Chapter 35

Taking a deep breath, I stare at my reflection in the mirror of Katsuki's bedroom. My tongue clamped down in between my teeth as I pick and pick and pick at my reflection. Stomach flipping with nausea as I do a little spin in the mirror to make sure there isn't even a speck of dust on my choice of clothes. A small swirl of anxiety burning in my stomach as I look over my person. Eyes tracing each and every inch of my being, making sure that it's all perfect and it's all good enough for this evening. Legs practically feeling like jelly as I bite my lip, thinking that maybe this outfit can't possibly be good enough for tonight.

Before I could even think about heading toward my half of Katsuki's closet, said male wraps his arms around my waist to keep me planted in place. His large callous hands slowly resting on my hips as he rests his cheek on top of me head. Ruby eyes scan over my figure before a grin stretches across his face, a kiss being planted against my temple relaxes me slightly. His hands grounding me. Making sure that I don't go insane and practically wear everything in my wardrobe before I finally make a decision. A first impression is everything... especially to a boyfriends parents... I don't want to mess this up because I'm wearing things that don't match or I'm wearing something too revealing or...

I just don't want to make a bad impression!

Tonight, for the first time in our relationship, I will be meeting Katsuki's parents. I'll be meeting the man and woman who raised Katsuki and the two people that are probably the most important people in the world to him other than his close friends. It's probably the most nerve wracking experience that I will be dealing with for the first time since I started my University degree. I don't even know what they're like! Izuku says that Katsuki is like a mini version of his mother and that his father is quite quiet and sweet. Plus they're fashion designers.

Sighing to myself, I look at my clothes adorning my body. A pair of blue denim jeans hanging off my legs, hugging my legs softly and accentuating every curve of my lower half of my body. Katsuki grins to himself as he mumbles about how good the jeans hug my ass (so I definitely know that tonight he'll want to do something when we get home). On my top half, a simple spaghetti strap vest top with a shirt unbuttoned over the top with a white, black and grey plaid pattern. The bottom of the shirt was tucked in slightly to make it look more neater and I am planning on wearing my leather jacket over the top with my sneakers.

I just hope that this is good enough for his parents... they're fashion designers after all. They know what works and what doesn't work... they know what's fashionable. I just don't want them to pick apart my clothing... or even my figure. They work with models! Surely! Oh god! Oh god! Oh —

"You look beautiful, Baby Face, they're gonna love you," Katsuki mumbles into my hair with a grin as he squeezes my hips to bring me back into the present and out of my head. A faint laugh leaving my lips as he nibbles my earlobe, "My mom and dad will adore you so much, I know they will,"

"You really think so?" I ask, turning around in his arms to look up at him. A laugh echoing around the room as Katsuki nods eagerly and pulls me close for a quick kiss, "So you think that what I'm wearing is good? They'll like it? They won't pick it apart? And you think they'll like the profiteroles? I can make cake too, if you —"

"You're spiralling baby," Katsuki hums cutting me off, a small nervous smile playing on my lips as I fiddle with the buttons of his t shirt, "You look amazing and the food you cook is delicious. They will love you, now let's go before you pop a blood vessel,"

Swallowing down the bile of anxiety in the back of my throat, I follow Katsuki out of the bedroom and head toward the kitchen to grab the box I had made full of our dessert for after our dinner. Since I didn't know what Katsuki's parents liked, I sort of stress-baked as soon as Katsuki's friends left the house. I made little mini quiches for a starter full of goats cheese, caramelised onions and mushrooms as well as homemade garlic pitta breads and their own dips (something that Katsuki loves). Then, I made a batch of profiteroles and eclairs as well as a rhubarb pie with the leftover rhubarb from back home.

I may have made too much... but you can't be too sure!

After I have a quick once over in the mirror, I head out of the house and slide into Katsuki's car while he locks up. My eyes raking over his ass in those jeans he's wearing. A playful giggle leaving my lips as I wolf whistle his way and stick my tongue out as he flips me off. A small smile on my lips as he sits down in the drivers seat and presses his lips against mine for a bout of reassurance. Once happy, he switched on the ignition and pulls out of the driveway with a small hum as he turns on the radio.

As Katsuki drives down the motorway toward his parents house, I look down the window while mumbling the words to the song playing on the radio. A giggle leaves my lips as I feel Katsuki's hand on my thigh, the male squeezing it reassuringly while he drives, only lifting his other hand when he needs to switch any gears. Smiling to myself, I slide my hand over his and squeeze it back as I lean back into the chair. My stomach still swirling with anxiety the closer and closer we become to his parents home.

Once we turn off the motorway into a side road, a rather suburban town that is full of life and bustle. A small sense of familiarity washing through me as we drive past the building of U.A high school. Past Aizawa and his little girl, Eri, who's on the swings with what appears to be Hiro. My heart swelling with joy as I watch Hiro push Eri on the swings and the pair of them giggling with one another. Past Izuku and Ochaco who's just heading into their home with someone, who I assume to be Izuku's mother.

Then, we pull up to a large looking home that seems way to expensive to even set foot in. My eyes widening slightly at the sheer size of the home as Katsuki switches off the engine and pats my thigh with a smirk. Flushing in slight embarrassment, I take a deep breath and grab the bag full of dessert and starters before pushing myself out the car and finally admiring the house from outside.

"You lived here?" I ask incredulously as I look toward me boyfriend who grins and nods. The male kissing my cheek as he clears his throat and heads toward the front door, "Kat, this looks so amazing,"

"I know, it's a nice place," Katsuki hums before checking the time and taking a deep breath, "Just stay here for five minutes, I just need to make sure the hag doesn't have any baby photos or shit that we don't need to see,"

"I — okay," I reply nervously, letting him walk in before standing awkwardly by the front door. A small sigh leaving my lips as I look down at the concrete and wait, "I'll wait here..."

As soon as the front door shuts, I can't help but look around the front garden a bit. Beautifully planted flowers adorned the front of the house giving it a more homely feel. A rather large expensive car sits upon the driveway with a very smartly personalised license plate. Just standing here felt like it was a crime. Everything seems so extravagant and so expensive. Katsuki's grew up in a lavish lifestyle while I spent my childhood mucking out cows and picking eggs out of hutches. It's almost like a foreign place to m—

"Don't you talk to me like that, Katsuki! And don't you fluff that pillow! I just fluffed them you bitch!"

My eyes widen as I stare at the front door upon hearing the shouting. Was that his mom? Am I hearing things correctly or is this just a little hallucination that my brain is making to freak me out? Is this seriously his mom?

"Oi! Don't you hit me, you hag! I'm a grown ass man! Quit picking at my hair! You're gonna fucking burn the rice!" There's Katsuki yelling at, who I'm assuming, is his mother making me bite my lip and take a nervous breath, "Fuck me, what on earth are you cooking? My girlfriend won't eat that shit! That's bland as fuck!"

Clearing my throat nervously, trying to keep my feet planted on the ground, I look around as I try to be oblivious to the yelling happening in the house. My brain trying to force myself to stay put on the front porch instead of running back to my apartment and hide in my bedroom. No wonder Katsuki is so loud and sweary. If his mom is anything to go by, I'm not surprised.

Another car pulling up into the driveway catches my attention, my heart in my throat as someone leaves the car and pulls out a grocery bag with a faint smile on his features. He had a head of brown spiky hair that's styled just like Katsuki's with soft brown eyes and black rimmed glasses sitting on his nose. The male humming gently to himself as he locks the car before heading toward the front door and stopping when he clocks my presence.

"Are you okay?" He asks softly, sighing to himself when he hears Katsuki yelling at his mother and his mother yelling twice as loud, "Are you here for someone?"

"I — I'm (Y/n)..." I introduce nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear as I take a deep breath, "I — I'm Katsuki's... girlfriend,"

"Oh! You're the girlfriend! Oh! It's so nice to finally meet you!" He suddenly perks up making me jump slightly before smiling as I take his hand and shake it, "I'm Masaru, I'm Katsuki's dad. Did he leave you out here?"

"Y — yeah, uh... he said something about wanting to make sure his mom didn't leave stuff out that I didn't need to see," I explain as he shakes his head with a smile and opens the front door to allow me to walk in, "I made some mini quiches for starters, and there's some pitta breads that Katsuki likes. I didn't know what we were having for dinner so..."

"That's great, Mitsuki's making curry for us. It's Katsuki's favourite," Masaru explains as he slips his shoes off and leads me through the house toward the kitchen where Katsuki is nose to nose with his mother, "Hey! You two! Cut it out! We have a guest!"

"What?! You left her out there on her own?!" Katsuki's mother screams at her son making me stare at her with wide eyes. A small groan leaving Masaru as his rubs his temple and sets down the grocery bag. Suddenly, the blonde woman pushes her son into the kitchen counter and walks toward me while taking my hands into hers, "Are you okay? Tell me if Katsuki's being a dick because I can put him in his place, sweetie —"

"Hey! I'm a great boyfri —"

"Will you stop yelling?!" Masaru yells toward his son and wife who stare toward him with narrowed eyes before looking back toward me. Masaru sending me a reassuring smile as I'm sure I look like I'm about to shit myself, "She's shaking like a leaf,"

"I — I made mini quiches for starters and some garlic pitta breads... I — if you're interested," I speak up nervously as I hand one of the bags to Katsuki's mom who pulls out the boxes full of food that I had made and inspects them slightly, "I'm (Y/n),"

"These looks delicious, I'll go serve these up in a minute. I'm Mitsuki, I'm this twat's mom," Mitsuki hums taking my hands into hers again and having a good look at me while I send her a nervous smile, "I have curry being made tonight, it isn't bland like someone says it is. We ran out of ingredients so Masaru had to go to the grocery store. Why don't you show her your bedroom, Katsuki, while I handle dinner?"

Huffing to himself, Katsuki rolls his eyes and nods my way. Smiling weakly, I hand Masaru the bag of dessert and I follow after my boyfriend a little quicker than I thought I would. A small sigh leaving my lips as we're out of earshot and I follow him up the stairs toward his bedroom where I'm immediately scooped into my boyfriends arms. My eyes widening as he buries my head into his shoulder once the door is closed.

"Sorry, if I'd known that she'd be like this I would have given you a heads up. She is very overbearing," Katsuki explains making me hum gently and snuggle into his side, "We can go home if you want? I'll order —"

"Kat, it's fine, really," I tell him honestly as I pull away slightly to look up at him. The male smiling as I kiss him gently, "If I can handle you then I can handle your mom. She doesn't seem too bad, I'm sure she'll get better,"

"You clearly don't know my mom how I do," Katsuki says with a scoff before groaning when I finally look around the bedroom, "I can explain the posters,"

"All Might and Endeavor, huh?" I ask arching a brow, laughing as he pinches my side playfully before groaning as I kick his shin gently and slide down onto his bedspread. My eyes widening when I notice a stack of books, "Oh my god! You read romance novels?! Is that why Izuku says there's a hidden stack of books in your office that I'm not allowed to see?"

"Oh my god! I told you to hide them, you hag!" Katsuki yells down to his mother while I squeak into a fit of giggles as I snuggle into the plush covers of his bed, "You're never gonna let me live it down, are you?"

"You won't let me live the Red Riot bedspread down," I tell him simply as I grin playfully and sit up against the headboard of the bed, "You're the light of my life,"

"Better be, I'm the best boyfriend you're ever gonna have," Katsuki gloats, smirking as he slides onto the bed beside me and wraps his arms around me to pull me closer, "And you're the best girlfriend I could ever have,"

"Yeah I am," I coo, laughing as he pulls me on top of him, the male smirking as I straddle his waist and move my hair out of my face, "I'm so going to tell Shoto,"

"You tell him, I'm never putting out again," Katsuki threatens making me shrug and laugh as he gawks at me, "You're a bitch,"

"Katsuki! (Y/n)! Dinner!"

Grinning to myself, I kiss my boyfriends nose softly before sliding off him and racing down the stairs. Masaru chuckles as Katsuki and I take our seats beside one another, his eyes watching as Katsuki slides his hand down to rest on my thigh. The blonde smirking toward his father who flicks the back of his head before sitting opposite us beside his wife who's finishing up the garnishing of our mini quiches. My stomach grumbling with hunger as I wait for Mitsuki or Masaru to allow us to dig into our meal.

Once Mitsuki gives us the go ahead, I grab my fork and immediately dig into the mini goats cheese, caramelised onion and mushroom quiche. The golden colour of the onions making my stomach wish to be satiated as I dig into it and groan to myself. I'm such a good cook! God, this is so good!

"So, (Y/n), what do you do?" Masaru asks looking toward me as he sets down his cutlery to give me his full attention, "Are you a hero too?"

"Oh, no... no, I can't do things like that. I'm a Food and Catering student at Fukuoka University," I explain, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear as I swallow down another mouthful of my quiche, "I'm in my senior year,"

"Wait? You're still at college?" Mitsuki asks making me nod nervously as she snorts and looks toward Katsuki making his brow twitch, "How old is she?"

"She's twenty one," Katsuki explains simply making me tilt my head confused as I look toward Mitsuki who's close to laughing her head off while Masaru grimaces, "What?"

"She's younger than you?" Mitsuki asks making me shift nervously as I set down the fork. The quiche beginning to taste horrible in my mouth as I look down in my lap, "Katsuki,"

"Only by two years, it's not a big deal," Katsuki hums sensing my discomfort as I sniffle gently and clear my throat when Mitsuki arches a brow and snorts again making Katsuki growl to himself, "What?"

"So what was wrong with that other one?" She asks making me tense up slightly. Is she referring to Camie? Katsuki's ex? I mean, I don't know much about that relationship but Katsuki only told me it was purely physical and she was just something that he had weekly to reduce stress buildup, "Camie, isn't it?"

"Ma, stop it,"

"I need to get some fresh air... I don't feel too good," I mumble softly and push myself away from the table before heading toward the front door and shutting it behind me as I head toward the car with a small sniffle. My eyes turning toward the door as the door opens and Katsuki walks out, "I don't think I can stay any longer Kat... no disrespect to your mom but, I don't want her to start calling me names because I'm still at university..."

"Hey, it's okay... it's okay," He reassures me as I look down at my nails and sigh to myself, "Babe, maybe my dad could come over instead? He really wants to get to know you... would you like that?"

"Yeah? You're dad seems great," I tell him softly, leaning into his chest before looking up at him and fiddle with his shirt, "You stay with your parents, I wouldn't want to take you away from them,"

"No, I'm coming to take you home. Give me five minutes to grab the pitta bread and the dessert and we can go,"...

"Kat, you really don't have to —"...

"I'm doing it,"...
