Chapter 4

Groaning gently, a small hiss leaves my lips as my eyes slowly flutter open and the sunlight cracking through the blinds try to blind me. Taking a deep breath, letting myself adjust to the surroundings a bit and trying to ignore the numbing headache bashing against my skull as I sit up and run my fingers through my hair. A groan leaving my lips as I realise I've just slept in my makeup, before narrowing my eyes as I feel a rather heavy weight against my sides.

After stretching my hands over my head and yawning gently, shaking my head to pull myself out of the sleepy haze I'm in, I look down at the covers before biting back a small smile. My heart swelling fondly as I look toward the two twins fast asleep, each one beside me. Ryoku on his back, his arm rest against my thigh, the boy starfishing in his Dynamight pyjamas screaming the words 'Die!' on the front (Dynamight's rather violent catchphrase that he's known for). While, on my other side, laid Kōri curled up to my side with his thumb in his mouth, the boy gently humming as his hand clings to my finger, clad in his Deku pyjamas closely resembling his hero costume.

Giggling to myself, I gently run my hand through their heads of hair, smiling as they whine gently. First one to wake up was Kōri, the little boy rubbing his eyes as he slowly sits up and yawns tiredly, leaning against my side as he hums gently and snuggles himself into me making me smile and ruffle his hair gently while Ryoku covers his eyes with a pout.

"How come you two are in here and not in your room?" I ask with a smile, watching as Kōri looks up at me sheepishly while Ryoku yawns loudly and stretches his arms over his head, "Hm? You both have a bed that's perfectly comfy,"

"Kōri had a nightmare," Ryoku says sitting up with a hum, pushing himself to his feet before bouncing on the bed with a giggle, ignoring me as I try to get him to stop jumping as Kōri pouts and hides his face in my side, "So we came to you! You're really comfy, (Y/n) - chan!"

"You okay, bud?" I ask, looking toward Kōri who nervously nods and makes grabby hands toward me, smiling as I pull him into my arms and walk out of my room, "Ryoku off the bed, come on, let's go get some breakfast,"

Giggling, Ryoku jumps off the bed and collides into my legs with a bright smile before skipping toward the kitchen. Kōri buries his head sleepily into my neck as I walk down the hallway and into the kitchen, setting Kōri down on the kitchen counter before setting my hands on my hips as I watch Ryoku climb onto the counter and open up one of the cupboards, completely ignoring my rather confused face.

As soon as Ryoku pulls out some soba noodles, I clear my throat. The little black haired boy pouts gently toward me as I arch a brow, watching him set the soba noodles down on the counter and looking toward me expectantly. Who has soba for breakfast?...

"You're not having soba for breakfast, Ryoku," I tell him, arching a brow as he points toward Kōri who pouts toward me, "Kōri isn't having soba for breakfast either,"

"But daddy has soba for breakfast," Kōri whines, pouting as I place the soba back into its place in the cupboard and poking his nose gently making him giggle gently, "Why can't we have soba for breakfast? It's yummy!"

"Because soba is for dinner or lunch you silly billy," I coo; ruffling his hair making him giggle and swing his tiny feet back and forth, "Daddy shouldn't have soba for breakfast, how about we have pancakes? I'll put chocolate spread with it? Or syrup?"

"Pancakes!" The twins squeal happily, throwing their hands in the air. Ryoku jumping up and down on the counter making me giggle and shake my head as I pick him up and ruffle his hair, "Pancakes!"

"Ryoku, don't stand on the counter, you could fall and hurt your head," I gently scold, setting him down on his feet and watching him happily dance around the kitchen while muttering pancakes while Kōri does a little wriggle on the counter with a giggle, "How do you two have so much energy in the morning?"

What I would give to have that energy...

Smiling gently, I grab eggs and flour and milk. Once a bowl lays on the counter and I grab a spoon, I begin to make the pancake batter while humming a soft tune. As I stir the milk, flour and eggs together, Kōri watches me with sparkling his eyes. The little man giggles gently as I flick some flour toward him making him giggle. While, being a little hyperactive bean, Ryoku was dancing and running around the room happily before he crashes into his mother's legs who giggles and picks him up.

"Good morning you two," Mrs Todoroki coos, kissing her sons foreheads before smiling toward me and wrapping an arm around me with a smile, "Morning, (Y/n), sleep well? What are you making?"

"I'm making pancakes, Mrs Todoroki," I reply with a smile, giggling as Kōri makes grabby hands toward his mother with a little pouty lip who happily pulls him into her arms too, "The boys wanted soba but I told them no,"

"Sweetie, you don't have to call me and Shoto, Mr and Mrs Todoroki," She says gently making me look toward her tilting my head as I grab a pan and heat it up with a small hum, "We're more than happy for you to call us Shoto and Momo... you can call me YaoMomo if you're more comfortable. You've been babysitting the boys for a while now, Mr and Mrs Todoroki makes us feel old and you're only three years younger than us,"

"Of course... YaoMomo," I say, smiling toward her as I call her by her nickname making the girl giggle as she tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and sets the twins down, "Thank you for letting me stay over,"

"Of course, you do a lot for us it's only fair we help you," She says with a smile, watching as I pour some batter into the pan and let it heat up, flipping it when all the bubbles are popped making the twins watch me with sparkles in their eyes, "Have a good night last night?"

"Yeah, we had fun, my roommate managed to pick up a really hot girl," I tell her, watching her sit up at the island and lean toward me, happily listening to me about my university life, "Did you and your friends go out when you went to Uni?"

"Well, by the time university hit, I was pregnant with my boys so I couldn't exactly go out drinking," Momo explains with a small smile, giggling when I finish making the pancakes for the twins who cheer happily and climb onto the table, "So we went out and had manicures or had brunches or went out shopping,"

"That sounds much better than going out every weekend and getting drunk," I reply, grabbing some aspirin from the cupboard and swallowing it down with a hum before making pancakes for Momo and Shoto and I, "So what have you and Shoto got planned for the day?"

"Well, we're having a double date with Midoriya and Uraraka mid - afternoon," Momo begins with a smile, running her fingers through Ryoku's head of black hair as he munches his pancakes happily, "But before and after, we're going to cuddle on the couch and watch black and white movies while having tea and eating buttloads of chocolate and ice cream,"

"That sounds adorable," I hum, setting down a plate of pancakes in front of her and smiling toward Shoto as he stumbles in with rather wild bed hair making the twins giggle, "Good Morning, Mr Todoroki,"

"Morning," he mumbles, kissing his wife's cheek before ruffling his son's hair and sitting down at the table, going straight to eating his breakfast while Momo suppresses a giggle as he tiredly leans forward into his breakfast and his face becomes smushed against the plate making all of us giggle.

"Boys, why don't you get changed for (Y/n)?" Momo asks them as they finish their pancakes, the pair of them looking up at her and happily nodding with a bright smile on their faces, "Let daddy have a snooze,"

"Yeah mama," Ryoku says with a smile, the little boy holding his hand out toward his little brother, the pair of them running off holding hands as they race off to their room.

"Thank you for taking the boys out today," Momo says, thanking me again as I take her empty plate and place them in the dishwasher with a smile, "We both really appreciate it,"

"Of course, you both relax, I can take it from here," I tell her, running my fingers through my hair as I head to my room after brushing my teeth, a smile on my lips as I open up my overnight bag.

After shedding my new Red Riot hoodie and leggings, I change my underwear before slipping into some denim jeans and a simple short sleeved top with blue and white plaid pattern on it. Making sure that the shirt is tucked in before grabbing a headband from my bag and pushing it into my hair to keep the hair out of my face. A smile playing on my lips as I quickly spray some perfume onto my person and clean my teeth before heading out of my room.

Walking into the living room, I couldn't help but coo toward the two five year old twins helping each other put their shoes on. Ryoku tying up the laces on his younger brothers shoes before Kōri does the straps on his shoes making me whine at how adorable they are. Smiling to myself, I grab the money that Momo left on the side for me to use for groceries and a house key before letting the boys skip to their parents. Shoto finally managing to wake himself up.

"We'll be back in about an hour and a half," I explain looking toward Shoto and Momo who nod toward me with a smile on their lips as their sons bombard them with kisses and cuddles, "Is there anything in particular you want? You can text me certain brands if you want them,"

"Sweetie, you know what we like," Momo says with a smile, kissing her sons foreheads before ruffling their hair, "Now you two behave for (Y/n), okay? Ryoku, you don't run off, if you do then we won't take you to get the new Dynamight backpack you want, okay? Kōri, don't put whatever you want in the cart. (Y/n) has to put it in, okay?"

"Yes mama!" The twin reply in sync making Momo smile happily and hold them close, "We love you!"

"I love you too baby boys," She coos, kissing their foreheads before letting them stand by the door ready for me to take them to the grocery store to get them their weekly shop. Momo sends me a reassuring smile as I slip into my sneakers, "Any problems, you call us,"

"Of course, now don't worry," I tell her, sending her a reassuring smile back as she giggles toward her husband who's already thinking about falling asleep already, "You two just relax and have a good time,"

"We will," Momo hums as I grab plastic bags from the counter to use to put the groceries in before opening the front door, "Bye! Have fun!"

With that, we leave the home and begin our journey toward the grocery store. Both Kōri and Ryoku hold onto my hands, the pair of them behaving themselves as we walk down the street. Unfortunately, since I went drinking last night, I couldn't exactly drive just in case I was still intoxicated. So we had to walk.

As we walk down the sidewalk, both boys happily play a little game between each other. Little giggles eruption between them as they play it. The pair of them refusing to touch the cracks in the pavement with their feet, trying to get me on it as well. Then, whenever a low brick or stone wall would be on the side, both boys would be adamant about walking across it. To which, I let them while holding both of their hands to make sure they didn't fall. Both of them making the journey longer than it needed to but I didn't mind, they were too adorable to stay mad at after all.

Then, after a while, we finally arrive at the grocery store, the two boys instantly darting toward a shopping cart making me giggle and shake my head as I place a coin into the slot and pull it away from the chain of carts. Before I go in, I pick up both of the twins and place them in the little seat of the cart to make sure that they stayed in place instead of rushing off on their own. With a smile, ruffling both of their hair, I push into the grocery store.

As soon as I push in, the store it crowded. A bunch of people lining up at the checkout counter, waiting for their turn to scan their food and pay. People filling aisles to the brim. Shopping carts making the aisles hell to manoeuvre through.

Well this will be fun...

Clearing my throat, I push through the fruits and vegetables aisle, grabbing a bunch of bananas, some apples, grapes, strawberries, oranges and grapefruit from the fruits section. A small nagging feeling in my stomach beginning to swell as people try to push me away from my spot to reach to their wanted item or barging last me without so much as an 'excuse me'. Why are some people so rude? It doesn't cost anything to be polite!

As we manoeuvre through the fruits and vegetables aisle with little ease, we round the shelves to roll into the meats and dairy aisle. A small giggle leaving my lips as Kōri begins to make grabby hands toward certain items while I browse and compare prices of certain meats. Making sure that I'm giving Shoto and Momo the best food that I can get them. Making sure that that the twins will be well fed.

The further we venture into the grocery store, the more full the cart becomes. The twins both happily nattering away between each other as I grab whatever we need from the shelves, muttering the odd few words to myself when I need to make sure I'm adding things up right in my head, even grabbing my phone and making sure I'm keeping well within budget.

"(Y/n)..." Ryoku speaks up catching my attention as I place some coffee granules into the cart, the boy playing with the chain on the cart sheepishly, "Can we... can we have candy please?"

"Hmm... are you two going to behave?" I ask, smiling toward them as I wheel us toward the candy aisle, giggling when I hear Kōri gasp happily, "Will we be good?"

"Yeah! We'll be extra good!" Kōri exclaims, his little legs swinging as he points toward the candy, "Pretty please with a cherry on top!"

"Okay then, since you asked so nicely and used your manners," I tell them, giggling as their eyes suddenly sparkle with glee and they go about choosing what candy they want while I lean against the handlebar of the cart and wait for them to come to a decision. The boys pulling out the candy they want while grinning before catching my attention to let me know that I can continue shopping, "Come on then boys, lets sort out the frozen foods and then go pay,"

With the boys occupied with the bags of their candy, I push toward the freezers of the shop and look over the frozen vegetables, chicken nuggets and fish fingers and pizzas before placing them into the shopping cart. Knowing how lazy both Momo and Shoto can be when it comes to cooking, especially after a long day of patrolling and heroing. So buying readymade meals and things that you can just bung in the oven when the twins are hungry helps them out a lot. Especially Shoto since he's not as talented in the kitchen as his wife is.

After ticking off the final product on the shopping list, I push the cart toward the cash registers, sending a smile toward the cashier who brightly smiles my way and begins to scan through everything. The twins giggling as they hear the beeps and mimicking the beep every now and then and poking each other while I quickly try to bag everything and place it back in the cart. It was almost a race against the cashier as I bag everything as quickly as I possibly can, hoping that I don't cause a backlog or get annoyed shoppers sending me glares at the amount of food I'm buying.

After paying for the food, thanking the cashier gently and making sure the twins have their candy, I push the cart out of the store and take a deep breath as I walk toward the little shelter where the carts are and stretch my arms over my head with a groan.

Now to take all these bags back to the Todoroki estate.

With a hum, I help the boys out of the seat in the carts, poking their noses gently as I place them onto the gravel of the pavement before turning toward the cart to think about how I'm going to carry around twelve shopping bags back home... maybe I could call a cab.

"Uncle Deku! Uncle Deku!" Kōri squeals, darting away from me before I could even grab his wrist to keep him close, my eyes widening slightly as Ryoku darts off, following after his brother, "Uncle Deku!"

"Boys! Don't run off!" I yell, chasing after them before stopping in place with a sigh of relief as I see Deku, the number one hero, being bombarded by the twins. The greenette laughing gently as he picks up the twins and holds them close while his blonde co worker, Dynamight, stands behind him, "Sorry, Mr. Deku, I couldn't exactly stop them, I have a buttload of shopping to take back,"

"It's okay, don't worry about it," Deku hums with a big smile making me feel somewhat at ease knowing that he's not annoyed that the twins interrupted his patrol with Dynamight, "Do you need a hand? I can help take the bags home if you want,"

"You don't have to, Deku, it's really fine," I hum, heading back to the cart with him  following close behind with the twins in his arms, "I'll call a cab it's o -"

"Don't worry, I'll take them back with you, it'll save you money," Deku hums with a bright smile, setting the boys back down onto the floor before chuckling as they both hold his hand and look up at him with sparkling eyes, "Are you two behaving for (Y/n)?"

"Duh! We're angels, Uncle Deku!" Ryoku says with a big smile, Deku chuckling and ruffling his hair as he moves back and forward on his feet, "We were really good!"

"That's great," Deku says, taking four bags from the cart and resting them on his arms before taking an extra two to hold in his hands, "Kacchan? Are you coming or are you going on ahead?"

Turning around, my eyes widen slightly as I see Dynamight, The Dynamight, walk toward us. A stern look splashed across his face as he stands there in his hero outfit with his arms crossed over his chest. His ruby red orbs staring toward me as I send him a small nervous smile before looking back toward Deku who grins toward him like the blonde isn't giving him a huge death stare.

"What do you want?" Dynamight groans, wheezing gently as Ryoku slams into him with a bright giggle making the male lose his intimidating demeanour with a chuckle as he picks Ryoku up and throws him in the air making him squeal, "God squirt, you're getting too heavy for me to carry you,"

"I'll never be too heavy, Uncle Kacchan!" Ryoku squeals happily, laughing as Dynamight throws him up in the air again and catching him with ease, "You're the strongest hero ever!"

"Damn right I am!" Dynamight rumbles with a chuckle, setting the boy down on his feet and ruffling his hair as Ryoku clings to his side with a big smile, "Who's this then?"

"That's (Y/n)! She's our babysitter!" Ryoku says happily, pointing toward me as I wave nervously toward him making him arch a brow, "(Y/n)! This is Uncle Kacchan!"

Kacchan?... A bit of a soft name for someone as brash and as violent as Dynamight.

"Hi," I squeak out gently, sending him a small smile as he nods my way before turning his attention to Deku who smiles brightly while I turn to grab the rest of the bags before wincing as I pull the bags out of the cart, "God they're heavy..."

"Here, let me," Deku says, trying to take them off me while looking to Dynamight, "I'm gonna help (Y/n) take these back to Todoroki's, are you gonna go on?"

"What's that supposed to mean? Give me the damn bags before you break them with your weak arms," Dynamight growls, snatching seven bags away from the greenette before turning on his heel and walking down the road with Ryoku glued to his hip, "Well come on! I haven't got all day!"

"Sorry about him, he can be quite... temperamental but he's not that bad," Deku says with a soft smile as he pulls Kōri onto his shoulders and makes his way down the street with me following behind them with a smile, "Kacchan doesn't usually help civilians so this is quite new,"

A smile plays on my lips as I watch Kōri play with the green plume of curls on top of Deku's head while Ryoku babbles to Dynamight about anything and everything. The older blonde happily listening to him talk about everything. With a small hum, my eyes trail over the back of the number two hero, seeing the muscles poking out of his back. A smile on my lips as my teeth worry my bottom lip as my eyes slightly peer toward the hero's ass. Giggling to myself before looking toward Deku as he sends me a smile, oblivious to me checking the other hero out.

"So how's your degree going?" Deku asks as we head down the street, the greenette laughing as Kōri pulls at his hair gently, "Is it going okay?"

"It's going great, we had mock exams a week or so ago and we got our results just last Thursday," I explain with a smile, happy about talking to someone about my degree, happy that I wasn't the one that initiated the conversation, "I passed with flying colours, which is amazing. I just hope I can keep it up,"

"You'll do great, I know you will," Deku hums, chuckling as Ryoku drags Dynamight into the home as we arrive, "And if you ever need help with anything, you can always call me, I'm more than happy to help you out,"

"Thank you," I tell him, stepping into the home to see Shoto leaning against the counter with a bowl of soba in his hands, ignoring the pancake batter I made and chowing down on the noodles while Momo sips at her coffee, "Hi,"

"Hiya sweetie, I see you've brought Midoriya and Bakugo back with you," Momo teases making me giggle as I take the bags off Deku to head toward the kitchen, "You must have bribed Bakugo or something, he almost never helps out anyone, he finds helping civilians with things like that demeaning,"

"What?! Hey!" Dynamight splutters glaring toward Momo as she hides a giggle behind her hand as she watches him open up the bags to put the food away, already knowing where everything goes, "I'm a very helpful person!"

"Next joke please," Shoto mumbles, ducking just in time to avoid a bag of dried pasta being thrown toward him, the two tone male laughing gently, "This is the first time I've ever seen you help someone that isn't Kirishima,"

"He's right Kacchan," Deku speaks up, laughing as Dynamight chucks a bag of peas toward him, the greenette happily catching it to put it away in the freezer, "I thought you'd just go without us,"

"Only because you were gonna break the bags with how you were holding them, I was making sure the food didn't spoil," Dynamight grumbles rolling his eyes, ignoring the way Shoto pointedly looks toward him as he takes the cookie jar from my hands and places it back onto the shelf that I'm unable to reach making me smile toward him, "Don't think that she's special or anything,"

Rolling my eyes gently, already having put up with people like that (Kana for example), I blatantly ignore his jab while Momo gawks at him and goes to scold him. With everything put away and everything in its place, I push the shopping bags back into a drawer to use for another day before running my fingers through my hair and stretching my hands over my head. A giggle leaving my lips as Shoto sticks his tongue out toward the blonde who flips him off, Ryoku laughing toward them while Kōri gasps and rushes to Dynamight to push his middle finger back down into his fist.

"Don't do that, uncle Kacchan! You'll hurt daddy's feelings!"...

"Your dad is a big boy, Mini Icyhot, he'll be fine,"...

"I think Bakugo may be showing off for (Y/n), Shoto,"...

"What?! In your dreams, Ponytail!"...
