Chapter 25

Riding off from the high of a couple of weeks ago, I can't help but smile to myself whenever Katsuki pops into my head. I mean, even my brothers have told me that this is the happiest that they've seen me for a good while. I mean, I haven't had a bad spell for a good time too! While I'm doing anything, he'll just randomly pop into my head without any prompting which would then make me go bright red and smile like a complete idiot while snorting out. I just couldn't get him out of my head. He'll be smiling or he'll be in his normal civilian clothes and I'll be a hot mess with a bit blush across my cheeks.

Then, with Katsuki all across the media at the moment with his sudden attitude change (it's not a huge change just a slight change) and 'mysterious' girlfriend, all I see is him on the tv everywhere now. He'll be in action sometimes, showing off his muscles and his strength. Or he'll be pinning a villain to the ground with a maniacal grin and the camera will zoom in on his face. Or he'll just be out on patrol with Red Riot or Deku and interviewers will try to get statements out of him.

It's amazing to see him so much. And all I could think of when I see him on tv is: that's my boyfriend.

My boyfriend!

That's right, I have a boyfriend! My boyfriend is the number two hero! It's almost like I'm dreaming half the time whenever I think about it. It's always someone's dream to date someone as amazing as him. Everyone idolises him and has crushes on him... and out of all the people in the world that like him, he chooses me. Little old me. Me who, due to my quirk, is quite the stressy bean and also quite the anxious bean. Someone who I would have never thought that Katsuki would be dating.

It's just so surreal to think that my boyfriend is the number two hero of Japan and is close to nabbing that number one spot from Deku. If you told me five years ago that I'd be dating the Dynamight, I would have told you that you were crazy. I wouldn't have believed you. I would have told you that you were crazy and that you're pulling my leg. Maybe even laughing your face and find you hilarious!

Yet here I am!

Humming gently to myself, I stand at the kitchen counter of the Todoroki estate to begin making dinner for the Todoroki family. A small smile playing on my lips as Saori (one of Shoto's nieces) watches me as I work. Her soft turquoise eyes shimmering with curiosity as she watches me begin to slice and chop up the vegetables for the dish I'm making. A giggle leaving my lips as she pushes a chair by the kitchen counter and kneels on top of it to have a good look at what I'm doing.

Saori is a sweet little girl. She's a year or so older than the twins. Her eyes are a beautiful turquoise colour and her hair is absolutely gorgeous, she has red roots that slowly blend into snow white ends. She's Toya's third child and she's so adorable that I don't usually mind when she accompanies me in the kitchen. She keeps herself to herself and just watches silently. Asking the odd few questions here and there as and when she wants to find out something about the dishes I make and where I learnt them from.

All in all, I do enjoy her company.

Shoto had been stuck on babysitting duty for the evening. With Toya and his wife out for the evening with Enji and Rei, Shoto had been opted as babysitter of the four children that they have. Hiro is already in the living room with Shoto and the twins, play fighting with them and Shoto throwing them over his shoulder toward couch making the boys squeal out in giggles. Ayumi, Toya's second oldest child, was with Momo in the dining room going over her homework while Mizumi (Toya's youngest) is fast asleep in her crib.

To help out Shoto and Momo, I offered to cook dinner for the six children and themselves so they had one less thing to worry about. It was the least I could do after they allowed me to leave earlier than usual to go out on my dates with Katsuki. Not that they knew I was going out with Katsuki. They didn't didn't know.

I didn't know exactly how to tell them that I'm dating their coworker/one of the godfather's of their children/friend. Sure, Momo often teased me about being the 'mysterious girl' and sure, Shoto has said that there could be something there. However, there's that slight nagging feeling in the back of my head that they wouldn't be happy about it...

Again, procrastination and anxiety is an absolute bitch!

So, after some deliberation and taking into consideration what Hiro, Saori, Ayumi and the twins don't like, I decided to make a no fuss pasta dish that I know they'll all eat. Mizumi, considering she's a eight month old baby, will be having baby food, of course, but the others will be having whatever I make for them. Toya's wife thankfully supplied me with a list of allergies and foods that they don't like so I know not to incorporate them into the dish so I know that I won't have food poisoning or an allergic reaction on my hands.

However, you can never go wrong with a spaghetti bolognese!

Chopping up the onions, while simultaneously not trying to burst into tears with how strong the onion is, I dice them into small cubes as well as doing the same with carrots before placing them into a pan full of sizzling oil. I also add crushed garlic too and let them fry gently while I begin to cook the mince in another pan. A giggle leaving my lips as Saori watches me intently. Her turquoise eyes shimmering with curiosity as she watches me shake the pans slightly to jostle the food about.

While the mince and the vegetables fry softly, I go through the cupboards to pull out some tomato purée, vegetable stock, canned tomatoes and some cornflour (should I need to thicken the sauce up a tad). My eyes sliding over the recipe on my phone to make sure that I have everything that I need before nodding to myself and grabbing the dried spaghetti pasta too.

Once everything had been fried, I transfer the vegetables into a big saucepan before draining the mince of the fat and adding it too. Then, I add some seasoning to make sure that it's bursting with flavour. I then add the stock and the canned tomatoes with the purée before stirring it all together and letting the bolognese simmer with the lid on top. The tomatoey smell wafts around the kitchen as I wipe down the sides.

While the bolognese simmers, I fill another saucepan with water and wait until it boils. In the water, I add salt and oil before waiting for it to bubble and boil. Once boiling, I add the spaghetti into the water and make sure that it's enough for all eight people that I'm catering for before having a quick taste of the bolognese to make sure it's perfect enough for me. Once happy, I place some garlic bread into the oven to let cook.

"Can someone set the table for me please?" I call out, sending Saori a small raspberry as she giggles toward me, "Dinner will be ready in about fifteen minutes!"

"We got it, don't worry," Shoto reassures me as he and the boys grab the placemats and begins to set the dining table while I begin to plate up the family's dinner, "What have we got? It smells delicious,"

"Spaghetti bolognese!" Saori chirps softly, giggling as Shoto lifts her into his arms and kisses her cheek, "Miss (Y/n) is the best!"

"She is, isn't she?" Shoto hums, rubbing her back as I pile spaghetti onto each plate before spooning bolognese on top with a smile, "Why don't you go wash your hands with your brother? Dinners nearly ready,"

Nodding happily, Saori rushes out of the kitchen as I grab the Parmesan from the counter and the cheese grater. With Shoto behind me, keeping an eye on the dishes, I grate the Parmesan over the spaghetti bolognese then topping it off with a small sprig. As I finish each plate, Shoto picks them up and sets them down on the dining table. The delighted coos from the kids at the sight of the dish makes my heart soar as I bring the final plate in and hand it to Shoto as he sits down.

"Thank you for dinner," Shoto hums, sending me a small smile as I nod happily toward him and rub the back of my neck softly, "Are you not eating?"

"Oh! Uh, no, I'm going out tonight," I tell him with a smile, giggling when Hiro and his sisters look toward me with knowing giggles, "I'll be okay, thank you,"

Before Shoto could reply, the doorbell rings making me smile gently. However, Shoto pushes to his feet to answer instead of allowing me to answer making me bite my lip nervously as I follow after him. My stomach fluttering with butterflies as Shoto opens up the door to reveal Katsuki behind it. The blonde clad in ripped jeans and a red and black plaid flannel shirt. A smirk on his lips as I wave toward him.

Shoto arches a brow and lets him in, unbeknownst to why he's actually here. The red and white haired male letting Katsuki follow him in before he sits back down at the dining table. Katsuki chuckles and ruffles Hiro's hair when he waves toward him before Katsuki situates himself behind me and wraps an arm around my waist.

"How come you're here? I thought you had a night with Kirishima, Ashido, Kaminari, Sero and Jiro?" Shoto asks, tilting his head as he slurps up his spaghetti while Momo feeds Mizumi gently, "What do you want?"

"Well, I'm here to pick Baby Face up," Katsuki says pulling me close and kissing my cheek making me flush bright red and giggle softly, "She's coming with me and having some fun,"

"Why are you taking her with you?" Momo asks gently, arching a brow at us as I lean into his chest slightly and hum, "She said she was going out tonight... oh my god! Are you two together?! Are you dating?!"

"Wait you're dating?" Shoto asks with wide eyes, staring at us with his mouth hanging as I snuggle into Katsuki's warmth and kiss his cheek, "Since when?"

"We started seeing each other... about a month or so ago and then I asked her to be my girlfriend two weeks ago," Katsuki explains, chuckling at Shoto's agog expression. The blonde resting his chin on my head while I interlink my hand with his, "And now I'm getting her to meet the others,"

"Good luck with that, they're all crazy," Shoto hums making me giggle and look up toward my boyfriend who scoffs and rolls his eyes, "I mean, they're friends with him so something's wrong with them,"

"Well, she's meeting Red Riot," Momo hums, clapping her hands making me smile nervously and fiddle with the collar of Katsuki's shirt, "Her favourite hero~"

"Oh yeah, speaking of which," Katsuki begins, showing me the grocery bag in his hands and pulling out a Dynamight hoodie, "You're wearing this,"

"Someone's making his mark~" Shoto teases, laughing as Katsuki eyes him with narrowed eyes as I take the hoodie from him and assess the hoodie slightly, "You might as well have peed all over her,"

"Ew! Shoto!" Momo gags, hitting her husband on his arm making him snort and look toward Katsuki who rolls his eyes and watches as I look at the hoodie, "Don't say that!"

"But it's a very common way of marking territory when you're an animal," Shoto explains making Momo snort as Shoto smirks toward Katsuki, "You should be familiar with that sort of thing, Katsuki,"

"What's that supposed to mean, Icyhot?!" Katsuki yells, a small groan leaving my lips at the fact that my ear is so close to his lips, "I'm not an animal!"

"Okay, Katsuki, okay," I hum, patting his cheek before a full on fight breaks out between the two heroes while Shoto snorts to himself. Slowly, I rest my palm against his cheek and rub my thumb over him. The male resting his cheek into my palm with a small sigh, slowly relaxing, "That's it,"

After pulling my hand away, I look back toward the Dynamight hoodie in my hands. It was pure black in colour with an orange cross sewn into the front. The strings were green like his gauntlets. The back of the hoodie had the words 'Baby Face' making my eyes widen slightly before looking toward my boyfriend who chuckles and kisses my cheek.

Did he personalise this for me?...

Blushing gently, I pull away from his arms to slip the hoodie on. My eyes widening slightly as it's practically a perfect fit. How did he know my size? Did he ask Sakino? Did he check the size on my other hoodies? Regardless, the gesture makes me hide my face into my hoodie with a small whine.

"How did you get that personalised?" Shoto asks, looking toward Katsuki who smiles and pulls me into his arms while I snuggle, "You get your mom to do it?"

"Yeah, now she's dangling the favour over my head," Katsuki grumbles as I kiss his cheek and lace my hands with his as he checks the time on his watch with a small hum, "But it's worth it, it's all hers now and she can wear this one now instead of the crappy Red Riot one she has,"

"Hey! I like that hoodie!" I protest softly, hitting his wrist gently making him chuckle and nuzzles his nose against mine, "It's my favourite one,"

"Well it's not anymore, this is your favourite now. No complaints,"...

"Oh my god, it's not like I fancy Red Riot,"...

"You better not, or you'll have something else to remind you that I'm better,"...
