Chapter 47
A small pant leaves my lips as snuggle into the bed with my boyfriend, his arm held around me protectively as he slowly traces my scar with his fingers. Both of us were tangled in the bedsheets, sweat shining on our skin as we share a soft kiss. Katsuki's smile sets my stomach aflame as he playfully nibbles on my ear and nuzzles my neck while I giggle to myself. The faint music from my radio plays in the background to serve as a buffer in case my parents came home earlier than I had anticipated. His warm hands chase smiles on my lips as he looks up at me and grins to himself. He's happy. If he's happy, then so am I.
A phone ringtone cuts through our sweet silence making us curse under our breaths. A small hum leaves his lips as he grabs his phone from the pair of pants hanging on the foot of the bed before checking his notifications. His coy smile turns into a small frown before chuckling to himself and replying to his message while I look up at him. His chiselled jaw sharp enough to cut butter while I slide my finger across it softly.
Clearing his throat, Katsuki checks the time on my nightstand before smushing his cheek against my chest with a small whine. A little childish pout on his lips. He knows we have to get out of bed and head downstairs soon. Bliss is painfully interrupted, even at the best of times. Cursing under his breath, Katsuki sits up and slides out of bed making me whine loudly. A laugh leaves my lips as he slaps my thigh playfully before grabbing his underwear and shimmying it on.
As he gets his clothes back on, I playfully whistle at him making him roll his eyes and grab my clothes for me. Treating me like a toddler, Katsuki puts my underwear and bra back on, peppering kisses over the hickeys he left on my skin before grabbing one of my many dresses and sliding it onto my body. Once I'm dressed, I wrap my arms around his neck and press his lips against mine happily. I'm giddy. I can't help but smile. He's just that amazing to me.
"Hey, I know your parents want you and I to stay for dinner but I wanna take you home," He tells me softly, rubbing circles on my hip as I stand up and kiss his cheek, "What do you think? I'm gonna make my special chilli dish with homemade garlic bread... what do you think?"
"Can you make dessert too?" I ask slyly, smiling as he rolls his eyes and reluctantly curses under his breath, "Please? If you make dessert then I will... uh... try to copy your dad's signature curry dish,"
"That'll be difficult for you but I'm up for that," He tells me, grabbing his phone from the nightstand, "Come on, let's head home,"
Nodding happily, I link my hand with his and squeeze it as we head down the stairs. Giggles leave my lips as Katsuki hoists me into his arms princess style and carries me down the stairs before setting me down on my feet at he foot of the stairs. However, our happiness is short lived when I hear the sound of the microwave singing. My eyes widening slightly as I turn around to find the source of the pair and who is using the microwave. A whine leaving my lips when I see Ichiro of all people standing there with a small smirk on his lips. Oh my god.
My big brother is standing in the kitchen with a smirk on his lips. Did he hear anything? Please, please, please, if there is a god up there, please tell me he didn't hear anything! Oh god... he heard didn't he? Please... oh no...
"Hey lovebirds~" He coos playfully making me whine as he wolf whistles our way and pulls out his microwave meal of chicken curry and leans against the island, "Are we back in love~"
"Shut up, Ichiro," I growl playfully back, throwing a pillow at him making him snort as Katsuki grins and grabs my purse, "What are you doing here anyway? Thought you had work?"
"I hope you used protection~" He teases making Katsuki chuckle to himself, "Don't want you guys to procreate just yet. One of her is more than enough,"
"And with that, we're going," I tell him, flipping my brother off as he sticks his tongue out before following Katsuki out of the house and into his car, "Take me home, peasant,"
Chuckling to himself, Katsuki starts the engine and begins to drive us home. The familiarity of his hand resting on my thigh, teasingly sliding up before going back to my knee every know and then. Butterflies flutter around in my stomach as I link my fingers into his own and take a deep breath. Being with Katsuki made me feel complete again. He's with me. We're together. We're whole again. It seems almost perfect that he's here with me. My boyfriend is back with me, he cares about me.
He loves me.
As he drives down those familiar roads, my eyes narrow. He turns into the junction of the street that he lives down, a faint smile on his lips as he indicates toward his driveway and manoeuvres himself in. As he reverses into the driveway, my eyes lock onto the many cars parked outside on the tarmac in front of Katsuki's house. The ignition is turned off as I look toward Katsuki and narrow my eyes at him as he gets out of the car and pulls open my car door to let me out.
Once I'm out, I walk toward the cars. Shoto's pristine red sports car is parked in front of Eijiro's red convertible. Opposite Shoto's car is Izuku's green car that I can only assume was a gift from All Might due to the personalised plate reading '1 AM H3R3'. Then, on the other side of the road, is Denki's ugly yellow car with black stripes with Hanta's black car behind it.
What are they all doing here?...
Eyeing my boyfriend, I cross my arms and follow him toward the front door while he slowly opens it up. Apprehension sinks into my veins as Katsuki beckons me in. What is he planning? Is this an intervention or something? Or has he sorted out a small welcome party? Hoping for the latter instead of the former, I head toward the door and walk in. A small sigh leaving my lips as I see around ten pairs of shoes by the door belonging to the people that came from those cars. Something is definitely going on and I don't know what it is.
After kicking my shoes off and setting my purse down onto the table, I follow Katsuki into the living room. I'm immediately greeted by everyone making apprehension turn into shyness as I slowly hide myself behind my boyfriend making him chuckle. A faint smile on my lips as Katsuki presses a kiss to my cheek to try and reassure me. What is going on? Why are they all in our house? Has he told them all what happened?...
Shoto and Momo are sat on the loveseat in the living room cuddled up. The twins nowhere in sight leads me to assume Toya or Natsuo are babysitting the little terrors for the evening. On the larger couch, sits Mina and Eijiro alongside Denki and Hanta. The four of them cramped up on the couch to leave the armchair for the pregnant Kyoka who's currently stuffing her face full of ice cream. Sitting on the carpet, cuddling with each other, is Izuku and Ochaco, the pair of them beaming as I enter the room.
"They know don't they?..." I ask softly, looking to Katsuki as he nods gently. A small sigh leaves my lips, "Why did you tell them?... I didn't say you could..."
"It wasn't Katsuki who told us," Shoto speaks up making me look toward him and clear my throat nervously, "Mr. Aizawa told us what happened..."
"Oh..." I mumble, fiddling with my nails before squeaking out in surprise as Hanta drags me into the couch to pile up with the other three, "Hanta!"
"Shhh, accept the cuddles," Mina whispers, giggling as Eijiro and Denki wrap their arms around me and allow me to snuggle into them, "We've all been worried about you, we had to see what was going on,"
"When Aizawa told us, we went to Kacchan," Izuku explains, chuckling to himself as I try to wriggle out of the pile to get some air while still trying to accept as much cuddles as I can from Denki and my favourite hero of all time, "He was already with you when we found out, so we all thought we'd do a little pick me up of some sorts,"
"We've ordered some takeout, we did a variety since we couldn't decide on one thing," Momo speaks up, rubbing the back of her neck while Katsuki and I share a small look, "So we've ordered some Chinese food, some Indian cuisine, pizza, fried chicken and we've also managed to order some kebabs. The ones with pitta bread not the skewers,"
"That's great guys... thank you," I hum gently, smiling up at them as they all smile back before piling onto the couch making me shriek while Katsuki laughs outside of the dogpile I've been subjected to, "Okay! Can't breath!"
Reluctantly, they all let up and allow me to stand back up. Katsuki immediately takes my hand and leads me into the kitchen where there's a bunch of medication on the island. A faint frown plays on my face as I pick them up and study them. My eyes widening when I read Katsuki's name on the white sticky label wrapped around the cylindrical plastic. Slowly, I look toward him as he takes his shirt off and reveals the many scars that I have seen many many times before. A blush on my cheeks only lasts for a second as he grabs my hand and lets me slowly trace them.
"This one here, I got when I was sixteen," Katsuki begins slowly, letting me trace the large scar that began just under his right pectoral muscle and ended just above his belly button. It was like a crescent moon shape, "I got kidnapped, as you know, and while escaping, I blew the ground up. Debris went everywhere and I managed to cut myself,"
"Kat —"
"This one, I got when I was eighteen," Katsuki continues, moving my hand to the one on his left bicep. One of the many scars I trace after a long night of love, "It was my first solo mission and I got ahead of myself, the bitch cut my arm but I broke her nose as a repayment,"
"You —"
"This one, another one I got at eighteen," Katsuki tells me, guiding my hand to another scar on his stomach. This one was small but still prominent and the stitching from the hospital could still be made out after they'd been removed, "It was during my second work placement with Jeanist, some bastard stabbed me there and I was out for weeks,"
"Kat..."
"And this one here, I got a couple months ago," Katsuki begins, guiding my hand to another scar that sat on his hip. It was quite faint and hard to make out if you didn't know where it was, "I got that when I was rescuing you. The villain threw a car at me when he was running toward the park and glass cut through,"
"Kat..."
"Baby, I have more scars than you'll ever know but I'm not ashamed of them because each one moulds me into the man I am today," He tells me, kissing my hand as I stare into those ruby pools, "I'm doing this because I want you to know that you're not the only one here that has scars that they're ashamed of or that they're scared of showing. The scars I'm scared of showing, aren't on my body... they're up here,"
"Katsuki, you don't..." I begin before trailing off as he grabs the medication bottles and sets them in my palm, "Kat..."
"These are my medication for my PTSD and my migraines I get from the hearing loss," Katsuki explains, taking a deep breath as I look up at him and sniffle, "I've suffered with PTSD since I was sixteen and I've never told anyone other than Deku and he only knows because he's a nosy little weasel. The migraines have only been around for about five years but they're still a bastard. I want you to know that I'm here for you every step of the way and that we can get through this together... but only if we communicate. I love you so so much, you're the one person I trust with my life other than Eijiro,"
"Kat..." I hum, biting back tears as I put the medication down and wrap my arms around him tightly as he holds me close, "God... I love you so much..."
"We're gonna get you through this okay? Even if we have to go to councillors or therapists, I will be there to hold your hand," Katsuki tells me making me nod gently and bury my head into his neck, "We'll take this one step at a time, we'll get you back to babysitting first and then go back to your classes and take each step as it comes,"
Clearing my throat, I wipe my eyes and look up at him. Nothing but love and admiration stares me back making me suppress a small sob. God... what would I do without this man? Without any hesitation, I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down for a kiss, something that makes him chuckle as he kisses back and pulls me close. A faint hum leaving his lips as I pull away and cup his cheeks.
"But I'm not the only one with scars like these," Katsuki explains making me nod gently as he turns me around to see everyone else standing in the doorway, "And we're all here for you, okay? I mean, look at Icyhot, his mommy issues is for all the eye can see,"
"Thanks Katsuki, you make me feel so much better about myself," Shoto hums sarcastically making me giggle as Momo snorts to herself, "Come on, foods here,"
"You go set it up," Momo hums, talking primarily to the boys who immediately do as their told lest they want to face the wrath of Momo Todoroki. With all the men gone, Momo wraps her arms around me and kisses my forehead gently, "You know you can always come talk to us right?"
"Yeah... thank you," I hum, leaning into her warmth before giggling as Ochaco, Mina and Kyoka join the little cuddle. Kyoka struggling slightly with her ever growing baby bump, "I really appreciate it,"
"Of course! We gotta stick together!" Mina hums, beaming toward me while I nod and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, "You need anything, we're here,"
"Come on ladies, get your food before Denki and Eijiro eat it all!" Hanta calls out making us all exchange giggles before walking back into the living room, "Your meal, my lovely ladies,"
As I walk in, my eyes are unable to contain the shock at how much food there is in this room. I mean, we could feed the whole of Japan with this amount of food. There's three large pizzas all with contrasting toppings (no Hawaiian pizza though (Katsuki believes fruit doesn't belong on pizza and it should stay that way)) as well as four boxes full of curly fries and wedges. Then there's two buckets just full of fried chicken that I'm sure Hizashi would have loved to get his teeth into. Alongside that, there's coleslaw and sweet corn and dips of all kind.
Then, in the dining room, is our Chinese and Indian cuisine alongside our doner kebabs. All sorts of colours merge together. There's curries and masalas and samosas and biryanis. There's egg fried rice and chow mien and sweet and sour dishes and prawns. It's a culinary dream. I couldn't help but lean into Katsuki as he wraps his arm around my stomach, his hand over my scar to keep it protected in a way, before kissing my cheek.
"Take your pick baby, you get first dibs,"...
"Thank you Katsuki,"...
"Only the best for my baby face,"...
