Gentle Reader,

You may not know me as I don't know you. But if you decided to read this story, then I can guess two things about you: You're someone who likes to dive into a world of scandalous rendezvous and wicked passions. And you're somebody who likes to read takes of the absurd and the bizarre. Now if I am wrong, then please forgive me, but I think that you're someone who likes to take a walk on the wild side. But if I am right, then you are somebody who not fits the same description, but you're someone that I wrote this for- an audience who likes to dream of the forbidden and the fantastic dreams. All the same, I'm so glad that you have decided to stop by and give this magnum opus of mine a chance.

Before we begin, I would like to remind you that this tale is not the ones that you are mainly accustomed to. No, dear reader. This tale of mine contains a potpourri of soap-opera glamour, science-fiction wonders with a generous helping of teen-fiction glory, and even a hint of...erotic passions. And some of these chapters will be a bit risqué and overly-passionate at times. So I must warn you that this is not recommended for the innocent ears of children and preteens, the elderly, the faint-hearted, or even the close-minded conservatives. So I must advise you to read this at the privacy of your homes and far away from the overly-curious- or rather, when you are in bed for the evening (or whenever you have the time to read this).

With that all said, I must allow you the opportunity to make sure that you have everything that a book lover such as yourself would have- snacks, drinks, and a music playlist of your choosing. If you haven't already, then place this tale aside so you can gather everything that you'll need. And again, make sure that you are reading this in the privacy of your home and tune out any distractions (locking your doors, blocking the numbers of any telemarketers, lowering the blinds, and other addendums). That way, you'll be enjoying this story. Now, are you fully prepared with everything that you'll need? And are you seated comfortably?

Then let's begin.

I would like to take you on a journey- a strange yet wondrous journey that is thrilling, chilling, and electrifying.

How so?

I would like for you to meet Ja'Marco Hedare- a young Black man who was described as reserved, cynical, and kept to himself by his family- as he moves from the streets of Compton to the glamorous coastal town of Glenview Valley, Rhode Island to meet his birth father and his family for the first time while leading the move as his family stays behind to finish the packing. Ja'Marco, of course, wasn't too sure of what to expect when he arrived, much less too amused to meet his birth father since he was perfectly fine of not knowing the man. But his mother's no-nonsense and domineering attitude (alongside those of his stepsister, cousin, and even his stepfather's relatives) have bullied him to be complacent as he decides to lead the move and prepares himself for a journey.

Now, it was true that upon his arrival Ja'Marco would discover that the town of Glenview Valley had a certain...mystical and sensual charm that was latent underneath the cosmopolitan yet antebellum coastal town. It was also true that he would be warned to not stay around long enough by some of the townspeople who say that nothing was what it seems. And it was also true that there were some secrets that our young main character was destined to find out, despite the warnings from certain people (including his offbeat group of friends back in California).

But knowing his mother, Ja'Marco was to make the most of his newfound dynamic shift and decided to keep a stiff upper lip. And despite himself, he made a promise to endure what was to come and make the most of the last days of summer vacation before starting his junior year at Glenview Valley Academy for Boys. Ja'Marco, for better or worse, had to assure himself that he would hope that the last two years of high school would be memorable as would his final few weeks of his summer vacation.

Well, dear reader?

It would be a new dynamic shift- moving to Glenview Valley, meeting the Quitman family, and starting his junior year at a new school- that would indeed be memorable for a very long time.

And so it begins, folks! I hope y'all are ready for the realness of what's to come. I wouldn't blame you if you decide to go no further and seek lighter fare if you're not into this story that would be so forbidden yet so right. But if you dare to dive into the unknown and wicked, then stick around for the first chapter!
