you, I did," Sophie's dad said annoyed.

"My dad is dead,he died with my mom, I don't know you," Sophie whispered loud enough for him to her.

"How dare you? You little sl........"

"Don't make a scene here, you might not care of your reputation here but I care of mine. You know the way out," Sophie said smirking and walking out.

"You little thing, come ba...."

"Let her go,"Sophie's dad said calmly to his first daughter.

"Are you okay?" Emma asked immediately I came inside the room.

"Yes, I am now," I said sighing heavily.

"Come here, I think you need a big hug," Emma said opening her hands for a hug.

"Yes, I do."
