"Songhee, what did you see?" NamJoon inquired, the female still shivering in the grass with a solemn expression seen in her red eyes, tears still running down her cheeks.

The others extremely worried.

So they were extra careful when asking her what happened, she was so spooked that when they tried to touch her she'd flinch and start shaking again.

Yoongi, pissed because he should've done more to stop her, approached Songhee carefully, crouching down in front of her, "Songhee, hun, it's Yoongi."

Songhee didn't move.

Yoongi sighed, his heart breaking, "Songhee, are you alright?"

She nodded, Yoongi sighing out of relief.

Songhee looked up at the rest of them, she was still shivering, but had composed herself enough to speak, "I-I'm fine, it's just, when I see the memories I feel what the person felt during the memory," she bit her bottom lip, tears welling up in her eyes again, "and it takes a bit for it to go away."

The rest of them nodded understandingly, they sat around Songhee, the females gaze fixated on the pond in front of her.

"Akane and Joonwae were shadow soulmates, Akane was really Chancellor Yang and Malchin's daughter. From the memories I got it seemed she had a better relationship with Malchin then with her mother," she took a deep breath before continuing, Yoongi holding her hand reassuringly, "one of the memories I got was her and Akida arguing, it seemed like she was trying to keep Akane away from Joonwae, I don't know why-"

"Could it be because of the fire and frost rumor?" Jungkook inquired, to which Songhee shook her head.

"No, because everyone knew about them, it was for a different reason they didn't verbalize." Songhee began shaking again as she prepared herself in explaining what she saw that had her sobbing and almost drowning.

Yoongi used his thumb to rub soothing circles on Songhee's hand, "It's okay, take your time."

Moments later is when Songhee actually began telling them.

"They were in a dungeon, I don't know if it's in the academy," she stared at the ground, tears going down her face, "Joonwae was chained up, so was Akane, and there were council members around them; one of them being Cashel, a much younger version. Akida k-kill-" Songhee's breath began hitching, her chest constricting.

"Akane?" Jimin inquired, Songhee shook her head.

The realization hit them all like a bullet.

Akida killed Joonwae right in front of Akane.

Namjoon shook his head a little, trying to process it, "Did you see what happened next?"

Songhee shook her head, her breathing stable, "You guys pulled me out before I could."

They all nodded, not believing, but also believing, that Akida killed Joonwae, the love of her daughters life, right in front of her. Unlike Songhee, they couldn't imagine the pain Akane must have felt having to see that.

Taehyung was the one that tilted his head, a thought coming to mind, "You said Cashel was there, just a younger version?"

Songhee nodded while looking at him.

Jimin had the same thought as Tae, able to finish the male's statement, "We should talk to him, he knows what happened that day, what happened after, it'll help us all know."

Yoongi shook his head, "Songhee, are you strong enough to do this?"

Songhee suddenly stood, her expression neutral and calm, a deadly type of calm, "Hell yes I am."

Fera stood in front of the bunch, she had been roaming the halls on guard since dinner had just ended, until all nine of her favorite students ran up to her asking if she could take them to Cashel.

On the way there, they told her what they did and what Songhee saw, Fera surprised by the information and agreeing when they urged how much they needed to speak to Cashel.

She even wanted to know more about it.

So, they went to the man's corridors, where they knew he'd be. It wasn't super late, so they hoped Cashel wasn't sleeping.

Even if he was, Fera would wake him up, this was more important than sleep.

She banged on his door, "CASHEL!" she yelled, the rest standing behind her.

Silently thanking the gods that they had Fera.

The man opened the door, he'd been awake after all, giving Fera a confused look, "What is this, Fera?"

Fera smiled at the elder man, her eyes burning orange briefly as she said, "Would you be a dear and let us in?"

Cashel, scared of Fera since he's witnessed the female snapping, nodded as he let them all in. Cashel was an older man, who lost his wife and hated confrontation, so for him, appeasing their request was much easier than arguing with them.

Once everyone was inside, Cashel sat down in one of his chairs, asking, "What do you all want?"

Songhee spoke for them, "What happened to Joonwae and Akane?"

Cashel scoffed, "You all know what happened-"

"What really happened to them?" NamJoon interrupted, his tone full of a venom he didn't even know he had in him.

Cashel went silent, Fera speaking, "I suggest you just say the truth, Cashel-ssi, they already have an idea."

The man sighed, staring down, and still not speaking.

Songhee glared at him, "You have burn on your leg from Akane's scream when Chancellor Yang killed Joonwae, don't you?"

Cashel's eyes snapped up to meet Songhee's, a breath leaving his body, "H-how do know that-"

"So it's true," Jimin chimed in, his arms crossed, "why has it been a secret, why did she do it?"

Cashel rubbed a hand over his face, sighing deeply before he looked at all of them, his hands interlocked in front of him, "I assume you know the fire and frost rumor isn't true," he eyed the arm Hoseok had around Yoongi, "we created the rumor to keep fire and frost apart, because there is a legend that scares everybody and Joonwae and Akane could have fulfilled it if Akida didn't kill Joonwae-"

"So killing them was the only answer?" Yoongi shook his head, not believing it.

Cashel tilted his head, "Akida only killed Joonwae, Akane killed herself from the pain of losing him."

All of them froze in their spots, their hearts breaking. How could Akida do that to her own daughter?

"It's why her and Malchin are no longer together. He agreed to kill Joonwae, he didn't think she'd do it in front of Akane." Cashel continued, the guilt he's felt bubbling up inside of him.

Hoseok licked his lip before asking, "What was the legend?"

Cashel shook his head, standing, "You can ask me anything but that, please, don't push it, i'm begging you. I don't even know what exactly it was." he pleaded, looking down.

They decided to let it go.

For now.

"What's the point of keeping it hidden, why hide it up with the fact they had sex? Why not burn all the information so no one would find out?" all of them asked question after question, Cashel trying his best to answer them all.

"The point of keeping it hidden is so Malchin and Akida didn't look back, she killed an, otherwise, innocent frost elemental and was the cause of her daughters suicide; so they kept it hidden and covered it up with the rumor you all know. They set decoy information incase anyone, like you guys, got curious and that's what you'd find, you guys just digged deeper than Akida may have ever expected." Cashel explained, "and-"

His eyes came into contact with Hayoon's, the female morphing her eyes into an icy-blue threateningly before they went back to brown. She raised an eyebrow, almost daring him to say something.

No one caught the interaction.

Except Songhee.

"and?" SeokJin inquired.

Cashel shook his head, "and nothing, please, I've answered your questions, now let me sleep."

Fera agreed with the older man, "If you guys have more just come back," she glared at him, "I bet he'll answer them." Cashel nodded.

They all filed out, on their way to the dorm-rooms to get some very much needed sleep.

Songhee couldn't help but feel an uncomfortable knot in her stomach as she walked with Hayoon.
