Ellie, why am I now a walking underwear model?

And how come my eyes changed from hazel to sea-green?

But more importantly, did every one of the guys who came to Glenview Valley Academy for Boys felt like I was when they started school here?

All good questions, but not enough answers because I know that Mom and Dad would accuse me of being paranoid or letting someone scare me out of the deal I made to stay until my birthday and give the town a chance. And I would also be letting down the Quitmans because they seemed to take a liking to me.

Ugh, Ellie, it feels like I'm caught between a rock and a hard place because if I just go with the flow, I might as well be selling my soul to the devil and have my grandparents haunt me from the dead. But if I decide to up and leave Rhode Island, that'll mean that I'm only being petty.

The only way to get through it all is by sticking it out and just going about my day. So pray for me, Ellie girl, because I have a feeling that something is amiss over here.

September 16th.

Ellie, I feel so foolish right now.

Mainly because I'm being paranoid over how I'm now a star athlete and how I'm supposed to be growing up as a normal young man should. And for me to just up and leave this town would be reckless. Yeah, I said that I was going to stick things out until Halloween, but not when I'm already making new friends and getting ahead in all my classes.

Not only that, I'm starting to get closer to Uncle Ryan and my cousins. That makes Mom and Dad happy as well as my brother and sister, which makes me happy. I don't wanna let everyone down now.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to see you when you and your parents come over for a visit this weekend. I just hope that you won't be too offended to see me as a jock when you still remember me as a typical bookworm who quoted movie stars and wanted to be a film producer. Maybe I can show you all around town and introduce you to the guys. But I gotta head to practice right now. This weekend is going to be the best weekend ever! I'm sure of it!

Ooh, child! Y'all ready know that Steven's already adapting to the new ideals in Glenview Valley, but how long will he last when Ellie learns of his new look? All I can say is that the new entries in a few more chapters are going to be memorable!

Anyway, we're off to the town library in the next chapter as Ja'Marco begins his research on the town's history before a run-in with Kristen Yuen leads to something ominous. Don't miss out!
